Carl Andreasen is a KZheadr vlogger and documentarian of his own and said that he worked with Ruby Franke and her family a few years ago.
“I think from the first time we met at a convention was probably 2017 or 18, and fast forward to I blocked everyone on that entire friends group and family around 2019 and was divorced by 2021,” said Andreasen.
He described his relationship with the Franke’s as an acquaintance but he knew the greater family who worked together as “a whole unit as Mormon family vloggers."

  • My mother was my abuser, everyone at church thought she was awesome. She would bear her testimony at church, and I would receive comments about how wonderful and what a faithful member she was. She used me as her scapegoat and portrayed me as such a troubled child, I think I was her narcissistic supply. I was treated like crap by everybody in the ward, and I felt like I must be unworthy to be loved by anyone. In the meantime, she was getting kudos from everybody, always a pat on the back and people telling her she’s incredibly strong and doesn’t know how she could survived a child like me. It took years for me to get any vindication and prove who I really was, but by then the damage was done. It sure looks like this type of parenting advice starts at the top. Families are forever my A$$! Btw, i’m no longer a believer… The true love of Christ doesn’t treat people the way these people do… simple!

    • If you remove the mormon church, you've just described my life. That was me and my mother, up to the last detail of her being that great, tragic diva who had to deal with and sacrifice everything for her strange daughter. My whole family knew what she did to me, but chose to look away. Decades later, I revealed the truth and except my sister, they all abandoned me. But the truth is out and it made me stronger.

    • My husband is also narcissistic and emotionally abused me and our children . He walked out two years ago. Even now there are members of the ward who see him as an upstanding man. They didn't see his dark side. It was hard for a long time to go knowing people thought I was the problem. I have to remind myself that I don't go to church for their attention or support. I'm going to have a relationship with Christ. You will find evil and horrible people everywhere. They put one face in public and another around their family. We have lived in the abuse for so long it is hard to feel worthy of anything again. Many have no idea how hard it can be to move forward and build a new life. For my own healing I had to let go and forgive everyone involved. I had to forgive him, his parents, his siblings, my stepson, our employees, members of our ward, and people in our community. I am even working on forgiving myself for being used and abused by someone. I do understand how you have been deeply hurt. My three children are inactive because of all the emotional abuse and neglect at the hand of their father. Many people do a good job of wearing different faces for different people. The truth is they were also manipulated by your mother. For whatever reason it takes a long time for people to see the lies. I for one am glad that God knows the truth about each one of us. I have come to the place where the only opinion I care about is Christ's. It is hard to walk this path when you don't have a support group to rally around you. It is good to know that Christ is standing by my side.

    • If you aren’t the narcissist’s target, you may know them as wonderful, giving, friendly, helpful. My mom is an abusive narcissist. I’ve never been able to buy a Mother’s Day card for her because they all lie and the lies would only feed her delusions of what a wonderful mother she was / is. I buy blank cards and write something funny. I have no idea what I’ll say at her memorial when she passes. I think I’ll let her friends speak. The friends so far into denial they don’t remember having to walk away from the friendship every so often because of how verbally and emotionally abusive she was. The ones who call her crying because they miss her so much since she moved close to me. But they didn’t come to say goodbye because she had been so mean to them in the months leading up to her move. The ones begging her to move back “home.” I sent one friend a message asking if she was going to come get Mom and if so, did she want to arrange the movers or did she want me to. The friend backpedaled pretty quickly at the thought of being responsible for such a wicked woman.

  • Speaking of Boy Scouts, one of Jodi's victims that was the first to come out and talk was under her care because he was one of the boys abused by the Scouts. Man did she ever ruin him and tore his life apart. Adam Steed originally lobbied to get her involved with the Church because he had had a positive experience with her when he was younger; but, it changed much later. It was his records that she shared with the Church (against her professional guidelines, ethics violation) that caused her to lose her licence, at least for a while. The status of her licensure is currently unclear. His story is outrageous as Jodi's niece's story. If you take the time to listen to the long podcasts, everything will become clear, and disturbing, very disturbing. Men are coming out left right and centre telling the world what she is all about and all about her ConneXions program (word salad therapy).

  • ⚠️Children working in television, movies & live theatre are protected by very strict labor laws. There are laws about the money they are paid being put into trusts, how many hours they can work, the nature of the performances they are permitted to do. Yet, there are NO rules that govern or protect children being exploited for social media or “family” channels! We must protect our kids! We need laws that keep them safe and ways to preserve the money these channels make for the childrens education and future! It’s outrageous a child can be subjected to being filmed 24 hours a day, in any number of intimate settings, at their most vulnerable and with no say or ability to decline participation ‼️

    • Sarah Sanders the governor of Arkansas has changed the child labor laws in her state. It allows children, starting at the age of 13 to work in factories, meatpacking plants, etc . with or without their parents permission. Since the migrants that do seasonal work are being blamed for just about everything that goes wrong in this country, they won't be hired for these jobs, the state needs cheap labor, that's where the kids come in. Expect the laws to change in other states in the surrounding area. These are not safe places for kids to work and there's no limit on the hours they can work. I don't think some of these states care about the children.

