People been watching Inside the NBA so much, they forgot how good prime Chuck was
They see the funny man on tv and never realise that he was near unstoppable in his prime, imagine if Barkely was born 20 years later and got the benefit go modern training programs and skill training, omg he would be even greater.
This comment is nothing but the truth.
@@GameChanger-xi4iy nah bro barkely was a beast but he didn't train or practice. When jordan and pippen had their morning regime called the breakfast club Barkley dropped out cuz he got tired of doing it. Barkley was great just off of pure God given talent.
@@GameChanger-xi4iy skill training? Its players now that don't have the skill that prime chuck had and they have all the benefits
@@Each1teach2 this is just false. Barkley has talked about the training him and moses malone set up that led to his breakout as a star
This just might lowkey be the most important one in the GOAT SZN series yet. Chuck was a monster in his heyday.
Barkley 22ppg 12rpg 4apg Shaq 24ppg 11rpg 3apg
Total beast on the boards. Rodman-level rebounding, plus…
I remember this season very well I was in the 8th grade. I've always viewed Shaq as a huge Charles Barkley now let that sink in..... and then let it sink back out. ✌🏽
I actually think he's underrated for his skill set. This guy could post, shoot off the dribble from mid range & 3, and dominate the boards like we've never seen for a guy his size.Truly unique talent/player.I know he never one a ring, but talent wise, I think he's a top 10 player all time.He doesn't have a top 10 resume, but as an individual talent, he's one of the top 10 most talented players to ever lace them up imo.
Charlse Barkley in prime put up better numbers than KG, Tim Duncan, and Dirk all! That alone says something.
He’s literally the worst volume 3point shooter in history.
@@kidzesty6303 Maybe so, but he still had it in his bag. There was games where he'd get hot from 3.Players didn't really take the 3pt shot serious back then. It's basically just as fundamental as a lay up in the modern game.Future basketball players slide out the womb inclined to practicing their 3pt shot now.Maybe if Charles played in today's game, he'd spend more time in the gym trying to perfect it more.He had it in his arsenal.Which was rare for power forwards during that time.
He’s like a fire prospect with badges and shit
Going off stats and not rings, he's a top ten player. Because Rob Horry almost has as many rings as I have fingers and he couldn't carry a water bottle for Charles. Remember that he played in the era of the big man and he was a severely undersized POWER forward during THAT era and his stats are WAY more impressive than people give him credit for. I used to argue that if Chuck and not Karl had played with Stockton - they would have won a chip together.
Forget him being a beast in his prime. He was an MVP during Jordan's prime would be a better title! LOL
Should have had 2.In 1990 he got robbed of Mvp and Magic got it as a popularity contest. He was a face of league and played in sexy Market Lakers.1990 Barkley was robbed of MVP
Not to mention he was mvp on the dream team over Jordan. Probably the only time that ever happened to Michael
@@erikpuka2627 Preach! Had all the number 1 picks, but not the other ones. He was ROBBED!!!
@Zach Altif But, Barkley had a better year (Season) than Jordan, at the time.
@@erikpuka2627 yep true Barkley had More Votes than Magic and better scoring and rebound then Magic. He was robbed in 89-90 Season.
He's been an analyst for so long, people forget how good he was. Charles has no ego in his hoopin days
Fr sometimes i forget he even won an mvp
I think he totally did but he's always such a real guy
WHAT!...Barkley had a huge echo back then. One of the biggest.
No ego lmaooooo yo you youngins kill me 😂😂😂😂😂 Charles Barkley was one of the fiercest competitors in the nba in his prime. He intimidated opponents and always talked shit. Came in to Phoenix when KJ was the man and said “it’s my team”
Stupid as f Chucks ego was bigger Back when he was hooping ! he was a bully ! Didn't give af then or now lmao
This is a good one. Let these youngsters know how beast Chuck was during his prime.
Winning a mvp during MJ's reign was no joke!!!

Remembered folks, Barkley did this at 6'6 240lbs playing the PF position.
by many accounts, it was either 6'6'' or 6'4'', which makes it so much more impressive having someone his size posting up other bigs listed at 6'8'' and up
@@reaIGarfield 6"5.
252 pounds
Chuck said he was 6’4”, 6’6” was his billed height, but that wasn’t accurate.
