Synopsis:
Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix Trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

I appreciate how this movie was able to keep the classic Wolfman look, and still have it be so much more of a ferocious monster than the original without seeming too cheesy, especially with the Assylum transformation. I love how Anthony Hopkins Wolf form still clearly looks like him. Shows that his character is, and always has been a monster.
Ya
The greatest Wolfman ever, Benicio was astounding. It was like he was possessed by the most tormented, craziest and angriest demon in hell. His performance was way above even the stunning SFX, he made the difference not the film technology.
Lon Chaney Jr was awesome too despite how old the film was, but Benicio did an amazing job.
@@sirorliktheironclad Lon Chaney Jr was the legendary standard reference, he was amazing, I still remember the old school classic horror movies and he scared the bejesus out of me when I saw his werewolf antics one night by accident as a kid 😂
@@Pulsonar I love Lon Chaney Jr because he started it all and I like his portrayal of Lawrence Talbot’s human side but I like Benicio Del Torro’s werewolf side of Lawrence better. Just my opinion.
Ya
This film is heavily underrated
Heavily underrated🤝
Joe Johnson, director of Captain America: the first avenger, made a masterpiece from the Universal Monsterverse.
Your mom is underrated.
I had never even heard of this movie and I love Benicio. Where can I watch it?
ONE OF THE GREATEST WEREWOLF FILMS EVER MADE!
I don’t understand why so many people don’t like this movie. I love it. Sure it doesn’t hold a candle to the original but it’s good in its own way
Because people wanted a werewolf not the wolfman.
This should've continued. I read somewhere that Anthony Hopkins, when he threw the chair across the room it was unscripted and everyone was in awe of how far it traveled 😅 he really had that strength 💪
That's hilarious 😂 I assumed the chair was fake and that throw was to show Hopkins werewolf strength. Not bad for an elder gent.
He’s quite strong. I read too even as he ages he keeps in shape.
Wooow. Anthony is THE MAN.
I don't understand why this was a flop. I loved this movie and watched it 4 times so far.
I too am baffled. Loved this movie.
To jake pata kro na
me neither
It was a good movie but personally I think it could have done a little better by making the werewolves 100% CGI and looking like the werewolves from Van Helsing or at the very least perhaps having the werewolves sport short muzzles
If these movies succeeded we would have the aka dark multiverse. But because of the superhero movies at that time we got them instead
1940s Wolfman holds up. But this movie feels more personal because of the Talbot family's curse. The retro story was the story of a charming friendly man with a future, who suffered a slow decline because of a tragic encounter. This Lawrence was a tragic existence since childhood. His father encountered supernatural evil and brought it to that house. Killed his wife, killed his son. Finding that little feral boy tore that family apart. And the curse continues.🐺
It would have been better if Sir John became a werewolf because he was cursed by his Gypsy wife.Because she was a Gypsy the townspeople looked down on her and never accepted her as one of them. One day she is in the stable, preparing for an afternoon of horseback riding, when a pair of drunken villagers attempt to rape her.Sir John intervenes and prevents the assault but is mortally wounded. He lingers near death for hours, but just before he dies,in a desperate act of love, she curses him.The hope in her mind is that she will be able to remove it at a later time.
A villain playing the piano could be a cliche but is great ,p having mister Hopkins as a villain playing the piano is perfection
Ya
Clichê? Essa cena do Anthony Hopckins foi a primeira cena de vilão tocando piano que eu vi na vida😂😂😂
This is one of the best wolf man films ever - I love how they balanced the use of real effects and cgi effects; that’s what it makes more magical than just straight CGI. Because if they wanted to - they could have just had the two wolfs animated and go at it like Thanos and Iron man, but they didn’t. They put in effort.
It’s so true-a little practical goes a long way!
5:49 Lawrence Talbot has avenged his beloved mother's murder at the hands of his father, using the curse passed to him.
Don't forget about his brother.
This was the best Wolfman movie ever made.
I don't know why this movie wasn't appreciated more.. I have watched it numerous times and as a werewolf fan I think they done a brilliant job with it ..very underrated ... one of my absolute favourites.. seems Ryan Gosling is meant to be doing a new wolfman movie..we await and see.. just wish there were a lot more werewolf movies getting made .
Terrible acting, cgi, dialogue. Most of the movie was unintentionally a comedy. It’s a pretty stupid movie.
@@Frank-cw2xy not as stupid as you 😹
They don't make a better Werewolf Classic than this one.
I love how one of them kept their shirt on so you could tell who's who once the fur started flying!
It symbolize that Lawrence is still hanging on to his humanity and Sir John is embracing his animalistic nature forever.
@@taajwarpope2708 Wow ok that makes sense.- Thank you for that explanation 😀

