  • The funny thing is, I've been doing this now to my Yorkies during quarantine because they can't go to a groomer. Frames their little faces, gets their hair out of their eyes. Brilliant! ♥️♥️♥️

  • I know this is an old video so I doubt you'll see this, but if you do...... Sam Villa, oh my goodness I just absolutely adore you! You are my favourite professional of the entire hair industry, you really are. The skills, the energy, the vibe, you have an uncanny gift for educating as well. Somebody could be the best in the world at whatever it is they do & still no be very good at teaching it to someone else. You are very obviously a natural born teacher, leader if you will. Ugh just ugh......favoritest stylist EVER!!!! 💯🥰🤓

The most important part was when you trimmed the top part and said “don’t be scared” that made my bangs less bulky and gave them movement.

I am not a stylist but I have been doing much of the same to my bangs (worn for 60 years), cutting, round brushing (for 40 yrs) and using a flat iron on top of the round brush for 15 years. I am amazed that it was actually done by you!!! Gonna send to my stylist this fantastic video for her to try on me. Thank you!!!

  • This is exactly how I want my bangs cut except just a bit shorter so it isn’t in my eyes and nobody seems to understand how to do it. They always just blunt cut it straight across and on older people it just looks wrong. I usually cut them myself but without the twist and have to shape it myself, but through trial and error have done exactly what Sam did. I have thin fine hair and few people cut it well.

  • Thank you so much for this. As someone who has had fringe/bangs for most of my life, hairstylists ALWAYS mess it up. I have a wave to my hair and I constantly explain that they can't just grab and chop. And yet, they never listen resulting in completely destroying my hair. I take it upon myself to trim my bangs and I leave the lengths to the professionals. This video helped me immensely!

    • 😃 I've had my bangs for about 2 years now, I have the curtain style fringe, it's longer at my temples.. I like them longer so I can't pull them off my face and pin them back if I wanted to change. I went to a hair dresser for a trim and he cut them straight across, and SHORT. They were so embarrassing, I was 27 years old but the bangs had me look 10. They look 5 months to look normal again, and because of how thick they got getting them back to a curtain again too 6 months. They were too short to pin any kind of attractive way for a full month! This is my incredibly long way off asking, how do you trim a fringe at home? I don't always have time to get to the hair dresser, & I've trimmed mine in the past successfully, but when they start getting too long I could use tips!! I get nervous that they will not blend in with the longer parts on my temples that form the curtain & frame my face. Also pulling the hair forward and knowing where to cut/how they will fall is nerve-wracking. If anyone on here knows of a video on trimming your own fringe please share! 🦋🌷🦋🌻🦋🌷🦋🌻🦋🌷🦋🌻🦋🌷🦋
