Wolf Pack Hunts A Hare | 4K UHD | The Hunt | BBC Earth
A diet of leverets will not be enough to sustain a growing pup or feed an entire wolf pack, so bigger prey is needed. The problem is bigger prey like the Hare are incredibly agile and can run up to speeds of 60 km per hour. If this wolf pack are not going to go hungry, they will need to hunt as a unit.

The howling of the wolves is erily beautiful
The pups are sooo cute😊
Pups are hungry, chewing each other tails, pushing mama wolf, that little howl from the pup was superb... That dramatic chase was intense... Real hardwork & wait for the whole BBC EARTH team...
I'm glad I don't have to work that hard for a meal.
We complain if the pizza delivery is late ..
😂
Looks like the wolves has more calorie burned than calorie input from the hare...
that's like an appetizer for 4 wolves to share....
R.i.P Hare, but the pack is hungry. This is nature
Thanks Captain OBVIOUS 🙄

BBC Earth has the best camera work, of course David is in his own league.
Omg that was so intense but the hare broke their ankles like 5 times 😂😅😅👏
aww the little howls
“Run run run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the speedy hare man!”
There's no hiding place/objects convenient for ambush & white hair, easy to spot the presence each other. An unsual setup, but both prey & predator find life there. Genius is nature.
Love how the soundtrack was in perfect sync with hare's jump in the beginning of the video
Very old video but worth watching again..
Does anyone know how they capture this so well? The video footage is just mind blowing!!
Drones
@@hanniaedithmartinezadame794This was filmed before drones. I saw it decades ago.
@@plumeria66 this documentary was released in 2015, wth are you talking about?
Nature...... beautiful and scary at the same time...😢😊
@3.14. Impeccable audio quality at first. You can hear the shaggy coats of the wolves rustling. You can actually hear the hare licking its lips once its got away.... Once. Then when they catch it, someone through immersion out the window again. Bites weren't even timed properly.

Canines are so vicious, when a feline catches its prey it suffocates it first and then starts eating, but these wolves just start ripping the thing apart
African wild dogs are especially known for this, though that's likely because there are so many other predators that will steal from them if they take too long. I've seen some canines suffocate their prey by biting the windpipe from the front and holding on, like lone coyotes when they hunt deer. However, with a small prey like this hare that doesn't require much effort to restrain, it probably makes more sense to just start eating.
Felines are so vicious. They kill just for pleasure. Also, take a look at what hyenas do.
I don’t think they care about being kind if their family is starving. Human morals don’t need to be applied to animals.
Poor bunny! But they've got to eat too. Survival in the food chain.
I burned more calories watching this than the hares worth
What a run
Omg! Rabbit is super fast!!
I very much enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
The first hunt was intense
Love these Videos

Leader of the Pack
Does anyone know where was this filmed? Tried google, not much luck.
Wow!
I wonder how many calories are in a hare, and how it compares to the ones the pack expended to chase it down 🤔
"I'm you"
If humans had to work this hard for their food they wouldn't be sick as they are today.
Most would have starved to death
nice video ❤
Baby wolfs are so cute

Has the hare a burrow ?
Running at nearly 40 mph on rough terrain 😮 You'd have trouble driving a car that fast on that terrain. And you certainly couldn't corner.
feeling sorrow for the hare but its the law of nature

The hare shouldn't have stopped after the first chase
Where you go
Poor wolf, not enough meat
I am you
The baby are kissing ❤❤❤
Why does the hare often change its direction when fleeing? Wouldn't a straight path be a better strategy?
Because running straight makes it so that the wolves can just run fast enough to catch it. Also every successful duke creates a great distance between the hare and one wolf.
Even in animal survival games this strategy fails, turning is the best defense.
as someone who'd had rabbits growing up, this should be a hard one to watch
Sad day for the pack😢
And the worst one for the hair.

Да уж, жалко зайца. Такова природа всех живых существ.
I actually wanted the bunny rabbit to lose in this vid. Tough choices here people.
why hare suddenly out of nowhere
Потому что они его сами выпустили для съемок. Так снимают фильмы о животных
Squad gotta eat!
هذه القناة تتكلم كثيراً عن المخلوقات من حيونات وطبيعه... اليس من العقل الحديث عن خالقها الله....؟
I wonder why. Yet evidence that speaks of the Maker of these creatures is seen in nature. However sin has marred the work of God. Nature doesn't represent Him perfectly but His word the bible does. Mostly through His son Jesus Christ. Now we may behold His character in it's beauty as we behold the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus Even we are transformed to be like Him.
Nahh the hare had already had many children, a life well lived hare