Closer to 6'4 which is even more impressive with everything he was able to accomplish
He's in the hall for a reason. Dude was a beast
His instant hops on his own missed shots, his passing, and the use of his left hand are just some of the qualities that are underrated for Barkley.
When Chuck was in close to the basket & trying to put the ball in the hoop & maybe missing 4times , but woodnt give up on it, & wood usually get it in , he STILL had a better FG% that Karl M.
The fact that he was an absolutely DOMINANT power forward (he was a "little" Shaq) at 6 foot 6 during the ERA of the big man and still averaged 12 rebounds for his career and 22 points - even though he didn't crack a 20 point avg in the last 4 seasons of his career is incredible and he NEVER had a season where he did NOT avg at least ten rebounds a game. He won an MVP award during Jordan's prime and averaged a double double for his career and is possibly the greatest player in the HOF to never win a chip. SIR Charles is a LEGEND.
karl malone
Barkley had one of the greatest 2 years that any player in history had. Prior to this 92-93 season, he played in Barcelona in the olympics on the Dream Team. The coach of that Dream Team, Chuck Daley, said that Barkley was the best player on the team. A team that had 11 Hall of Famers, including Michael Jordan!! Barkley led the team of Hall of Famers in both scoring and rebounding, on their way to winning gold! Then he plays his first season in Phoenix and finishes with the best record in the NBA, and winning league MVP. Taking the Suns to the finals after having two of the greatest games ever played by a player in the western conference finals against the Seattle Super Sonics..in game 5 he had a huge triple double, scoring 43 pts, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing 11 assists..then in game 7, to get to the finals, he scored 45 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and 6 assists! If not for a John Paxson 3 with 5 seconds left in game 6 of the finals, they would have been the only team to take the Bulls to seven games in a finals series. Later, coach Phil Jackson said that of all the opponents the Bulls faced, the Suns scared him the most because Charles Barkley was just that damned great. He was relieved to not have to play a game 7 in Phoenix.
I think ppl forget how good he was bc his post-NBA career has been just as great
Today’s kids need to watch this and appreciate what a beast Chuck was. He outmuscled David Robinson and Dennis Rodman in the paint. Both of these guys are DPOYs that are taller and more athletic than Chuck, but Chuck still bullied them inside. You don’t see players like this in the NBA anymore.
Crazy that he’s able to elevate and block Robinson who’s a half-foot taller than him. Robinson is another guy people need to watch film of, I had never even heard of the guy until I started paying more attention to basketball history
Zion ?
@@DDE.RIICHYSAVAGEwhat about him?
@@DDE.RIICHYSAVAGE never plays lmao chuck played more games in his first 4 seasons than zion ever will at this pace
92-93 Sir Charles was simply amazing. I know Michael is the GOAT... But Charles earned the MVP, that year.
It never went well for him in Philadelphia. That is why he demanded a trade to Phoenix.
My fav player of all time. Never will be a player at his size so dominant. Just a Beast! 💪🏽
Charles Barkley Greatest Highlights kzhead.info/sun/eJikib6vpZisdXA/bejne.html
Imagine if he was atleast 6'7" or 6'8"..dude did these in one of the most physical generations of the NBA. Man played bigger than his actual height!
Basically would’ve been Zion with a jumper
@@Spudiverson facts
This is the real Sir Charles before injuries and gaining of weight. My favorite player of all time. I will always remember him till the day i die. Thanks to him i could handle the internal suffering in my teen days. Thanks Chuck!
Sir Charles certainly had his beast moments with the Sun's, but his days with the 6er's , were his BEAST-MODE days! In these highlights , he looks so smooth , as if he isn't even trying , He makes it look sooooo easy! He was/is still my favorite player to watch play in NBA history! He can get up so high from a standing or 1-hop jump , that he shocks the big players, like Robinson & Hakeem ! I just can't get enuff! Ty 4 the memories Charles!
I agree - he was starting to fade athletically in this season. With the Sixers, Barkley was still in his prime. Unfortunately the prize idiot Harold Katz decided he was too cheap to keep Moses, too cheap to provide good medical care for Toney, etc. etc. so Philadelphia's squad quality just melted away around Barkley.
