Had mine since late last year as my first rifle and love it. Andy tells the truth about its accuracy, it makes me look good.
yes a fine rifle ...
Good morning everyone from a sunny but frosty St. Helen’s. Hope everyone has a great day and thanks for another great video Andy.
same here in York , have a good day
Same in Birmingham bit lolk great
Very sunny here in Shropshire morning all
@@Theshropshireratter enjoy have a good day
Very sunny here on Puebla
I’m watching from 🇨🇦 this is the best air gun channel
Bought the orange laminate stock Lyra as my first rifle really like it glad it’s had a good review Andy enjoying your channel
Good grief, it's not even 8am & I'm looking online to see who has these in stock. Stop showing us these fabulous rifles Andy, I really don't have room for any more 😫
Paid a visit to the Vector air shop today(thankfully only about 30 mins from where I live).Wasn't intending on buying much but ending up with a Sentinel 10x40x50 scope, mounts, sidewheel, spirit level, some Apollo reactive targets and a tin of Hades !!!!!! Great assortment of stock and a very helpful and informative man behind the counter.Highly recommend this place.I will certainly be making a return visit(s)
the price has the wow factor..and shoots spot on.
I would buy one tomorrow if I had the money and didn't have a Pretensis. Glad to see Reximex have moved away from the probe filler , wish all manufacturers would adopt the same method. I have had my Pretensis over three years and it has been faultless.
Good Morning everybody and our Friday Host Andy ....... ice on my car ? This morning , brrrrr .... Have a fantastic day ... Cheers Si 😃😃
Good morning Simon! How are you today? You liked what you saw today? I for surely did - even though I'm more of the tactical looking rifle guys. The price tag on it surely is insane(ly low) - if all, or even most of them shoot this good! Incredible group at 40m for that price! I really liked the stock design too. Niiice...
Morning all, great review Andy. I absolutely love my Lyra and looks played a big part in my choice. The single shot tray is naff so got an after market one from Bob Pattenden, which is an awesome bit of kit. The power adjuster comes in handy when the kids want a go at plinking in the backyard, with adult supervision of course.
Good morning Andy and everyone from a sunny Stratford-upon-Avon, great review andy of a great looking rifle i to love the traditional look of a rifle with a wood stock ,looks like i may adding one of these to my collection very soon ,and as a lefty i prefer the cocking lever on the right side of rifle ,
Hello from from sunny Chorley and thank you, Andy, for another honest, to the point review. That looks like a fantastic air rifle for the money and amazing accuracy. I think the laminate stocks though extremely attractive maybe a little bright for hunting. Personally, I like the traditional walnut look and this one looks a definate winner for not a lot of pennies and a great fourteen pellets in the magazine. Thank you.
Great review Andy.
Just got a reximex after seeing your recommendation on it and what a fantastic accurate gun
Hello all , Andy yet another great review , I tried the Lyra out at the shooting show nice peace of kit 👍
As always, a great detailed review 👌 a great rifle , very accurate 😮 really enjoyed this Video 👍👍👍
Spot on as always Andy!!
Looks a nice thing, reminds me a little of my old titan manitou ahh the good times I had with that, great video, keep em comin!
Bought one to get back into shooting, Awsome rifle & this review is spot on,
HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT REXIMEX LYRA. I HAVE THE DAYSTAR MODEL IN 5.5 AND IT HAS ME FASCINATED. THIS LYRA LOOKS VERY GOOD. CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR CHANNEL. RECEIVE A CORDIAL GREETINGS FROM CAL DEL CENTINELA AIR GUNS ESPAÑA. GREETINGS FROM PIERA (BARCELONA) SPAIN
So not to labour a point another Turkish rifle , extremely accurate , well appointed with equipment, walnut furniture and ferociously priced ! What more could you ask for ? Nice review well constructed Andy , only 2 problems . 1. Got to wait another week for the next one. 2 . Mrs P working from home , weetabix or cornflakes ? Bahhhhh Dave
I think just made my mind up IE I had 2 on my list before rexymex myth / smk snowpeak M60 . The Lyra for the price is amazing and almost pellet on pellet can not fault it 👍
Cracking bit of kit for the money 👍😁🏴✌️
Very nice looking gun Accurate too.
