In 2016 I worked with the father of one of the engineers employed at Blue Origin. He talked frequently back then about how pissed off his kid was at the fact Blue couldn't get ANYTHING done and that it was an absolute mess in-house. True story.

From my personal point of view, it’s disheartening that there is a tendacy to separate people based on their race/ethnicity/sex, as quoted in the video “open the door for other minority women”, leaders should be opening the door for any earthling that is passionate and hard working enough to knock on the door in the first place. It fascinates/scares me that people see race/sex diversity period, I’ve never judged anyone on these factors and it doesn’t make sense to me why what feels like the vast majority of people do… ✌️

Most of the money that has gone into BO has been out of Bezos’ pocket; will remain so until it becomes a revenue/profit-making enterprise. I’m as disappointed as the next space cadet at his slow pace, but if he just had- and kept- more folks like this dedicated young engineer, perhaps they will finally get there. I, personally, don’t believe they will reach their initial goal for first successful orbital launch by Dec 31 of this year; but so long as they are working hard at it and make monthly progress, that’s fine. @@mm-hl7gh That would be a lie. NASA has not "puts billions into BO", nor is there any evidence that "a good part of it goes to him (Bezos). The payout for Blue Moon HLS is based on milestones since it's a fixed price contract same as for SpaceX, and like Elon Musk, Bezos is putting up an matching amount of money as part of the contract.

@@sethjansson5652 Which is a huge step. The same pathfinder will go back and be fitted out for a static fire in the summer, and if that goes well, then the first flight is the next milestone later in the year.
