Seriously brought me to tears just thinking of Sean at the presser like “yeah I’m about to make weight but I still have no idea who I’m fighting. I’m just ready to get my next title defense against whoever the ufc sends in last minute” 😂😂
I know people have been discrediting chito after this but going into this everyone held that loss over Sean's head and people still had a feeling chito could beat Sean, or Sean would be super boring. YET Sean went out there and put on a 5 round masterclass. Proving his cardio and levels to his skills and fight IQ. I've never seen Chito THAT hurt before and even tho Cory beat chito, it's crazy how Sean was able to damage chito that bad. He has very effective offensive aggression. Most people with feints and his abilities don't fight like Sean. Others need there opponent to come to them in order to maybe counter them but Sean's proven he is Effective fighting in pretty much every direction, either stance, crazy timing juking output which makes his feints work more because he actually attacks mixed with-in them. It's awesome to watch It's MMA so anything can happen but I truly see so much evolution in O'malley's skills. Every opponent has gone against Sean with the goal of taking him down. Look how he beat Thomas Almada. In a lot of his fights he's shown potential of what he's capable of and I really think he can cement himself in batamweight history. Ilia's acting all arrogant like he runs the UFC with no title defenses so Ilia should focus on defending his belt. The Merab & Cory fights would be epic for his 135 fight list.
Couldn’t be more Accurate 💯 If O’Malley beats merab and Cory we can BEGIN, at least. To start talking about O’Malley potentially being the best 135lb champ we’ve ever seen. I know he didn’t beat yan convincingly, but he beat him… he beat aljo (in the fashion that he did), I think he’d give dom problems in his prime. Tj wouldve been a very interesting fight, but I would think O’Malley is the better striker and would be able to keep it standing. Yans a good wrestler, he couldn’t keep him down, aljo couldn’t even GET him down.. people are JUST starting to realize how good this dude is (so it seems anyway). He’s a serious problem in that division. If he goes and beats Cory and merab convincingly, we can start talking about O’Malley potentially the bantamweight goat. Yes I know he has a lot of work to do, but the dude like you said just seems to be getting better and better every fight… he’s hard to take down, and keep down…. I don’t think there’s ANY one past or present that can out strike him.. bantamweight is STACKED to the tits but, fk man good luck. That dude is starting to be a real problem at bantamweight. What he’s done already is very impressive, however time will tell if he is, in fact that dude….

Almost every reason people give as to why Merab is going to beat Sean, are the same reasons they were giving as to why Sean had no chance of beating Aljo.
If Sean beats merab, we should be screaming for suga vs sandhagen from the rooftops.
Afraid, might be strong, but, every fighter is more confident fighting some guys than others..And Sean's confidence has to be at it's lowest fighting Merab..Sean is not the favorite like he was fighting Chito..Merab can win, the fight could go either way..
Merab is actually a much easier fight for Sean than you think... Merab gets chinned more than Chito ( by random nobodies mind you) and Merab certainly is no Chito when it comes to taking big shots.
@@Jackrabfanyo Merab has gotten hurt by a few fighters, that he has went on to utterly destroy in the rest of the fight, much like Charles Olives, not that Merab has the skills of Oliveria, but it's a good comparison..And no one knows how easy of a fight this will be for either of them..Sean could hurt Merab in the start of a few rounds and then get rag dolled for the entire fight..Or Sean could put Merab's lights out..That is why they have the fights..On any given night, it could be a total different fight..Sean stopped Aljo, he certainly can stop Merab, but Merab is on a streak, he looked 50 times better against Petr Yan than Sean did..

Henry cejudo landed a lot of shots on mehrab , mehrab got caught. He doesn’t survive those same shots from Sean . Sean has a lot of ways to win, mehrab only has 1 decision by takedowns and holding on cage. Mehrab has 1 finish in his ufc career . All the others are decisions . Sean has so many more ways to win & I think he will win

O'Malley has been ducking Merab for years now. MMA community including Topuria is calling him out on it so he is just trying to delay at this point hoping something will save him. Never seen a champ this scared and undeserving of the title and can't wait to see Merab take him out.
Just like sterling was gonna dog O’Malley and got slept? Just like yan had way better cardio and more “dog” in him and lost? At a certain point you can’t say someone is undeserving when they have ran all the way through rankings to be champion. Merab has gotten rocked before and wasn’t by anyone CLOSE to Sean’s striking ability.
