    • I use the nail scissors. It took me a while to be able to cut with each hand though. Not used to using scissors with my other hand. When I'm cutting my left hand (holding scissors in the right) I tend to cut in bits or chunks. But when I do the opposite hand, I can do the whole nail in one curve without stopping.

    • I use the clip (the first one). It's better than scissors in terms of cutting your fingernails on your right hand (or if you're left-handed, your left hand).

    • @Nayblox Kind of. Usually it's because people cut their nails and take too much off the sides so the nail starts growing up AND to the sides and eventually is biting into the skin on the side of the nail. It's quite annoying and painful, but when it's infected it's really bad. When my big toe nails were both infected, I slept with my feet out from under the covers for a year because the weight of the sheets on my bed hurt when they rested on them.

  • As a person who had an ingrown toenail I have to point out that you can't use the same tehnique on hands and feet. Toenails should be longer and cut straight, leaving the edges, also cut less frequently than fingernails (because they grow slower). I really dislike seeing people with ugly looking nails and girls notice it even more. That is why this video is so important. Keep up the good work Antonio!

    • This is true. I remember a long time ago I was at a party with a lady. Before we sealed the deal, she actually asked me to show her my nails. Apparently how I previously trimmed them was a huge turnoff to her. Women notice men. Women notice. The details matter.

    • True, i used to bite my nails, they weren't that short but neither long, one day after biting them they looked disastrous, and someone noticed and told me "At least I have better nails than you!" From that day I have let my nails grow and they are quite long lol. Women are too picky.

  • I was biting my nails my whole life. Recently at age 33, I noticed pain in the upper part of my middle finger when I touched something. I should've went to my family doctor but was icing it and hoping it would get better. I didn't think it was an infection. But next day I noticed the pain got extremely intense and unbearable. The following day, the pain was more tolerable but the entire upper front was a bit swollen. Finally after few more days, I went to have it checked out by my family doctor who referred me to the ER. Let me tell you, it was the most painful experience of my life even though the whole procedure was about 30 seconds. The first 10 seconds is the needle to very bottom (front) part of your finger, which gets more painful towards the end. You get to rest for 10 minutes, before the next 20 seconds of "finger surgery" which was excruciating to say the least. I definitely won't be biting my nails again. The infection is called "finger paronychia".

  • Wow! Sensational. Questions: 1) How important is it to clean up our cuticles and how might we do that? 2) Can we do all of this ourselves (professionally) without going to a mani or pedi expert?

    @tadbubs@tadbubs4 жыл бұрын
    • 1. Very important you can clean thrm up by trimming them and using cuticle oil keep in mind not to trim it all so that you don't get an infection 2. You can do it yourself!

  • Question: Softening the nails by soaking them might increase your chances of tearing instead of cutting, but isn't this assuming someone has gone out and purchased every specialty tool you've introduced? If people are using a generic, and dull pair of dollar store clippers wouldn't you want your nails soft to avoid crushing the nails?

    @pentoctolos@pentoctolos5 жыл бұрын
    • Even with that, I think it's more likely to tear than cut

  • Funny, my parents are from Europe. My mom cut my nails with scissors when I was a little kid, so that's all I've ever really used. A couple of times when I was traveling or didn't have scissors, I bought a nail clipper, but it didn't seem nearly as good as the scissors--so I always went back. I just cut in a curve, going around the whole edge of the nail. Since I've always used scissors on my nails, I have no trouble using them on either hand.

Using antibacterial soap for a lifetime may allow you to get infected with a superbug that is resistant to normal anti-biotics. What about regular soap? It kills over 90% of germs. They leave good germs alone, according to CDC.

    • El Muchacho Serio Right, standing out is good but in the right way. If you wear a suit in a wrong setting you look out of place and weird. Suits are business formal attire and therefore are worn in a business formal setting. The context of your clothing matters just as much as the clothing itself. If you want to stand out, wear clothes that fit the context but do it better than everyone else around you.
