Real Men Real Style really informative video , I’m a personal trainer a d I always cut them too short and file them wrong , cheers mate
Real Men Real Style. Thanks for the video, really informative and helpful. Plus no one else does this one.
Scissors is the best tool I guess but it's a great video to aware people that how to protect yourself from germs and infection. Thank u Antoinio.
I use the nail scissors. It took me a while to be able to cut with each hand though. Not used to using scissors with my other hand. When I'm cutting my left hand (holding scissors in the right) I tend to cut in bits or chunks. But when I do the opposite hand, I can do the whole nail in one curve without stopping.
I use the clip (the first one). It's better than scissors in terms of cutting your fingernails on your right hand (or if you're left-handed, your left hand).

People are making jokes in comment but honestly so many people don't cut their nails right which can lead to ingrown nails which are absolutely dreadful
Exactly!
I had an ingrown nail last week which is why I'm watching this.
i am suffering from an ingrown toenail rn, its painful af, also is making my day slower and insufferable(thanks to my homeopathy doctor, its getting better and will be gone forever in some months)
I had part of my two big toenails removed because my ingrown nails got real bad.
@Nayblox Kind of. Usually it's because people cut their nails and take too much off the sides so the nail starts growing up AND to the sides and eventually is biting into the skin on the side of the nail. It's quite annoying and painful, but when it's infected it's really bad. When my big toe nails were both infected, I slept with my feet out from under the covers for a year because the weight of the sheets on my bed hurt when they rested on them.
People on a budget use teeth
Can i get an amen!!!
Lmao
Yeh me
I have cut my nails with my teeth before, I was desperate and bit them all down to a relatively similar length then filed the edges, it was honestly easier than trying to use regular nail clippers that seem to just snap my nails in half (I only use toenail clippers on my fingernails now because they're so thick)
Yall lucky my teeth cant reach there.

As a person who had an ingrown toenail I have to point out that you can't use the same tehnique on hands and feet. Toenails should be longer and cut straight, leaving the edges, also cut less frequently than fingernails (because they grow slower). I really dislike seeing people with ugly looking nails and girls notice it even more. That is why this video is so important. Keep up the good work Antonio!
Appreciate your input Blaz. Thanks!
Real Men Real Style no problem :) The whole community makes this channel as great as it is, with sharing info that helps others
This is true. I remember a long time ago I was at a party with a lady. Before we sealed the deal, she actually asked me to show her my nails. Apparently how I previously trimmed them was a huge turnoff to her. Women notice men. Women notice. The details matter.
True, i used to bite my nails, they weren't that short but neither long, one day after biting them they looked disastrous, and someone noticed and told me "At least I have better nails than you!" From that day I have let my nails grow and they are quite long lol. Women are too picky.

I really feel a classical smooth James bond feel when I watch these videos now! The quality is superb. This really makes you stand out from the other people. I really love how subtle the humor is in this video (Glowing red scene) no need to force the humor. Love it man props to you! ALSO keeping it SHORT and SIMPLE wins the race. Much love.

Great to see you've finally covered this topic - I had actually been searching for this kind of info years ago when I first came across your channel and was disappointed that the video you had up about nail-care tools didn't actually include any of the actual "hows".