His hair is perfect.
Whose hair are you talking about?
@@taajwarpope2708 He's referring to the hairy-handed gent who ran amok inKent, although lately he's been overheard in Mayfair.
Mr Toro the Actor is Excellent. Mr Benicio is deserving of an Academy Award.
Incredibly underrated, it's great .
Loved this movie remake. Had me on the edge of my seat
I loved this film
AWESOME WEREWOLF CLASSIC!
Can't wait to see it Roy.
@@LATVERIAN1 same as what I said to u too haha
Two good actors
Agreed although i wish their werewolf forms were fully cgi and sported short muzzles then it would be even more epic
Enjoyed the heck out of this movie. It had all the right stuff and could have been a modern classic if they just got a better director to film it
Are you kidding? There's a modern classic werewolf film: An American Werewolf in London. Besides, the Wolfman 2010 is told in a different time period where the atmosphere is dark and the tone is just right. Stephen Sommers could have direct this since the werewolf designs were cool in Van Helsing 2004.
@@taajwarpope2708 its not "modern" if its pushing 30-40 years old at this point. Its a classic film.
@@taajwarpope2708Bad Moon 1996 was better
@@randomguy56789 I haven't seen that movie yet. But I will eventually

Please make a sequel to this movie!!
I wish.
HexNa - "Scotland Yards finest -werewolf- detective at your service, Ma'am..." 🧐 Yes, we should've had a sequel.
werewolf the beast among us was supposed to be a sequel before it became its own movie
Joe Johnston promised a sequel when he finished Captain America. The First Avenger. But that was like 12 years ago.
i love the wolfman make sure you got silver bullets for that gun
I watched this movie at the theatre, and totally loved it, IDK why it flopped like that
This movie is very underrated
I agree
And overly hated.
If the rest of the public realized what went into before pre production
Yes, but enjoyable.
"Understatement"
The outstanding performance of the best wolfman ever ,i can watch it over and over
I love this type of film with its music and amazing photography
"The Wolfman" is an enjoyable film that delivers a captivating blend of suspense and personal transformations. The performances and visual effects add value to this cinematic experience.
Legend says that werewolves like this fight each other until one is killed and only one can be alpha wolf
Wasn’t sure if Lawrence was in charge at the climax of the fight in wolf form or the wolf in him saw an opposer an said “You wanna throw down? LETS GO!
The original Lon Chaney jr was the best of all time wolf man
For me, this is the best werewolf movie.

I liked the film because it explored the possibility that werewolf identity grows in the human until it is embraced in both forms.
Thank you, yet again.
Hallo
This movie from start to finish is a phenomenal , I like it so much
A gripping narrative, exceptional performances, and a thought-provoking exploration of the human condition
I was expecting this movie clip to upload on the Universal picture subscription. This fight scene is similar to the Lion King due to Simba's kick technique against Scar. Joe Johnson, director of Jumanji and Jurassic Park 3, made an absolute masterpiece of a monster classic.
i love the brutality in this movie 👌
The outstanding performance of the best wolfman ever ican watch it over and over 😍
This movie was extremely good
This wonderful film moves all your senses while watching it
Man, before being 21 right now? I remember watching this movie when I was 9, wasn't perfect like the American Werewolf in London one I watched on AMC when I was also a kid but I enjoyed it alot lol.

Bad Moon 1996 the best werewolf movie along with Werewolf the Beast Among Us

Id love to be a werewolf, The Van Hellsing kind tho.