Very impressive nice one Andy👍
Thanks for sharing sir 🎯🇬🇧👍🏼
that gun has a very long barrel which very much helps with accuracy nice gun i will have one soon grab one
Hello folks from Sunny, yes sunny Kent. Brilliant review Andy. I got one of these 4 months ago for 25 mtr bench rest, it's not let me down. Like @yetiwheeler7972, I got a single loader from Bob Pattenden, the single shot try provided is rubbish, too big and the pellets tumble all ways when dropped in. Studs did get in the way for target shooting, very easy to unscrew them though. Mine loves JSB express @ 7,87 and does well with JSB Heavy @ 10,34 and surprisingly well suited with SMK spitfires @ 8.1. Keep those reviews coming. Have a great day folkes.
Oo-er Mr Grimsdale, that's pretty nifty grouping. I'm a bit of an old traditionalist myself and I do like the slightly funky look of the stock.
good mate, review is showing such good quality for a reasonable price. Even if you add on the cost of the silencer.
I'm going to have to stop watching this channel. I didn't want another rifle before I watched this review last night. Ended up buying one this morning!!!
Thanks
Perfect as summer’s coming up , it would make a perfect cricket bat 🏏
always love the unique style of this rifle.... and yet another rifle on the to get list lol :)
I prefer the walnut stock for this and the stock does looks fantastic, some great lines. I'd see this more of a bench use gun.
Beautiful rifle.
Thanks for a great review. Could you please consider using a silencer to be able to show the difference of with and without. Many thanks.
wow thats a great price really nice looking too
I like that good review
Thanks Andy, nice rifle especially for the price, I am not sure about the shape of the stock ant the butt though.
That does seem value for money and a good looking rifle too, what more do you need. Definitely one to consider for those starting out or for someone wanting a workhorse.
The accuracy is impressive, the price is inviting and with it being a smaller 200 bar it must be easier to fill with a hand pump. I've never been around a PCP so I have no idea how much effort it takes to fill one. I know I won't be shooting regularly so investing in a compressor would probably be a waste. Could I ask you to please take one for the team and show how much effort it takes to fill one with a hand pump. My area has no shops where I could go (min 4 hr drive) and test so I rely on channels such as yours for accurate info. Much appreciated.
I was bidding on a pump, but when I lost that auction, I went with the Chinese compressor. The full price of a manual pump (around 80-100 for a good one or 50-60 for a no-name) is just not worth the effort IMO, just get the compressor for ~150. You can find some videos of pumping these kinds of low pressure guns, it's a workout for sure.
@@miskammonI'd say it all depends on how regular you shoot, If you only shoot for a short period once or twice a week then the hand pump is feasible, if you shoot a lot then the compressor would be better, I do question the reliability of those cheap pumps though, Tempting but I would not want to keep rebuilding one should it keep failing.
@@coaldust01 Got the compressor a few days ago. Fills the gun in less than a minute.
@@miskammon Honestly, I'll probably end up with one soon, Took my reximex accura from 100 bar to about 220 bar, Thought I was going to have to phone A&E at one point lol, There's some great videos on KZhead on the cheaper Chinese ones like how to keep them running reliability etc, Good luck with yours.
@@coaldust01 Went from 0-200 in a minute and later from 100-220 in 30sec, cant complain for 150€
Good morning Andy, if you have the opportunity for review at least one Zbroia PCP gun it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the effort that you put in your videos.
Pssssst.......There was a pair of woodies in the background. Great gun and review again, keep 'em coming
i just wondered if some times you could show an over the shoulder shot as well as the insert one to show the target as much as i enjoy your videos we all have to take your word for what range you are shooting at.
Looks quality for the money
Very nice.
The trigger on these can be adjusted to be very light,as good as my AA S510 for accuracy..no kidding
Too big as a carry, but an ideal target gun. Its excellent vfm ! Thanks vm Andy.
