Thank tip fir showing all the ports. Only review I’ve seen that does.
Very exciting ! Mine arrives this Tuesday, I paid $2000 NZD as it was on special. Thank you for your review of it.
Thats awesome Ron! You'll love it, This is quite a impressive monitor 😁, it was my pleasure Ron!
How you finding it? I just brought one
dude, thanks for showing the text part. helped me avoided this thing like a plague. i can't deal with blurry text. going to buy a LG C1 / C2 instead.
Lg c1 or c2 are awesome displays, either one, you won't regret 😎
Dude what wallpaper is that? Dope af!
this is retro racer in Wallpaper Engine 🤙
Great video bro. Throughly done with good info. I'm planning to upgrade to this monitor from my 32inch 4k BenQ EW3270U for my ps5. It's currently on amazon for £1,250. Idk whether to get it now (as there's only 1 model left) or wait till black Friday but even then idk if the price will drop for black Friday.
Thanks a lot bro! I'd pick it up, more than likely it won't go on discount for this year, if you are looking for a discount best bet would be wait til next year. I hope this helped 😁✌️
@@ChrisMizo thanks for reply bro I'll be sure to buy it now then. U earned a sub
Welcome to the fam bam and it means a lot to us! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask ✌️
@@ChrisMizo i think this one has bad G2G. I had the XG43Q which is the HDR600 version of this and can't stand it. @21:56 I can tell it's the same.
So what’s the difference between console mode and Asia hdr game mode ? Just no hdr on console ?
How many HDMI connections are there?
I've had my eye on this for a few weeks, just not sure if the price is worth it. I use a Samsung 40" 4k HDR TV as my monitor, which was $600 a couple of years ago, and I have zero complaints, but I've never used a large format monitor before.
Large format monitors are pretty awesome for it's low input lag and it's fast refresh rate for gaming, using a full hdtv isn't a bad choice either but your capabilities will be limited from your PC, I hope that makes sense 😁✌️
I hope you didn’t get this! An LG OLED tv would provide a much nicer image quality
@@Nookie94 and provide burn in
@@gooddoc8129 By the time it burns in with modern OLED technology, you'd be buying a new one anyway... unless you are playing world of warcraft all day with the same icons on screen all day every day for years, then you're fine. Most people will replace their OLED tv before it gets burn-in anyway.
mine died after 8 days from new
Is this better than the Aorus fv43u or should I get a LG C1? Im looking for a display for gaming only.
Fv43u isn't too bad of a choice either as they are similar to Asus' display, LG C1 is also one of the top choices especially that it's OLED and best for deep blacks and colors, OLED is way better then any VA colors but may run into burn in issues which is permanent damage.
@@ChrisMizo These 43" HDR 1000 monitors are almost better than my CX in some ways. The highlights are much more stunning. Personally, I find it much more immersive when the high brightness can make you feel like you're actually staring at a bright sky. The larger the bright area you're looking at in HDR on an OLED the lower the peak brightness gets... it actually ends up looking pretty dim and dull and the highlights just don't pop. The FV43U is a better HDR experience than my CX. It's a better balance of brightness and contrast. The contrast on the oled can't be beat the brightness is definitely lacking.
Hi bro! Can you tell me please what settings are best for PlayStation 5 like contrast and brightness and color please?? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Andrea! I got another video based on console settings, make sure to check it out 👍
6:56 says it won't reflect light while showing it how much it reflects light.
Every screen reflects light in a way, Asus reflects much less light as it is a matte screen, also I doubt your gonna be pointing a large led spotlight to a screen while your using your monitor 😆
I just brought this monitor. I would to know. What settings to put it on for fast pace gaming
What are you specs for your PC or are you playing on console? I'll have console settings released upcoming on Thursday
@@ChrisMizo console xbox series X
Can you make a video for the console to the monitor please with settings.
Sure, that's something I can certainly do Tiny Tony 😎
@@ChrisMizo for console ps5 or xbox x series, what are the best set hdr?? Asus gaming or asus console mode??please
sound very similar to Gigabyte FV43U - I wonder if they used a fake HDMI 2.1 with DSC like the Gigabyte offering (I sure hope not, that was one of the biggest bummer of that monitor)
They do not as Asus uses 0 subsampling 👍
Just bought this monitor brand new for my ps5 and some of the settings are greyed out on the menu. Colour, brightness, ELMB shadow boosting etc. how do I fix this?
when you have HDR enabled the options will be grayed out
I was debating to get a monitor like this for work, but seeing as the text isn't great i think i'll pass on this one. Are there any good alternatives that have good text display?
Sure! What type of usage and what kinda specs are you looking for?
