The fact that this movie still holds up 33 years later is just a testament to how good of a movie it is
I love the fact the speedo is bouncing around like that. if that is the vehicles top speed why is it dropping?
Because they used to make movies that are timeless and will be remembered forever. Nobody will remember the junk they put out these days. Trash like Dark Fate will be forgotten in a couple of years. Hell, it's already been forgotten.
Ah, Terminator 2. I miss the good old days when this was released.
Watch it again and pretend you’ve never seen it. Those days ain’t over
CLASSIC
@@jayjaymejia4149ya it still feels the same
Just saw this in the theater on 3/15/24 in 4k in Atlanta. Was bitter sweet.
1:35 The T-800 charging across the trucks and unloading his clip in the T-1000 is such an amazing stunt. I'm impressed that someone as big as Arnold was able to run across two moving vehicles so quick and easy.
Lucky this isn't t1
I saw it in the theater when I was 11 and that scene blew me away. Everyone who sees it for the first time, their eyes go big in astonishment. Beyond legendary 😆🤯
I was impressed with the details! When T Arnold fall rolling to the ground, the exposed parts of his endoskeleton sparkle with the friction! That's a detail!
It wasn’t Arnold though, it was his stunt double who did that scene.
The moment is majestic. I keep rewatching that part over and over again. The one time the T-800 was swift, rigorous and clinical in its tactical movements against the T-1000. That score is well utterly unmissable.
Hands down one of the best sequels ever made 😊
A nice touch is that the T800 doesn’t get mad when the car swerves and causes him to miss, nor when the truck crashes into them and causes him to drop his ammo. A human would likely get annoyed and might take out their frustration on their companions, but the T800 barely reacts and just calmly moves on to the next logical course of action. It really helps sell the fact that it’s a machine despite its human appearance. It’s a small detail, but this film is full of small details like this. It’s a shame I didn’t see this film until last year, because it is phenomenal.
Damn. My jaw still drops when watching this movie..
I love how the vehicles top speed is dropping when they are trying to get away is the motor over heating? and why did they choose the slowest vehicle the escape in?
@@SaraMorgan-ym6ue Might be the cars transmission just can't get to the next gear?
@@RantRantJoe well you hope because the other option is that the motor is to weak to push the truck forwards at those speeds with the thing in the back acting as an air brake after the truck was not designed to have that in the back and it does not look very areo dynamic so the engine could be over taxed and not able to keep the truck at that speed a gust of wind could have been slowing the truck down🤣
I love the scene where the Terminator gets on the gas truck and just constantly blasts the T 1000
That was epic
1:37 awesome scene
Bro was like alright enough if this
2:16 That tuck and roll was chef's kiss..
Dopamine drop and roll
1:35 He finally acquired the Assault rifle just like The Police station shootout and Motorcycle chase in Terminator 1.
Two different guns. The police station AR was a full auto M16A1. The rifle the first T800 used in that same assault was a modified full auto AR180. This is a CAR15 with a legal 14” barrel and an old moderator device taken from the SWAT van.
I've always loved the subtleness of this scene; how it reveals that despite the T-800 becoming more human, it's still only a machine, and cannot detach itself from the earlier instruction to "Keep it under 65, we don't want to be pulled over"! Genius.
What?! I just thought that was as fast as that truck could go. I never put that together!
Great answer. I always felt the same way about that detail about the scene. Lately rewatching it, I wasnt completely sure about it. Thank you
I assumed that the T800 couldn’t drive faster because the truck’s max speed is governed at 55mph
No, no, no. The "keep it under 65" came from Sarah so it wasn't an order the T-800 had to follow implicitly. Plus the T-800 was actually able to break free from taking orders, just remember John's "I order you not to go".
T800 listens to John. John said step on it. He is not following the previous instruction of keeping it under 65. This is an 82 S10 4 cylinder automatic. You would be lucky to get it up to 75 accelerating down hill
Linda Hamilton was quite the babe back then. Extremely elegant (still is).
First saw her in this film when I was a kid, pretty sure she hardwired what I look for in a woman.
Infelizmente ela não quer mais voltar para o 7 filme da franquia
"dont stop" :P
She was dating James cameron at the time.
My god, she was so pretty and hot.
1:40 one of the most badass scenes in film history.
1:40 Fun Fact: Production was halted for 6 weeks because Robert Patrick was hospitalized after being repeatedly shot in the face in this scene.
It was also halted for yet another six weeks as Robert Patrick had to reform himself after being shattered into pieces.
What a dedicated actor taking those bullets to the face like a champ.
True story. After this scene movie studios were much more careful when they were viciously unloading an assault weapon clip in an actor's face. Safety regulations are written in blood!

Ahh the good’ol’ terminator ❤❤❤
“This is the vehicle’s top speed.” Arnold’s delivery of that line never ceases to make me chuckle.😄
Curious that T2 is essentially T1 all over again. It shows how amazing the first film was.
In what way may I ask? I'm not sure I agree. It's two machines this time. The first movie was a human protector. The human couldnt get close the same way it happened in the second movie. Plus attacking is easier than protecting a person I guess. So it makes sense that they are running. Especially if you are a machine.