That is good value for a rifle like that.
Looking at new 22 air rifle in about 3 months this ticks all my boxes and like in in the standard wood
Very Nice '' Another Great Video Andy 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Hi Andy.. i thought you may like it..
Been gagging for this review for months and not disappointed. Huge amount of rifle inc. beautifully shaped and finished walnut stock for ridiculously cheap price. May have missed it in the video but is this regulated too ? Thanks Andy, just needed your stamp of approval 😁
This isn't, but you can get the Pretensis/Daystar with a regulator. But watching reviews I came to the conclusion that its not really worth it because you get a lot of consistent shots without it.
useful review thanks - could you review the Reximex Regime Apex PCP Air Rifle .22 ?? and Trimex Arms ELF-S Bullpup PCP Air Rifle .22 ?? cheers
The power adjustment is not a waste of time if you are target shooting is it ?
would it be on a parr with FX Dreamlite Classic
Nice rifle for the price 👍
What a lot of gun for the money, looks like it should be much more. With a little more time behind the trigger reckon you could shoot the ears off a fly LOL . Nice one as usual Andy.
That's clinched it, new gun day tomorrow.
Thanks for another great review. The one you did on the Crosman Mission prompted me to look at its rivals. Have you covered the Umarex Emerge, or is it not available in a UK spec - or does it fall under different branding here?
I'd love to see the Umarex Notos (US name) reviewed but I don't know if it's available in the UK. The US specs has it's muzzle energy in .22 at 13ft/lbs though. 😔 I did Email the Umarex European customer service department asking if it was available in the UK market, but I've had nothing back. This was easily 2 months ago. Not a good sign imo if you have an issue with your product. The only issue is the cylinder size at 66cc 250bar 21 shots per fill 😒 I'd love to see Andy review their Air Javelin arrow launchers. Crossbow type power from a rifle silhouette.
@@benballard-ho7tu Someone mentioned on a ?Canadian? YT review channel that Umarex may be marketed in the UK under Milbro branding. The closest Milbro .177 multishot break-barrel is a springer - the Huntmaster MKII. However, that's a springer, while the Umarex Emerge is a gas-ram.
@@lindsayheyes925 milbro are a branch of smk now, they got bought out a while back I believe.
Got one in January,Fill to 190 bar as they have a Burst disc , and Bought a aftermarket single loader awesome gun. The single shot Supplied is rubbish using it as a Target Gun.
Looks good that. However, I purchased a Vixen short after seeing your review of it. So anything you say about muzzle crack or silencers I ignore now ✌️
So, you found them louder? Or quieter..?
@@kimberleyaxxxx934 Louder than expected Kim. Its a well known downside. Obtaining and fitting a silencer is more difficult to.
@robmallion5957 good to know..thanks Rob.
I attempted to buy one online but was messed about for weeks. Sadly im not a Lyra owner at the moment but who knows
I’ve seen a couple of these budget pcp rifles basically putting pellet on pellet at 40 mtrs wind allowing and smart looking as well, why the hell do people waist 1000£+on a sub 12 air rifle when this will do exactly what you want at these distances,if it was a centre fire rifle going out to 300+ I’d kind of get it but 40 mtrs come on
What is cost if had a 600 or 400 instead of 200
You need some sheep in the paddock Andy. Grass is getting overgrown. ;-)
I chose a kral np02 over this gun I don't think I would have been disappointed in either gun to be honest
Can you fit a bayonet 😂😂
Is it just an ata airborne with a reximex logo?
Ooh! A carbine version of that would be nice! Can you twist their arms Andy?
Morning all! Still waiting for proper shooting weather… Have a nice weekend everyone!
yes its 2 cold for nice shooting ... good morning
I know just want to get out there. If I clean me riffles anymore they will wear away
@@simonnoble7589 Morning Simon!
@@fliesarenegade Good morning, 🌅 how are you this week? Bit cold 🥶 today . Did you like 👍🏻 this rifle today ?
