  • Deion encouraging Petyon to refer to himself in the third person is gold. And Peyton playing corner is like putting a Honda Civic in the Indy 500.

    • Just a couple hours ago, Deion and his son Shilo did a "Tuesday Presser" (press conference). Deion said he won't ever compare them to himself, or pressure them. He told them to be themselves and be great on their own. Without Travis Hunter against Oregon (my team) next week, I think Colorado is going to get stomped. If it is a close game, that would be awesome. 2 high powered offenses going against each other with neither having defense nearly as well versed. It should easily break the 100 point mark (total, not for a single team, of course). As for Michigan, Jim is a great coach and their whole staff has been able to continue to bring many amazing players. I feel like they'll be going perfect this season and HOPEFULLY facing Oregon for the National Championship, Wolverines #1, Oregon #2 (so they don't have to face each other in the first playoff game). We just have to beat USC (and Colorado?) and the rest of the games will be dominance by Oregon. Good luck!

  • He was so good. I grew up watching him and he helped lead my niners to Super Bowl 5. Never seen anything like him at corner. Shut down?!!! Qb’s wouldn’t throw in his direction. He also had the best recovery speed I’ve ever seen. He goated qb’s into thinking receivers were open by playing 5 yards back and then he would accelerate and pick the ball literally every time. Only person he had trouble covering was his teammate jerry ride another GOAT and he said they were made of the same DNA and Jerry got him one of his rings along the playmaker Michael Irvin another HOF’r. Neon Deon! People forget that nickname…..

  • In 1994 during the off season there were rumors of Dean Sanders being courted by the Denver Broncos. I was a Broncos season ticket holder and I called and left a message for then owner Pat Bowlen that I was willing to renegotiate my ticket prices up by an extra $200 per year IF they were to sign him. I really felt he was that much of an impact player!

  • Deion Sanders in space with the football, no matter where he was on the field, was always a touchdown just waiting to happen. This segment also gave me a little insight into Peyton. He was not just a quarterback, but he was also an athlete, as well. He took Dion coaching, and executed it pretty well without a lot of repetition.

  • Saw Deion Sanders in Cowboys training camp. He had the skinniest calves of any player I've seen. It seemed like they would snap when he ran and cut. But he was one of fastest, most durable players in football. And he was tougher that given credit for, becoming a good tackler, especially in his later career.

    • @faithinallthingsw4088 depends, sprinters are usually jacked and compact, long distance runners are long and lean. Deon wasn't built like a sprinter but he was smooth, had great vision as a runner and similar to Ricky Henderson he was at full speed pretty much by his 3rd step.

    • Easy now. Everything you said was spot on accept you embellished just a little bit when you called Deion a "good" tackler towards the end of his career. Yes, Deion did make a few tackles in his career but to say he was ever a "good" tackler would be a disservice to all the Db's/Cb's who actually were good tacklers. I know what you meant though.

  • I've often used Deion to teach people about confidence. People would say he was cocky so I taught them the difference. A cocky corner would get burned and act like they're elite whereas Deion was elite because he shut down everybody. So he was confident in the abilities he truly had.

    @Daily_Llama@Daily_Llama9 ай бұрын
    • Prime was that thin line between cocky and confident.

      @zlinedavid@zlinedavid3 ай бұрын
    • @@zlinedavid I would agree he toed the line then. Now he's just a cocky coach. His confidence created a Dunning-Kruger effect as a coach. Where in one aspect of the game he is an elites confident athlete & in another area of that same game, he is cocky. He all9wed his confidence in a small aspect of the game disrupt his overall abilities within the game. He thinks he knows it all because he can do one small thing within a broader concept. His once confident posture has kept him back as a coach. The kids he coaches are suffering because of his own inability to lead because he won't properly prepare himself to coach.
