That was a very informative video, Jeff! I have often wondered if you could sharpen nail clippers. Many times I just buy a new pair if they get dull just because they are so cheap. I will definitely try this though. I do enjoy sharpening. I always sharpen knives though but this will definitely be a good experience too.

Thank you so much! I actually found this video VERY exciting! 🤣 I have several pairs of nail clipper pliers (I think that’s what they’re called) including some German-made steel ones that cost me over $40. Without fail, something ALWAYS happens that jacks up my clippers (Eg: drops on floor, used on something other than nails, finding them in kid’s room, etc) and I’m sick of buying them. Was searching for a way to sharpen the clippers when I came across your video. Since sharpening is your specialty, I think a video on a sharpening technique to correct tweezers would be super helpful (as this is an ongoing issue for anyone that uses them) along with one on how to specifically sharpen the plier design clippers. Thanks again!

Try to get a pair without the nail cleaner - In my experience they cut allot cleaner than those with the nail cleaner. I think they weaken the joint as the nail cleaner have to turn out and therefore the rivet have to be slightly loose, This will make the clipper not close as precise as those just riveted tightly.

Do you recommend a scandi grind on my nail clippers?
HEY JEFF! YOU'RE ON TV! I saw you on a commercial for the Science Channel's "Outrageous Acts of Science". Its a clip from your "Surrstroming Video". The commercial is airing as we speak on the Science Channel! Check it out! By the way the episode is on disgusting food, no wonder your clip is on there!
Doesn't seem to work on my nail clippers. They were already pretty dull but after I did that it got worse.
Thank you.
I have about 13 nail clippers. all kinds of shapes. old and new. I even have one from GEM that looks like it's from the 50's or 60's. I'm tired of looking for new ones that dull easy.I wanna sharpen and use the ones I got.
thank you so much i want to make a new knife from them
Beautiful hands
Are you done with pipe smoking and cigars? used to really love those videos. Those tobbaco reviews
Jeff's latest cigar review was 4 days ago dude.
I’m watching this because I been throwing these nail clippers to water bottle and the water come out it’s so much fun but need to be sharpen
Thanks
thank you .
This video is great, especially if you ever bought a dull pair...lol it is not like you can try them out in the store...that would be gross if you could!
I use a cheap nail buffer and buff the clippers.
i learned something :)
Good job, you’re not useless 😂
4:30 you said harvesting but I think you meant harboring. Not a huge deal, but I felt the need to correct you lol
I am definitely going to try this ..... I'm lying. I most definitely won't
