  • I actually think he's underrated for his skill set. This guy could post, shoot off the dribble from mid range & 3, and dominate the boards like we've never seen for a guy his size.Truly unique talent/player.I know he never one a ring, but talent wise, I think he's a top 10 player all time.He doesn't have a top 10 resume, but as an individual talent, he's one of the top 10 most talented players to ever lace them up imo.

    • Going off stats and not rings, he's a top ten player. Because Rob Horry almost has as many rings as I have fingers and he couldn't carry a water bottle for Charles. Remember that he played in the era of the big man and he was a severely undersized POWER forward during THAT era and his stats are WAY more impressive than people give him credit for. I used to argue that if Chuck and not Karl had played with Stockton - they would have won a chip together.

He won an MVP award during Jordan's prime and averaged a double double for his career and is possibly the greatest player in the HOF to never win a chip. SIR Charles is a LEGEND.

  • Barkley had one of the greatest 2 years that any player in history had. Prior to this 92-93 season, he played in Barcelona in the olympics on the Dream Team. The coach of that Dream Team, Chuck Daley, said that Barkley was the best player on the team. A team that had 11 Hall of Famers, including Michael Jordan!! Barkley led the team of Hall of Famers in both scoring and rebounding, on their way to winning gold! Then he plays his first season in Phoenix and finishes with the best record in the NBA, and winning league MVP. Taking the Suns to the finals after having two of the greatest games ever played by a player in the western conference finals against the Seattle Super Sonics..in game 5 he had a huge triple double, scoring 43 pts, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing 11 assists..then in game 7, to get to the finals, he scored 45 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and 6 assists! If not for a John Paxson 3 with 5 seconds left in game 6 of the finals, they would have been the only team to take the Bulls to seven games in a finals series. Later, coach Phil Jackson said that of all the opponents the Bulls faced, the Suns scared him the most because Charles Barkley was just that damned great. He was relieved to not have to play a game 7 in Phoenix.

  • 76ers missed a opportunity to create a championship roster in the 80’s around Sir Charles who was arguably in his prime the best PF of his era ( either him or Karl ), they missed it again in the 00’s with Iverson who was in some years the best SG of the league ( him and Kobe), that’s TWO players who were top 1 or 2 at their position and they doing it again with Embiid who’s also a top 1 or 2 big man with Joker being his competition. Is absolutely ridiculous honestly

His final 3 minus his injury year that he retired he was 16ppg 12 reb 4 asst 48% His field goal attempts went down, he played with Hakeem, and he had to change his game to give Hakeem space. He averaged 4 offensive rebounds per game at 6`4 His playoff #s were 24 13 reb 4 assist..... He did not choke in the big moments like many players have

    • if you see 1999 game 3 Lakers vs Rockets, old fat injured out of prime Chuck is schooling Shaq defensively and offensively to the point that Shaq gets really frustrated! there are a couple of sequenses that Shaq CANT back down Chuck in the low post(????) , misteps , throws the ball around or blackmails very awkward shots while Chuck does whatever he wants in Lakers paint..30 plus pnts and 20 plus minus boards.. i think Shaq's beef and rings argument comes from his bad game experiences against Chuck! Shaq knows first hand that Charles was an enforcer with an attitude in the paint plus the guard and small forward skills! kzhead.info/sun/pcWindCasKWqkp8/bejne.html