Been using lever clippers for many years without any issues. They are easier to use if you don't have good control with your non-primary hand. Some women don't have nails as I do, heh.
So don't use a chainsaw. Got it.
There you go...
JLConawayII I prefer a deathwheel anyway.
😂
JLConawayII I might know a guy in Texas who actually does use a chainsaw to cut nails, among other things....
I suggest using a grinder. It is a bit faster :)
Never realize cutting your nails could be so professionals
holy cow, I actually been clipping my nails correctly all these years. Also if I might add, make a habit to clip your nails every friday. That way if you happen to forgot or clipped your nails too short, you'll have 2 days to fix or let it mend so that you'll start your day in monday with a great looking and not hurting fingernails. Believe me you don't want to work with a lot of papers if you've clipped your nails too short.
I followed these informative instructions perfectly and let's just say I...NAILED IT!!! There's two types of people in this world, hammers and people who don't know how to properly cut their nails. That's why this video is so helpful! Two thumbs up...with immaculately cut cuticles.
What are hammers?
Captain, this reminded me of the platoon NCO at ROTC that was a former Marine teaching us how to shave, trim our nails, blouse our shirts and have a gig line, good for you for once again providing guidance to the men out there that haven't had someone to teach them the basics. Semper Fi Marine! P.S. I'm still waiting to see you do a video at the Marine Museum. I was assigned to FT Belvoir when it opened and one of my favorite places.
That’s a great idea - I need to get over there! Right now having coffee near MCRD San Diego! Semper Fi!
My Nephew went thru there a few years back, if you ever get up to Monterey, let me know and I'll take you out to lunch.
I’ve been using the same “compound lever clippers” for like 20 years. I also didn’t get them at the dollar store though. 🤪
I’m right handed, what fingernail should I cut first? I need a order please. Thanks
Awesome video. Yeah I think I been cutting my fingernails way too short as of lately and I feel like it's why I been getting irritated in my nails. Considering I work with my hands 40+ hours a week it only makes sense. Thank you!

I use nail cutter most offently in the similar way u have already used .I never share my nail tool kit to another person as a precautionary healthy measures .Thanks for giving us an insight of exact and healthy nail cutting technique.
Great video! Just bought a nail tool kit and used your method and man what a difference!
This Guy has a guide on mostly everything, & I love it 🔥🧡
I wouldn't recommend antibacterial soap, you'll be fine with regular soap. Building resistances is not fun.
Sir, I use one “BELL” company nail cutter made in Korea. It is working extremely well even after long use. But, the bad thing is I struggle a bit while using the bigger one for small fingers like the pinky at times causing bleeding where nails are curved by age. And, of course, I am habituated to nail baiting since childhood. Your video is extremely well and helpful. Thank you.

I like this video. A lot of times when I clip my nails, it feels like I cut them too short, and at times there’s a little bleeding in the small areas where the cuticle meets the nail. This really helps me!
It’s about time someone talks about nail cutting !! For men !! Thank you 🙏🏼 good job 👍🏼

Basic topic, great info !! Thanks Antonio!
I was biting my nails my whole life. Recently at age 33, I noticed pain in the upper part of my middle finger when I touched something. I should've went to my family doctor but was icing it and hoping it would get better. I didn't think it was an infection. But next day I noticed the pain got extremely intense and unbearable. The following day, the pain was more tolerable but the entire upper front was a bit swollen. Finally after few more days, I went to have it checked out by my family doctor who referred me to the ER. Let me tell you, it was the most painful experience of my life even though the whole procedure was about 30 seconds. The first 10 seconds is the needle to very bottom (front) part of your finger, which gets more painful towards the end. You get to rest for 10 minutes, before the next 20 seconds of "finger surgery" which was excruciating to say the least. I definitely won't be biting my nails again. The infection is called "finger paronychia".
I just use regular nail Clippers. Thanks Antonio. I like your videos. I will have to try scissors. I have toe nail Clippers too both are good
Thank you, Antonio! Could you please do a follow-up on cuticle care? Overgrown cuticles have always a been a problem. thanks again.
In the queue!
I'm a woman and I love this guy's practical tips. Straight and to the point.
Use the pythagorean theorem a2+b2=c2, then you should be able to identify the correct angle at which your nail should be cut.
Yes! The pythagorean theorem is definitely a great way to figure this out! Lol
Wow! Sensational. Questions: 1) How important is it to clean up our cuticles and how might we do that? 2) Can we do all of this ourselves (professionally) without going to a mani or pedi expert?
1. Very important you can clean thrm up by trimming them and using cuticle oil keep in mind not to trim it all so that you don't get an infection 2. You can do it yourself!
Another great video! Man, I need to check out the Nail Pliers and Scissors!
There’s a clipper that’s different to the straight clipper. It’s like for corners or something. A bit like the scissors but a clipper version. I call it the angle toe clipper because I don’t know the name of it but it is very useful.
Question: Softening the nails by soaking them might increase your chances of tearing instead of cutting, but isn't this assuming someone has gone out and purchased every specialty tool you've introduced? If people are using a generic, and dull pair of dollar store clippers wouldn't you want your nails soft to avoid crushing the nails?
Even with that, I think it's more likely to tear than cut
If you had a blunt knife and had to cut dry or wet fabric, I would rather cut the dry fabric.
I've actually tried cutting my toenails with a dremel, definitely better in theory than practice. Especially if you are nervy or ticklish.
I've never cut it with a dremel but I've used it to grind and round them over. It's great for the job.
@@crazykiko96 I've since changed tactics and switched to the little sanding drums from the cutter. Works a treat.
I've been licensed as manicurist since 02, the whole time i only does my client nails and never pay attention to my own nails. this link are very useful, i just learned how to trim my own nails after watching this ;-)