@@fliesarenegade winds dropped here for a bit lol might get out on the range , this afternoon .... supposed to warm up next wk?
Great production quality and information but please…. The rifle isn’t nearly as long as the repetitive format. Personally I preferred it when you showed, explained then demonstrated and gave your concluding opinion. As a long time subscriber I find I’m FFWD the second half on the range, as I’m able to remember what you said a whole 2 minutes earlier. Im sure I’m in the minority, just feel the extra padding isn’t necessary. Stay safe and shoot safe!
Not regulated ?
On the subject of how long it is I thought that rifles had to be a certain minimum length of 40in .this may be an old law or I might be wrong about this . Anyone know more about this ? as with the tiny bull pups that are very short I was wondering if they fall foul on this point .I know it may take some time but a shot count (or an educated guess) woud be very useful for prospectively buyers .if this is hitting with this level of accuracy why spend £1000 on a gun? Is it to hit your target or show off to your friends?
Bit off this topic I remember seeing a video of a rifle with a triangle shaped silencer can you please tell me the review it was Many thanks Karl
Remington I think
Found it T rex thought the silencer was funky but was built in not threaded 🤔
Very nice work well 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Not a criticism but can't anyone do reviews on airguns when they have had a few thousands pellets through them to see how thay fare in the long term.
It looks like a musket with that stock😂
Shame they don’t make a Carbine version…that’s just a little too long for me.
A bit skinny with the woodwork!
Bargain price. Would prefer a bullpup version if they have one.
Nice accuracy, don't like the stock. Ugh
It looks like my bengamin cayden that shoots slugs as good as hunting pellets
Sun is shining in Spain in 18 ft pound world.
My life for the last 15 years
😘💕👍👍
I,m watching from the Netherlands, so not everyone that’s watching is in a sub 12ft/lbs area.
Shouldn't it be ,, Quality on a Bhughet
Who's been copying the JTS Airacuda's homework and forgot their reading glasses? Safety way too short! No shroud, dodgy magazine, no adjustable stock and the stock is not made from a single piece of wood (blocks glued together and machined-terrible look
£365 wow! Looks a bit long for vermin work but what a bargain!
Morning all
Hey , how are you ? Are you shooting today ?
Hi, no not today, working and quite showery here in Swansea.
@@sergentcolon1 it`s not bad here in York ... sunny spells , light wind ... it`s going to warm up a bit next week ... Cheers
@@simonnoble7589 about time it did lol
Andy, I love the channel but pretty please, with sugar on it, stop telling me left-handers prefer righ-hand actions. We don't and a right-hander doesn't get to second guess our preferences. Most left-handed shooters I've talked to have become accustomed to using a right-hand action out of Hobson's choice. I used to be one such, but after finally getitng a truly left-hand rifle, the difference in shot time is significant and the 'comfort' of a gun that actually operates as it was intended to makes shooting so much more of a pleasure. We left-handers spend a lot of time compromising because we're only 10% of the population, so we're pretty good at adapting, but that is really not the same as 'prefering the right-handed action'. That's just the right-hander (or right-wing) excuse for not bothering to make a truly ambidextrous product.
I don’t think I said Most left handers prefer prefer right hand action. I said the action side can be a personal choice whether right or left handed, making it difficult for a gun to be classed as right or left handed. some like to keep their hand on the grip and trigger and cock with the other hand, but strictly speaking a handed gun should require you to remove said hand to use the action. I know lots of left or right handers who prefer to use an action with the non-grip hand to keep the gun stable. Hence I concentrate more on the stock being handed or ambidextrous. It would be nice if all guns came with an interchangeable cocking lever, but that would be a costly venture, especially for budget guns. I for one will often prefer a right handed gun with a left handed action, but I don’t get hung upon either way really. Thanks for your comment, first time I’ve had this in the millions of hits on the channel, and to have it twice from you has got you opinion across. Stay safe. Andy
Don't like the Arab flintlock sytle stock butt
Looks like an Arabian musket. 😂
