I love how this actor will forever be referred to as “Trevor.”
He’s literally acting like Trevor as well 😂
His fault for playing the role too well
trevor never goes down that easily

The guy who ran...is the smartest guy in the entire series.
He sticks around through the end. In El Camino, he's the big guy who comes with the prostitutes to Neil's shop as their bodyguard.
He's still running. They say.
See him three time for better call saul. Then also on El Camino.
@@r18love56 caught a glimpse of him running throughout breaking bad too
@@ChezBends nice ;) I was not sure
Funniest thing is that Mike really is carrying a pistol. Mike is always carrying a pistol.
I definitely thought the same thing, Mike is definitely strapped he just ain't stupid enough to let it be known
The thing about a concealed weapon - if you need to pull it out, things have already gone _not_ according to plan. And Mike is one heck of a planner.
Damn, that changes the context of what happened quite a bit. Instead of trying to prove a point, he was trying to scare off the other bodyguards to get their cuts of the protection money.
@@LordBloodraven I'm sure because they were probably going to be trouble anyway and they were better off without them.
@@LordBloodraven actually if you watch the rest of the scene. The job requires subtlety, not something Trevor and his 4 guns and runaway boy could do. If Mike wasn't the only one there, a gun fight would have ensued.
"Beware of an old man in a profession when men die young" meets "Beware of a man who respawn in a hospital"

Finally a trev reference this comment section is too dry
I was disappointed that we didn’t see him with Vaas on-screen at the same time. I would’ve loved to see those 2 psychopaths interact.

I love the look on Mike's face when Trevor calls him Uncle Fester.
Billy Jackoff!! 🤪🤪🤪
To be fair, Mike does look a bit like Uncle fester.
@@shoutinghorse - Oh yes, it was an on point jab. His biggest error was underestimating his opponent.
"You really gonna do this? We ain't even in the car yet, and you're gonna start this?"
This is pure drama gold, it never gets old. I have probably watched this scene 30 times.
Ok, I've only watched it 20 times. Love, love, love Mike. :-)
@@FlatEarthMath I watched it a few times but never counted. I certainly love the moment he hits the guy in the throat, and looks at his guns, while he rolls on the floor. man running is expedient to the plot, he cannot be there when he meets the Mexicans. It would lose something.
"you can make it not so easy" thats gotta be the easiest position to take someone gun off them lmao
@The Anti-Propagandist The problem with guns is they have a certain range of effectiveness. If someone's close enough to put the gun to your face like that, *they* are the ones who've messed up.
@@InfernosReaper If two idiots are in each other's faces and one has pulled a gun all involved have messed up.
This is my favorite Mike scene in both BCS and BB. He completely disabled one dude, and scared another one away without bringing a gun or firing a shot of someone else's. He even had the balls to tell Trevor he didn't need to make it easy for him then proceeded to knock his manhood down a few levels
"tell Trevor he didn't need to make it easy for him " it's quite clever as the 'easy' way is the safest but actually more difficult. Mike said to make it not so easy which actually made it easier to grab the gun.
That guy will forever be known as 'Trevor'. I don't give a shit what the characters name is LOL!!!
@@jenovaprodigal lmfao yeah I love how people casually refer to him as "Trevor"

The whole story around the "pill guy" was just great writing. It showed what MIke did for side jobs and how he met everyone and got the business. The funniest part is the guy gets a Yellow Hummer and gets yelled at for being too obvious he's a drug dealer haha.
Pryce was the anti-Walter White.
@@119Agent They are pretty similar, a couple of idiots who thought they were really smart and made a bunch of dumb decisions that ruined them. The difference is that when Pryce was on the ropes he had enough sense to listen to Saul.

@Amir Khan That you know of. You didn't see his show.
"You can make it not so easy." Love Mike's character. One of the best TV badasses.
I love the fact that Mike is always just so annoyed at almost everyone. He has zero patience for BS.
The only people that escapes this pattern (and not all the time) are his grand-daughter, his daughter-in-law and Nacho Varga. All the rest push his buttons sooner or later hahaha
Mike is used to dealing with jagoffs, that's what made him underestimate Walt. He assumed Walt was purely booksmart, and there was never anything to fear from him. He also wasn't a natural born leader. After Gus died, his focus became entirely how to save his own ass and Hailey's, and again acted like he could just push Walt around with no consequences.
I like how he gets mad when Mike snatches his gun like he didn't ASK for exactly that.
just didn’t like the taking it apart 😂

"He'll be fine" followed by the gulping of air as they're leaving. Hilarious!
"But we need three guys.." Mike: no.. No we don't Also Mike: now that I'm going the job of three guys I get their pay too

Mike was a straight up badass in this series!
I never stopped rooting for Walter, Until he killed Mike, God I hated him after that!
Trevor woke up in an alley & continued like nothing happened.
I just love the way he says “no, no we don’t.” So perfect
He took one look at that 1911 and automatically assumed he had an ankle holster 😂😂
That's probably more that he confirmed to Mike that he had more than 2 guns. There's only so many places to hide a gun on your person, and an ankle holster is an obvious choice
@@domskillet5744 also he's an ex-cop so he knows exactly what he's looking for.
1911 guys in this day and age are usually gun dorks.

