I like switching up my bangs. My hair kind of has a way of doing what it wants depending on the weather. I have cow licks at the temples, and I also have a strong growth pattern that makes my hair fall forward on the right side just off my center part. Is there a way to cut so that I can style more center parted one day and side swept the next?

Thank you Summer - appreciate your tips on how to dry and style when you have cowlicks. I’ve got 2, one each side & I never knew how to smooth them out properly. I have fine wavy, medium length with layers & dry with a hot tools oval shaped blow dry brush. You mentioned in the video that there are round blow dry brushes you recommend. I saw the regular blow dryers listed in the description, did you also have blow dry brushes that you recommend?

I get soooo excited when there is a new video from Summer! 💕. Do you ever do men’s hair cuts? I do scissor cuts on my husbands hair… it turns out nice but I’m not sure I’m doing it correctly… and for the life of me, I am so scared to use the trimmers around the ears, so I always scissor cut there too and have nicked him a few times. 😳😂
I do do men's cuts! I think I have one clipper cut video. I love a good men's cut, maybe if I can ever get my husband to model for me I can do a video 🤣

You can tweak them for that, but they might not look as good as it you stuck with a set part.

Okay I'm going to age myself, but when I was in college in...1975!!...my roommate had a beautiful haircut with curtain bangs. Turns out her boyfriend worked at Vidal Sasson. Her hair was gorgeous and I was always so jealous, but I never asked her to ask him to cut my hair lol She turned me on to Fermo Caresse shampoo. Have you ever heard of it? It was pink in a tube and it made my hair luxurious! Too bad they stopped making it. Thank you for another great video! I have side bangs now but have a persistent curl in the front. Is that a cowlick? I should ask my hairdresser. I dry it every which way to get rid of it, it drives me crazy!

Interesting. Do you normally on a side bang only part the front toward the side, and then move more toward a middle part as you move further back on the head, or even disconnect the part as your example? Never thought of that as a way of balancing the two sides...
I'm sorry, I don't quite understand your question? A side bang will be parted on whichever side you or your client wears their hair.

Always been a side swoop girl. I give my hair some height or poof and a s curl or wave on the side and regular face frame on the lighter side. Fun to cut and style and grows out great.

Hi. I prefer side swept bangs. And here's a little interesting story. I went to the Paul Mitchell Hair School and asked the advanced student to give me side swept bangs. She had no clue what I was talking about. And called the instructor over who was about 45 years old. She had no clue either how to cut side swept bangs. And I asked if you could ask some other instructors at the school, and they said they'd never heard of them. I'm like they've been around since the 80s for sure. I had to come home and cut my own bangs. 😌😅

What age group? I find girls in their 20s love a curtain bang and any age range over that typically prefers a side bang.

So here’s what i never understand about hairstylists that show these types😮 off bangs on mannequins. If these were real humans you would have rendered them handicapped bc they would no longer be able to see. Their bangs cover their eyes significantly to the point that the way these bangs are styled has no relevance to actual humans who need to be able to see. Do you have any tutorials that show how to style bangs that won’t cause partial blindness?
A lot of people like their bangs this length. Seeing that it's a mannequin, meaning the hairline isn't exact to a human, is also a reason the hair covers the eyes. The tutorial is meant to show examples and inspiration.