@@ryandick9649 Ya Bro , & after Doc & most of the others left , EVERYTHING was about the round mound of rebound & rightly so! Chuck in his prime was....Man , he could just do ANY dam thing he wanted to!! I love what he said about Mo Cheeks, when they were all still there.....He said " & Mo Cheeks was blind in one eye' , ( i was shocked thinking , man i didn't know that) , & he continued , " Ya . ' he could only see outta the eye that Doc was in " Like, He wouldn't pass it to him , ROFL! 🤣
Chuck is so underated;he was the perfect PF....He could shoot from mid-range off the dribble, rebound, finesse post-game, playmaker, and he could lead the fast-break
He earned 93 MVP my favorite power forward ever. He’s the reason I started watching basketball
44pts and 24rbs, game 7 to go to the NBA Finals. Enough said. MVP and GOAT SZN solidified.
His post play was unbelievable. He has every move.
Chuck is someone i wish i got to see play
He was league MVP this year and rightfully so. Dude was supremely undersized as a 4 but found a way to lead his team to a chip (unfortunately fell to the bulls)
he is literally 6'4
@@Zo_1987 6"5.
@@Zo_1987 undersized as a 4 A FOUR.. A four is a power forward bruh. The average height for a power forward is in the 6-10 and up range.. He was undersized ngl..
@@kinga9301 lies
@Zach Altif he wasn’t undersized
Damn never knew that Chuck can pass the ball like this. An underrated playmaker.
As a Spurs fan, I really feel for David Robinson, constantly being sent to guard Barkley and being powerless to stop him (though I suppose that these are just the Barkley highlights). Chuck hitting the long shot over Robinson in the playoffs is my most painful 90s NBA memory.
There were no front court players that could contain this guy; his skillset, power, and athleticism were too much for defenses. He may be the most skilled power forward of all time
Barkleys suns won 62 games in a way tougher conference (don't believe me? Look at the teams in the west back then) and kevin Johnson played under 50 games. He absolutely deserved to be mvp. I understand why that would motivate Mike, but charles earned that trophy
There will never and I mean NEVER be another like him. One of a kind player. The kids only know him as the loud and funny dude on TV but he was a complete monster as a player. In my opinion, he's the best player I've ever seen at his position. Glad I got to see him first hand for 8 years in Philly.
I’ve been waiting for this my favorite pf of all time.🐐
Same
My fav player to watch...of all time.
Chuck’s passing, ball handling, and pass interception abilities are guard-like, but his rebounding, rim-protection, and incredible post-up game make him a PF/C, but he’s 6’5”-6’6” which is SG/SF height range. Based on what I’ve seen, if this man were to have played with an all-star guard (or just a better team) during his prime, he’d have multiple titles and be regularly in the top 10.
His jumper was so smooth man...like butter...he was like lebron but smaller and a hint less athletic...he should definitely have a coast to coast badge and he got a heck of alot of steals...and his left hand and mid Range is elite elite elite great footwork...
Thank you so much for this! I was hoping you’d do one for the great Sir Charles.
Bro I really love when you do these 🐐 SZN’s the raw footage highlights really give you and idea of how good these players You didn’t get the chance to grow up watching really were
There would never be another 6-4 or 6-5 power forward who will dominate down low as Barkely did.
I wish John Stockton could've been on this Phoenix team with Barkley. Would've been such a nice combo.
Man what a monster upload 🙌🏽 need more 92-93 highlights 🏀
I remember around this time he even had his own video game called "Barkley Shut Up And Jam" lol. (Shout out to 90s kids)
Lol 😂😂 I had that game 2 on 2 ball
This is why some folks like myself consider Charles the best power forward in the nba history. I don't care about the rings , I am talking about skills
Knew chuck was good but didn't know he was a legend like this damn near unstoppable much more respect for bark
He was ridiculous. Dropped 44 and 24 rebounds in a wcf game 7.
This is refreshing. After watching all the MJs Kobe’s KDs Lebron’s and Stephs videos I can confidently say Sir Charles is a unique breed of player. Imagine Zion doing these in a few yrs time.

The only time I wished a super tream was formed in the 90's would have been Chuck to Chicago. He was a baaaaaad man! So underrated when it comes to the greatest PF in NBA history, he's definitely top-3 in that conversation.
I hope the kids understand the players he’s going against in these highlights. Dope drop with this one.
You came here cause of the pic bron posted didn't you 😂😂😂
He was so fun to watch.
In love with the rare footage
Dude was 6’4 playing the pf position
Love Sir Charles, stay real, say what you want. Love your game.
Kills me when people say Duncan and especially Malone were better when Barkley was always considered better than Malone when they played in their primes in the 80s and early 90s
Well duncan is better career wise but skill wise it's obviously Barkley.
