His hit was timed to the start of invasion & fully propped up as part of its propaganda. No hyperbole.

  • Dimash learned this beautiful folk song in 24 hours on the plane with his pianist Chornobryvtsi written in 1957 in Paris by the Ukrainian poet Mikola Singaivsky, born 1936 in Kieve- death 2013* Mikola was nine years old when he and his Mamma Ulyana after the second World war in nineteen forty-five returned to Kieve, partly destroyed in 1941 and the women plant marigolds among the ruins, Dimash sings the song with so much tenderness and care for his mother, but also as something fragile, I always cry when I hear it, Mikola says: It is a flower that blooms in the land of dawn, where the Dark Ages end, as Mikola describes it burned into his heart, at the age of 21 in Paris in 1957, where he saw a flowerbed with marigolds. 'Motherflower grows right before my eyes in this far foreign land in France Dimash received a standing ovation in Kieve and the people all sang Chornobryvtsi, the song was composed by Volodymyr Vermenych Vladimir 1925-1986 Chornobrytsvi is sung in concerts by Ukrainian refugees here in the Netherlands, thank you so much Sir H Music for your beautiful sensitive reaction and description of what we heard is in line with the history of this song ❤❤

So, he never saw his mum, dad or all but one of his siblings, after he left Ukraine, aged 18. This song was so special to him, and all absent Ukrainians. Every house he lived in he planted Marigolds. 😢

  • It is actually very common that he invites the audience to sing with him (of course not the vocally crazy songs). It happens a lot at every concert. I think you need to see entire concerts to understand the atmosphere and how much he interacts with his audience and asks for their participation. Dimash's concerts are so emotional and full of love, always. His personality is just as beautiful as his voice.

Dimash is the first born in his family. His whole family lives in the same house so it doesn’t make much difference. His grandmother does not like to be called grandmother. • Ikanide is also one of my favorites for an emotional song. Check out a song that he did that appears on the soundtrack from a Chinese drama called, go go squid. The name of the song is COULDN'T LEAVE. It immediately tugs at your heart. Would make a grown man cry. Done only as Dimash could do.

  • Sir Hairless, I never skip your explanations because you're the best at making difficult things easy to understand for people like me who don't know much about music!! You could be a really great teacher I think 🥰 love this song and all of Dimash's songs so much... have you heard Amanat? It's just so beautiful. I don't know if that's one of Dimash's originals or a cover , maybe someone else knows, but I hope you will react to it!

  • Beautiful! ❤️💔 The song, Dimash's performance, the emotion, the crowd singing, Dimash's mother - and your reaction! Love your emotional analysis! For me it's even more heartbreaking because only about 2 weeks later their should have been Dimash's concert in Düsseldorf/Germany and due to the pandemic it was cancelled and we had to wait 2 long years for it, (I was so desperate) and 2nd - this is in Kiev, and only 2 years later after this Putin started the war with the advance on Kiev - no lovely friendly beautiful concerts in Ukraine - and Russia - anymore. This is so sad. It is unbelievable that this performance is already 4 years old.... Much love to you, looking forward to your next reaction! ❤️
