Despite billions in U.S. aid, the war in Ukraine is unlikely to end soon, the top U.S. intelligence official said on Thursday.
Ret. four-star General and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Wesley Clark said that even without assurances of a quick victory, the war in Ukraine is in the best interests of the U.S.

  • Our homeless Veterans and our general homeless population NEEDS help. Stop sending billions and trillions to other countries and start taking care of our own people!!! America first!!! Screw the rest.

    • Ukraine just wants to be left alone, and never posed any similar threat of "first strike attack", or "military invasion" that Mr Putin's Russian Federation has definitely represented, and demonstrated to Ukraine. Ukraine did not "start the war", that was a choice of Mr Putin.

  • So what. Most American citizens DON'T CARE. We have our own issues at home that need fixing first.

    • Do u not understand that if Taiwan falls it makes our issues at home more difficult. I totally am so tired of people not understanding how the world works. It is so easy to find out how the world works and yet, u chose not to figure it out 🤦‍♀️💙🩵.

We vote for politicians with whom we agree with more than we disagree with. Each person has one vote. Think of School House Rock. If u remember it. Of course u could be too young to remember it. In that case u can do a KZhead search for it. The first step in self education is admitting you might not know EVERYTHING. Not everyone understands how government works.

  • Taiwan is a Chinese island not far off their coast. They have no need to "go after" what they already have.

    • Imagine if you saw what they spend on healthcare! Military spending isn't the current problem. If it were our Military's budget, it would be over $2.5 Trillion, but it isn't. (Equaling the military spending of the peak of the cold war to today.) Spending costs burning a hole in our debt is coming from else where. Money spent on Ukraine is mostly spent here in the US, plus it being a war loan, Ukraine has to pay us back with interest. We aren't handing out money like it is candy to nations overseas. It may seem like it but the debt bleeding is done here in the US. Politicians crying about helping Ukraine are traitors to the US working with Ruzzia or the CCP and are intentionally making a racket to HELP Ruzzia and China. Isolationism never was and never will be an acceptable response to tyrannical governments with expansionist intent. You know who said that? Ronald Reagan.

  • General Wesley Cark is one of those military leaders who commands not only troops but respect with his spot-on amylases of anything even hinting of a conflict out there. I am an artist working on illustrations for a children's book and so far from military jargon that my pen only draws peaceful events. Still; what I see going on in the international stage where our leaders do a form of shadow boxing every time they are confronting an adversary, is frightening and counterproductive. What we should be saying to the Chinese is, well, let me show you how I would address myself to the Chinese. "Ladies and Gentlemen and families and children of China, you have one of the world's greatest civilizations and all of us should be grateful for the legacy you continue to offer the world with your delicious and exotic food, your artwork that propels imaginations looking at a single print, your architecture which has no equal, your industrial power and space exploration and even the incredible Chinese language have unparalleled attractions across the world. What we in the west know is that China makes our planet a better world and what we can say is that things remaining as they are is the only way forward. We know this can cause us in the west to be defining another country, like China for example, but we have limits to what must change and we know the great country of China shares our belief in a stable world.