Great video! I find that when I cut my nails right after a shower, I have a better cut. They are clean and just the right softness.
I’ve used the same compound nail clippers since I was a Freshman in HS, I must have a good pair. I trim my nails once a week after I jump out of the shower I have perfect nails/cuticles. Hand hygiene is a must when making a first impression!
I used to do all of this and then I became lazy! Thanks Antonio for reminding me of the benefits of doing everything perfectly!
You are welcome!
I really needed this about a decade ago lol
Thank you. I've been cutting them incorrectly for a long time. Have gone to the doctor 3 times this past year for infected fingers!

I used to bite my nails for over 10 years and I stopped biting them a month ago. They getting a bit too big and I keep getting mini cuts on myself
@Green David yeah it was extremely hard. What I did is I just painted me nail with an obvious nail polish colour.
Awesome advice and awesome video production value!
Funny, my parents are from Europe. My mom cut my nails with scissors when I was a little kid, so that's all I've ever really used. A couple of times when I was traveling or didn't have scissors, I bought a nail clipper, but it didn't seem nearly as good as the scissors--so I always went back. I just cut in a curve, going around the whole edge of the nail. Since I've always used scissors on my nails, I have no trouble using them on either hand.
It's a very informative video. The tools used are amazing. The quality of video is good. It has got a good no. Of reviews. Enjoyed it.
I can’t believe that I have been cutting my nails wrong my whole life. This should be thought in healthy classes in elementary school

Should not wash hands with antibacterial soap. Just soap is good.
David Blane “just soap is good”
I prefer pure ethanol.
For people who don't know. Antibacterial kills 99.9% of germs, whether they are good or bad. Using antibacterial soap for a lifetime may allow you to get infected with a superbug that is resistant to normal anti-biotics. What about regular soap? It kills over 90% of germs. They leave good germs alone, according to CDC.
@@fhm4 Fuck that, I dont give a damn! Anti bacterial soap smells good and feels cleaner.

Do you think that suits can only be used by business man or people with good career/school/education/degree or everybody that has a regular job can wear nice clothes, like people that work on retail jobs, factories, construction workers, people that work on stores like Walmart, JCPenney, etc. *What's you opinion?*
Wear the right attire for the right occasion. Follow the dress code.
Real Men Real Style I understand that, what I meant is outside the job, for example when you go out to places like clubs, parties, etc.
El Muchacho Serio Are people wearing suits at clubs and the parties you go to?
The Remnant 1611 Some people do, and I want to stand out from the rest of the people.
El Muchacho Serio Right, standing out is good but in the right way. If you wear a suit in a wrong setting you look out of place and weird. Suits are business formal attire and therefore are worn in a business formal setting. The context of your clothing matters just as much as the clothing itself. If you want to stand out, wear clothes that fit the context but do it better than everyone else around you.