@hansblitz7770 1911s are still the shit
Man I only saw Trevor Phillips there, and yes I know he voiced him, but even the physical mannerisms, the way he looked and his microexpressions.
They had the voice actors do the motion capture for the characters in gta so that's why he probably moves the same way
@@ponds34 That makes a lot of sense, thanks.
I just love this entire scene. I bet it was so satisfying to be handed this footage to edit.
Mike is one of the people who you need on your crew. Terrifying to fight against.
Better than that: he knows what to do to avoid fighting, and if it finally happens, he will win.
If only because you don't want him on the other side.
@@justinlast2lastharder749 agree
I watch this scene a few times a month. Great writing and acting! Love the scene.
Something tells me that if Trevor had kept his mouth shut at this point, things would have gone south in a hurry when confronting Natcho.
Seeing Vaas and Trevor at the same time would’ve been awesome.
Weird someone as cautious as Mike wiping his fingerprints from a payphone didn't wipe them off these guns.
Cause he knows when dude can finally get back up, he's gonna collect his own guns
Gotta love how everyone calls Steven Ogg's character Trevor, because thats basically who he is, besides Simon in Walking Dead
mike saying "you want one" to the big guy is like the quiet kid sharing his toys with the shy kid
The lowkey best part of this is when he's still frustrated at the end - "But we need three guys" "No. No we don't. Let's go."
Oh, that look of disdain on Mike's face as they were leaving and Trevor was still gasping for air 😂
no matter how many times i watch this scene i still love it like the first time i saw it.

The only problem is you don't have Jonathan Banks.
There is one. It’s called Beverly Hills Cop
Watch Gremlins to see him as s young cop.
I love this part.
I love the little tilt Mike does with his head when the guy says go ahead and take it from me, I just realized how good of an actor " mike" is!
Wow, the sound design on this. I wondered what the sound sound was at 02:10 and I thought the sound designer had inserted the sound of the guns being throw into the trash can too early but then I realised it was Man Mountain off screen exiting into the stair well, then the door easing closed a moment later. Most productions would have had him exit the scene and not bother with the sound of his off camera actions.
Nice catch!!
Watched this scene maybe 10 times, it is just brilliant )
That is just "special". Great line
It makes sense that he'd have so many guns hidden on him at once.
Not really. If you think you need a ankle holster then you're not a smart gun owner.

Mike threw away like $3,000 of guns. But really, 3 guns with different magazines isn’t good tactics.
That looked like a black desert eagle at the end, it's 2,300 on it's own
Guns are kinda hard to sell if their not yours. Considering that Mr X (Steven) is a criminal he probably wouldn't buy from a gun shop so it's possible he got ones with no numbers. No serial number on a gun makes it a ghost gun only criminals would buy them since mike is new in town he wouldn't know who to sell them to or trust not to eat him out.

Ever since seeing Jonathan Banks for the first time - in Beverly Hills Cop - I thought he's a scary guy. Perfectly cast here as Mike.
48 hours, he plays Nick Nolte's partner who gets blown away.
You must be on the young side. He used to be a C-actor, and would *always* play "the bad guy" on various tv shows in the 1970s.
Mike was also in that comedy classic "Airplane!" Towards the end, he was one of the radar controllers as the flight is coming into Los Angeles.
@@michaelwhalen2442 Yeah, he was a busy guy in earlier years - small parts in big movies and such. Glad to see him do well in his career. Just finished the final season of BCS. I like how he brought his own lunch, you can never be too safe?
Well, it is hard to find a place that puts EXACTLY enough mustard on a sammie. Best not to take chances with lunch.
I have the same rule. Never trust anyone to feed you on a trip or a job. Even if it's a Payday bar, or a bag of pistachios, make sure you can feed yourself something that you like.
That big guy was thinking of eating Mike's lunch, that's why he ran lol
If you are doing a job like this, yeah you can never be too safe. Mike went far in this "world," because he was overly cautious, the way it should be. The only time he underestimated someone, was his end.
Don't worry guys he'll respawn in the nearest hospital
one of the best scenes ever.
this was good. it reminds me of a vid I saw on the warrior poet society channel on here. It was titled "the most dangerous man in the room". He was talking about how it isnt always easy to spot it, and gave the example of how a little non tough looking gray haired man was it. it turned out the non threatening looking man was a high degree black belt in the martial arts and had no need to brag or show off.
He’s moved on from operating that radar in Airplane that’s for sure 😂
I have been hit the throat like that, man I thought I was going to die for a few minutes, took the breath right out of me. Still remember it like it was yesterday.I have never let that happen again, it was one hell of a lesson.
Yeah it can break your trachea. Most folks aim for the face but a throat strike is really much more devastating.
Such an epic scene.
I have it on my PSP. I must have watched it 50 times and it just does not get old.
This never ever gets old lmfao
The best scene and story in the whole series
I love the way Mountain Man's eyes get big and he just turns and runs away.
The last gasp of air for "rambeau", and before they go... "he'll be fine ..!!!" with a bored slightly annoyed Mike.. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Bro really brought his entire GTA loadout
I have never seen someone run so fast and so slow in the same time

It's at this moment Simon knew he fucked up. Hopefully Negan doesn't find out LoL

This scene did so much for pimento cheese that it can't be stated.
He throws the guns away is a pretty underrated moment
I'm still wondering why he didn't wipe his prints. I guess because he knew Trever would retrieve them
Mike is such a nice guy he offered a gun to the other guy😊
To be fair, it is after the meeting with Nacho that Mike really proves his worth.