  • Connexions was never funded by the church. When an LDS church member tells their church leader that they want to seek family or marriage counseling, they can ask for therapist options from LDS family services, or find someone they like on their own - and if money is an issue, the Bishop can approve covering the costs of it. The behavior of Ruby and Jodi is not, in any way, shape or form taught or supported by the church. There are bad apples in every organization. But it was also church members who were reporting Ruby's behavior toward her kids - including her own sisters and daughter. Religion is just one of many powerful tools that can be used to abuse and control in the hands of sick and twisted people. And unfortunately, when religion is involved - these people don't look like they could be harming anyone, because it's easier to be suspicious of someone who lives in a certain kind of neighborhood, or a filthy home, or looks chaotic on the outside.

I’m pretty sure Jodi is just the tip of the iceberg for the LDS church. The LDS church needs to step up and condemn Jodi and those that cause harm others that dare do what she did - not sweep it and stay quiet accountability is everything.

However, Bonnie and Ellie's family are very prominent in this world. Bonnie's responses to her sister Ruby are tone deaf to her nieces and nephews. I find her to be very self-centered. They are addressing their viewers and only talking about their feelings and the relationship they had with their sister Ruby out of respect for the privacy and well being of their nieces and nephews. Both Bonnie and Julie mentioned Shari as she’s an adult and they’ve reconciled with her and have her permission. Plus, the judge has told them not to talk about the minor children. Ruby’s actions hurt all of them. The fact that their nieces and nephews whom they hadn’t been allowed contact with were horribly abused hurts them too. You can be hurt on multiple levels by a situation such as this and only talk about one level of it. I lost my younger sister to mental illness and there are times I talk about how hurt I am by her final act and other times I may talk about the pain she inflicted on her 2 children by her final act. Although, I am free to speak to both my hurt and her children’s hurt because it’s not an ongoing case. I hope I made a little sense of that. I’m just so tired of all the criticism and judgement from complete strangers who don’t have all of the facts but are so quick to speak vile things. If you’ve ever dealt with a family member who is mentally ill, and Ruby has to be, then you know the hoops you jump through or the egg shells you walk on not to exacerbate their illness or cause more family division. Not only do they exploit their children for money all of the things that caused concern for the childrens wellbeing for years about Ruby her sister does as well. Also the sisters had been in contact with Ruby’s oldest child after she got away from her parents so I don’t believe for a second that Sharri didn’t tell her aunts or uncle what was happening behind closed doors in that house, IMO they did the bare minimum and didn’t speak out for those kids because they didn’t want to ruin their image and they didn’t want to be called out for their own ab*sive behavior which is at the very least psychological and emotional. It’s not their crime but they definitely aren’t innocent either.

Jodi's niece Jessi also has an abuse story she had to escape without LDS help. She took was starved and duck taped and filed a police report at age 16. Now the case has been reopened.

So I would not put anything past this family.

I didn't know there was that significant of a connection with the LDS church,Jodi and certain family vloggers/content creators like that...yikes!! What a destructive environment for families and kiddos 😢 That church is an ab*se factory. I've heard that my whole life and now I know it's true. I love how you (and others) are coming forward with the truth like this.

    • Just because you can't handle the truth, doesn't mean the rest of us want to live in ignorance. The issue from the church is coverup. Instead of being forthright and addressing the abuse, they chose to hide it. That makes the church culpable to what happened. If they start calling child protective services, like everyone else is supposed to, then stories like these wouldn't be a "Mormon church" story. Rather it would be just an "abusive parent" story.

    • LDS paid Jodi Hildebrandt for therapies for its members. There is a larger systemic issue here in the LDS church which had a Boy Scout SA scandal with 1/3 abused LDS and Bishops didn't report, but enabled. The whistleblower to that Adam Steed had his adult life destroyed by Jodie Hildebrandt on a referral from the LDS. Rubi Franke is just another layer of fresh hell of LDS scandals.

  • I understand that when Jodi had her licence suspended, the Church quit recommending her. I heard she would use members by pretending she was an upstanding member to keep making money. I have to think that once her methods were known, she was axed. Her behavior and methods are evil. Just plain evil.

    • No, she still worked with the Church after her license was re issued, let’s not forget that she worked with these Bishops for more than two decades. She has the goods on each and every one of them, watch and see, they will protect her. They are doing so already, IMO. A reporter asked a representative why her license hasn’t been revoked since all of this broke. His answer was that no one was in imminent danger, so two young children are rescued from her HOME, both injured physically and mentally, starving and bound isn’t enough information to revoke her license. I guess the Mormon Church really does have their hands throughout all levels of Government in the State of Utah. I hope both of these trials are moved out of this State, if the Prosecutors want an unbiased Jury, they need to have it moved out of Utah.

As more and more individuals come forward, and more information is leaked it couldn’t be more apparent that these women are exactly where they need to be. Disgusting.