@@ChrisMizo Usage : Mostly work, gaming in the future when graphics cards become affordable again Requirements : at least 32 inch, at least 1600 pixels vertically, 100Hz Nice to have : Gsync Unsure about : curved, for work purposes LG 34WK95U would be a good choice but is only 60Hz, like most 4k(+) monitors
@@FuZZbaLLbee geni.us/vSRyOB This one is a great choice, only thing it's 60hz too
@@ChrisMizo Yeah seems quite similar to the LG one. Except that LG does have local dimming and thunderbolt 3
That is true, I believe MSI has the same but either way would work. I got a few more ideas once I get home 👍
did you try adjusting the clear type settings?
yes cleartype was used
Take a shot every time you hear, "this monitor"
Just bought the monitor. I need a good size monitor for my new Xbox that has HDMI 2.1. New TVs only use HDCP 2.2 which is a feature that requires another HDCP 2.2 to obtain any graphic quality better than 4k @ 60 fps. It doesn’t matter if I buy ab8k TV, If I don’t connect to a new TV with a HDCP 2.2 device it forces the video quality down to 1080p!
Right on the money bro!
How can i get rid off the racing-mode while playing COD on my console?
You need to turn off HDR to change the modes in your settings, this Monday I'll share best settings for HDR and Consoles
What are the differences between this monitor and PG43UQ? Thanks.
The digital frequencies between both pg43uq and xg43uq are different as pg43 uses displayport and HDMI 2.0 and xg43uq has displayport, HDMI 2.0x2 and HDMI 2.1x2 which can give you better dynamic range.
@@ChrisMizo Thanks a lot.
No problem at all ✌️
They have a rog swift oled pg43uq also
Would this monitor provide the best quality for the PS5 4k at 120 hertz?
Yes this monitor is awesome for it, although Asus has released a oled version which would give you the best color
hi.... what are settings for xbox series x and ps5 on xg43uq...???? and enable vrr?
Hey bro, I'll have a video based on this tomorrow @10am, make sure to stay tuned 👍
@@ChrisMizo hi.. the name of the video what is? please
@@ChrisMizo where is the video???
It just premiered bro, I'll send you the link kzhead.info/sun/rLOCp8mNoIWhmKM/bejne.html
Just ordered this monitor… for my Xbox and of course it’s not made for photo editing it was only made for gaming… but hopefully it meets my expectations
I think it will exeed especially if your using it mainly for your Xbox, HDR on Asus' is perfectly bright as the contrast sticks out
Does it support 4K gaming and ray tracing for the ps5?
Yes it does 👍
@@ChrisMizo good and I know you said it may not work well for working but would it work well for graphic design work I really want something that can be used for gaming and work.
Why you so close to the camera my guy
Wish they would've boxed it without the stand..now the box is huge and too bulky to travel with smh
I had the XG438Q. Terrible G2G. I guess VA is VA.
G2G is never the best when it comes to VA monitors, instead their design is meant to take advantage of the design to predict movement. Not all is a fan of g2g and it's understandable why
@@ChrisMizo i find that the smearing on this big screen is noticeable. If only they can fix that, i would have chosen this over ultra-wide.
Will my 1080ti handle this monitor? Thanks
It can but not in 4k, it'll do well in hd gameplay and you could always end up upgrading your card in the near future
Anyway no sense buy this now with c2 OLED 42” out
@@ChrisMizo Thank you for your reply
Input lag?
1~4ms of input lag
I hear many of complaints over the internet with ghosting and blurring on this monitor. Many say it's not suitable for first person shooters because of blurring and ghosting, which is sort of ridiculous as most people would be buying a high variable refresh monitor exactly so that they may have the competitive edge in fast paced first person shooters. One is left wondering what to believe and if true, then how can ASUS market this as a true gaming monitor in a large display format. Myself... I would be wishing to buy this for my ASUS gaming PC laptop which already has a 144Hz G-Sync'd display built-in which is too small for my liking.
Exactly! This monitor does feature ELMB and USC which can reduce ghosting and pixel drag but HDR would have to be off, this monitor is definitely good enough for most gamers as Asus xg43uq will do perfectly fine as it is more for 4k centric and to take advantage of VA panel usage 👍
@@ChrisMizo I have an ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX501GI EI012T with GTX1080 G-Sync, 1TB, i7-8750H, 16GB. Admittedly it's a few years old now, so it does not have HDMI 2.1 but it does have Display Port connection through it's USB-C connector socket (unless mistaken). There are some USB-C to HDMI 2.1 connector adaptors available out there to buy, however I was relieved to see that when you pulled off the rear back panel, that there was a Display Port connector socket hidden next to the HDMI 2.1 sockets. So I'm assuming I have either the option of using a USB-C to HDMI 2.1 cable adapter, or a USB-C to Display Port cable adapter (of which the latter maybe better, not sure?).
That's right bro, you'll have the option of using either usb-c to HDMI 2.1 or USB-c to displayport, I'd go with displayport if you decide to purchase this cable 👌
VA PANEL 😫
i wouldn't recommend this monitor at all
Everyone is entitled to their opinion 👌
@@ChrisMizo no its not really an opinion i just bought one and had to send it back unfortunately only had it 8 days was annoying because it cost a fair bit . after using it for for 4 hours every night for 7 days the 8th day it was glitching all over the home screen on pc then there we're lines in the black and light leak went off the charts on arma3 at night it was going dark to light constantly even the in-built cross hair was changing colour with the light leak and it started turning off randomly every 5 minutes made some electricity sounds then turned off never to come on again so i sent back really wanted it fir years to come was gutting 😓
