Thank you for your information…I want to travel there someday
I used the Deutschlandticket in September. It was a really good deal and I never had to get another ticket for public transport.🤗
Do you get it before hand or once you arrive in Germany? I'm planning on relying solely on public transportation
For a travel enthusiast Germany is a must to visit place. We plan to visit Frankfurt in the near future. Would be great if you could make a video on where to visit Frankfurt in a day.
That was VERY helpful & insightful, well done & vielen dank! 🙌🏆
Thanks for your tips! I will try to remember some of them when I travel to Germany.
Very nice presentation covering all the components of travel. Introduction part is excellent. Thanks a lot for the useful video!!!
This was delightful and very accurate ❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
TRULY AN INFORMATIVE VIDEO TO EXPLORE THE GERMANIA LIKE A PRO
This is very helpful travel tips to Germany. Thank you
This video is actually beautiful experience and very nice presentation ❤️ greate
DW Travel made a really helpful video as always making me feel hungry for German food and plan to visit some places after this winter.
Thanks. nice short and sweet presentation by the anchor.
Very nice and useful video. Thanks a lot. 😄
If you speak no German, the three words to learn are "bitte" (please), "danke" (thanks) and "verboten" (forbidden). The first will get a German person to pay attention to you. You will use the second to thank her/him. Knowing the third will keep you out of trouble 😂
😁
For me, another word is Toilette/Toilet. LOL
And "mit karte bitte"
Vielen Dank, Schönen Tag noch 😅
And entshuldigung w/o ist der …….
Great video! The one thing I would add on transportation is that while Germany’s high speed rail network is extensive and theoretically very convenient, in practice it is very unreliable, especially since the pandemic, unfortunately. Hour plus delays are very common, as are cancellations. Having the Deutsche Bahn app is essential, as delays, cancellations, etc., will be difficult to navigate without it.
Amazing!! Going to Germany next march and there is a lot of useful tips here. Danke DW :D
We are glad that our video is helpful for you!
How was your trip? . I’m going in June from California. Going to watch the Euro cup any tips?
That is nice , please give me information how to get family visa from Nigeria
Germany is the most beautiful country, when I looked to map, I always enjoy to be in southern garman as the landscape is more beautiful then north.❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful 🫶🏼
Absolutely beautiful 🌹
Come to Oberstdorf!!!! It is amazing
I live in Baden Württemberg. I travel a lot to authentic towns and also shoot videos. My area is called "Swabia". All regions in Germany are different. For example, if in Bavaria people say “Wunderbar“ (“incredible”), then in Swabia “incredible” will be “nicht schlecht“ (literal translation “not bad”). Understand different 😅That is, if your Swabian neighbor bought a new car, then you say - nicht schlecht. and that's ok 😊😊
Germany is awesome!
Great information Lukas and some amazing places to see in Germany, I am back in Berlin June 2024 for more cycling will be my 5th visit to Berlin, I love it there as its such a good cycling city.
Bitte 😍
❤❤❤
Germans absolutely love the outdoors. I was in death valley in late September and it was still very hot. I asked the park ranger who the heck visits Death Valley in August when it's over 125 degrees? Answer - Germans
😆
I'm coming next summer! Germany's music scene has irreplaceable impact to me, and I'd love to be in a concert in person.
Have fun!
Good! Video should be longer!
I can't wait to visit in 2025!
Is it me, or from Berlin Train station, it's kinda a struggle, to find where it is 'to the airport' sighs..? 😊
7:42 How did the cameraman not see this! Someone should have warned him! :)
😄
Not getting Visa appointments.
Love these short travels vids with alternating hosts..
Traveling Germany - How to make the most of it 1411pm 31.12.23 everyone wants to be German, I know that much. though i wanted to be american.
Lukas so handsome
Hi there, last year when I was visiting Germany, I tried to buy a Deutschland Ticket but I failed, I was told that, to buy a Deutschland Ticket I need to have a German Sparkonto.
Regarding tipping in a restaurant, you just round up to the nearest Euro and if you're very happy, then add another Euro. Maybe 50 cent in a bar. No more!!!
If you are stingy, do as described. However, if you are very satisfied with the service and/or the quality of the food, you tip more and it is up to you how much you tip. However, there is no tipping culture in Germany as there is in the USA, because the people who serve you are paid a reasonable wage.
Duesctland tickets,,9.euro to 49, Euro alles gute ❤️🇩🇪 👍
Since when was there not a speed limit on the autobahn? They must have changed that since last night
No, they haven't 😀. In general there is no speed limit on the Autobahn. But in reality there is one in lots of sections due to damages, construcion works etc.
One of the Comprehensive Coverage by DW ..... Hope it was a little more instead of just 11 mins....
Kaffe und Brot, bitte, danke
Berlin is only the best place to start because afterwards it can only get better.
I was planning on visiting Germany again in 2024 but not if your train drivers will call strikes at short notice again. I lost a day of my short holiday in 2023 because of them and don't want to risk more problems in 2024
It doesn’t happen often
Oh, sorry to hear that!
Actually there are strikes again but you re safe in spring and summer then 😅
@@nikos4433 at this point, we don’t know anymore man
Dw travel NEEDS a guide with disability. I think many would love to see travel guids for disabled people. I greatly enjoy these videos but offer wonder if some areas are accessible.
We are on it! 🙂
@@DWTravel I cannot wait! Super excited now. Great to see from a similar perspective 🥰
@@DWTravel just worth a mention when you do begin wheelchair accessible travel videos. Germany has some of the leading wheelchair innovators and manufacturers I'm the industry!
Great country but too exspensive for long travel :)
So you should never go to switzerland. Germany is very cheap compared to Switzerland
People around me keep telling me Germany is boring so are Germans …I am feeling conflicted as to whether or not I should visit
I am planning trip number 3 in 3 years from Australia. The only thing boring about Germany is your own attitude towards experiences. I have seen and done some of the most incredible things in my life in Germany, and there is something for everyone. For me; art, museums, architecture and music festivals were the initial drawcards. But discovering wild places, great train journeys, and towns off the tourist route were unexpected joys. And the ease of travelling cross country makes it possible to easily visit lots of different places - especially when as an Australian, spending 14 hours driving just between geographically “close” cities of Melbourne to Sydney is my normal! And thanks to Schengen agreement, it’s easy to visit lots of other adjoining countries for weekends without visas (fancy a weekend in Copenhagen, Prague or Wrocław.)
Germany has a VAT tax, so tipping is not required.
Here we would disagree. The tax must be paid by the restaurant owners to the state. The tip, on the other hand, is intended directly by the guest for the staff.
There s not much you can go wrong. There s only bad behaviour or no ticket on the public transport, that may be annoying.
This trip is not our people of 3rd world. This is for rich people. We can see dreams. Sorry
Very Jealous, Rude and Arrogant Country.
I see nothing exciting about Germany.