@@jareddrewdina2756 Barkley was way better than Duncan

@@jareddrewdina2756 Duncan was in the right place at the right time to win those chips. He played in a really weak era. Barkley was so far superior to Duncan it's not even funny
@@christiansoldier77 are u sure he played in a weak era? He played against the lakers with shaq and kobe the pistons with big ben a 4 time dpoy played against the heat.
76ers missed a opportunity to create a championship roster in the 80’s around Sir Charles who was arguably in his prime the best PF of his era ( either him or Karl ), they missed it again in the 00’s with Iverson who was in some years the best SG of the league ( him and Kobe), that’s TWO players who were top 1 or 2 at their position and they doing it again with Embiid who’s also a top 1 or 2 big man with Joker being his competition. Is absolutely ridiculous honestly
People don’t realize how good he was
His game was different man
Barkley my favorite player of all time and his 1992-1993 Suns team is my favorite team of all time..,
It's awful they never won a home game in the NBA Finals.
thanx for the rare and unseen before moments. I wish you could make Ginobili in his prime.
The 11 seasons he was over 20ppg he averaged 55% fg 24ppg, 12 reb 4 asst...... His final 3 minus his injury year that he retired he was 16ppg 12 reb 4 asst 48% His field goal attempts went down, he played with Hakeem, and he had to change his game to give Hakeem space. He averaged 4 offensive rebounds per game at 6`4 His playoff #s were 24 13 reb 4 assist..... He did not choke in the big moments like many players have
Standing 6’5” but with the trunk of an oak tree at 250 lbs. Barkley was an absolute beast.
Being born in 85 the NBA was so much fun to watch with guys like Charles, Ewing, Robinson, Stockton, Hakeem, Malone, drexler, mutumbo, mourning, penny, shaq, hard away, pippen, Jordan, miller, Kemp, Payton than you had a bunch of great role players
Sir Charles 💯
One of the legends in the 1984 NBA Draft. He would have a tremendous career. He would go on to win the 1993 NBA MVP.
Truly an incredible player.
Thanks for this!!! If you can do 87-88 Barkley.
Hell yes!
Nothing better than mid range game imo. That thing is so sweet
Remember kids, On Chuck was the best scorer on a team that had MJ, Pip, Bird & Magic among other HOF'ers...
Everybody in Phoenix at the time was a Charles Barkley fan. He owned that city.
Epic basketball junkies you tube channel !!! Barkley was sick as heck!!! Might be the most important video you made.
In my mind, Charles Barkley's are : high power, full aggresive, and coast-to-coast player. A player with unique skillsets.

Chuck said he was definitely a better player in Philly, 1990 was his peak (especially taking into account the playoffs).
Man the guts going for a block against Robinson and actually getting it against a 7 footer. He was a beast at his prime - rebounding, assisting, scoring. Charles was my favorite player growing up and for a few years in early 90s he was looking like the next GOAT after Jordan. He was also the best player stats wise in the Dream Team. Too bad he didn't get his ring
Sir Charles really a beast!!! Also a nice jumpshot! Pl make for Karl Malone 1997 and Dominique Wilkins
David Robinson 94/95 pls
Super underrated top 20 all time
This Charles asking Fat Charles “We live HERE now” in that betting commercial brought me back here. Man he was so good.
Im so happy to see him school shaq in these highlights ✊🏾💀💯
if you see 1999 game 3 Lakers vs Rockets, old fat injured out of prime Chuck is schooling Shaq defensively and offensively to the point that Shaq gets really frustrated! there are a couple of sequenses that Shaq CANT back down Chuck in the low post(????) , misteps , throws the ball around or blackmails very awkward shots while Chuck does whatever he wants in Lakers paint..30 plus pnts and 20 plus minus boards.. i think Shaq's beef and rings argument comes from his bad game experiences against Chuck! Shaq knows first hand that Charles was an enforcer with an attitude in the paint plus the guard and small forward skills! kzhead.info/sun/pcWindCasKWqkp8/bejne.html
88-93 Barkley was top 3 in the world
That's debatable.
One of old school giants :) It was much harder to suceed back then vs tougher defense.
Dude got into the best shape of his life in Phoenix, no surprise it’s where he also played his best basketball. Getting Barkley down to 250 was a god send for the Suns.
