I remember him coming up when I first started watching MMA, to think he is only 5months younger than me and he can fight at the highest level is beyond amazing.   • Everyone talks about the Rory Macdonald fight of course it was one of the best ever. For me who’s close to Robbie’s age who stayed up late nights to watch him fight in pride. I dunno why but that fight against Nick Diaz the second time was my favorite moment. Maybe it’s nostalgia but seeing that embrace after all those years in the cage with Nick was really special. God bless you champ you’re 1 of 1 in my books always will be. There will never be another Ruthless Robbie Lawler.

  • The fight that got me absolutely hoooooked was watching Lawler vs Condit at a Buffalo Wild Wings. I had only watched some random fight cards before that one, but watched that fight and was like “holy shit, I love this sport.” Thank you Robbie.   • Feels like he’s retained his savage edge throughout his whole career but he’s humble and level headed and seems in a much better place in retirement than many guys. I was always a fan but what he said to Nick Diaz after their fight showed his character outside the octagon as well.
