The Greek Freak I The Story Behind Giannis Antetokounmpo

2021 ж. 13 Там.
127 971 Рет қаралды

It's one of the unlikeliest stories in NBA history. An international rags to riches tale too unbelievable to script. From the streets of Athens, Giannis Antetokounmpo has risen to the top of the basketball world.

  • There's also something this video didn't show: his willingness to accept failure and keep trying to overcome it (or his lack of fear regarding failure). There's a video of him during this year's playoff where he told PJ Tucker (his teammate): I airballed two freethrows in 4th quarter, I got shutdown in 4th quarter, I lost playoff series leads before, I can't fall any lower. That's also what makes Giannis unique: he will not accept failure, but he will not intentionally avoid the risk of failure, if it means getting what he wanted (be it victory or championship). That's something that's hard to teach to most people.