Except that this time in T2, The Terminator is the good guy and if you seen T1 and despite everything they tried to stop him knowing that he is now on your side you felt that you were invincible now against anything even another more advanced Terminator like the T1000
2:18 Sonic Roll
0:05 "I can get out in one faster than this" 😂
navalny lives in our hearts with that movie
One of the best action movies ever
Arguably the best action film ever.
The shot of the last high explosive round rolling in the back of the truck at 0.51, kind of a Chekov's Gun moment of the importance of it later on
2:18 I can't with this part xd
1.31 the orchestral change in what is one of the best moments in a movie crammed with top tier action. Jim Cameron went woah big with this movie, dont think it's ever been surpassed
Score is brilliant
@Balt9mm it's one of the best ever and it mixes with all the sound effects in the movie perfectly
That get the hell outta here guy was the best
Why is the title not "This is the vehicle's top speed".
I can get out and run faster than this!
lol he heard you
@@mikemccann1997 hahah yay. Thanks @flashback fm :)
Thanks Flashback FM :)
1:36 How to properly deal with tailgaters.
He will be back.
But this time, not the terminator, the governator.
@@hectorlopez1069 he already did that.
Scary to think how daunting this film must have been as a technical challenge. Early CGI, huge practical stunts and explosions, even the weapons training for all the cast to realistically play their parts. Fans of Titanic and Avatar won't agree with me but I think Cameron hasn't made a better film since this one.
Don't forget Stan Winston's special make-up effects.
@@aliendroneservices6621 of course.
Uma das melhores obras do cinema
Amazing movie
What a powerful scene.
I love the side effects and the technology of movies in the 80s and early 90s. You don't see that kind of stuff on movies anymore.
Iconic just iconic
1:38 Its someone else driving the car 😂
1:34 we won't see moments like this anymore. this film never gets old.
Discussed at school and stuff. Those were the days.
I remember watching this with my dad on VHS. Good times
Hasta la vista……baby😂
Chill out dickwad 💫
Such a splendid reupload
When the T-800 jumps off the truck and rolls forward you can see the CGI effect combined with the actual stunt of falling and rolling. It stands out every time.
It was a puppet
@@NitpickingNerdthere’s footage of it being a stunt double.
It was a combination of all three. Puppet, Peter Kent and CGI touch up
Easily the top Terminator film out there
The best one of all. ❤
This is the film!!!
Hard to kill
Back when 55 was yellow / orange sigh memories
Amazing editing in this scene.
How funny would it have been if the terminator said GET OUT AND RUN THEN 🏃♂️
Sounds like something out of T3 or Genysis.
1:35 What I love so much about this scene is that even a Terminator can think "Okay, f this, i'm sick of this guy." and just go full badass and walk across and unload into the T-1000. If you watch his feet movements as he moves to the 2nd truck it's honestly frightening to think that a machine can move so fluidly like that.
The music on this scene is so sick
¡Esta pelea es formidable y me gusta mucho excelente vídeo gracias!👍😊
I always had a hard time believing a terminator would say, "drive a minute" 😆
My old 1999 ford ranger 2.4 back in the day. I know that feeling at 0:02
What a scene 🎬. Epic. This gave me goose bumps first time watching this as a kid
یادش بخیر عجب دورانی❤
True story: James Cameron was a truck driver when he came up with the Terminator story, and he imagined himself as an assassin in a truck going after John Connor. ... okay, I made that last part up
Ah, Terminator 2, a sci-fi movie you can watch without AI fear-porn
2:18 BOSSMAN
I hate and love these scenes from classics Hate it cause we cant do this good anymore with effects Love it cuz even tho i was born till ‘96, this all feels and looks very real even though it really is lol movies that risk practical effects are peak filmmakers but those can manipulate effects between practical and cg like Miller’s mad max fury road is modern peak lol
That pickup can definitely outrun the tanker
Crazy stuntwork.
They probably shouldn't have gone straight without stopping
Why is it the vehicles top speed?
0:05 - Uh no John you can’t
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They need to put both of these two movies on free app. I don't know why that's not in yet.
Don't mess with Doggett 😂
He turned the truck's wheel like 15 degrees, a semi-truck wheel would need to be spun over a full rotation to achieve the jackknife displayed here.
And Terminators exist.
And no one thought to call the police while this was all kicking off lmao.
As awesome as this whole sequence was. Always wondered why they didn’t tap the breaks n go the other way 😁
In any highway chase scene, it's required to hit at least 3 of those yellow water-filled barrels.
crazy how they foreshadow with John Connor saying he can get out and run faster than the truck going at least 40 mph.
Anyone noticed that pretty much every Terminator film involves a car chase involving a pickup truck and a truck.
Hope those guys working so late at the steel mill getting some good OT rates
Don't forget Superman II remanstered (Lester). The army scene.
Upload Terminator 3 scenes
One minor thing that has always annoyed me - 0:50 semi is right behind a car, next shot as the T-800 blasts the semi, the car has somehow vanished.
Good catch, I hope I can unsee this 😅
When a T-800 gets pissed 1:37
1:30 time to modify our tactics for a more direct approach.
Some of the effects are definitely looking tired.

No police during this entire scene?
Arnold took out the entire police force and incapacitated the whole swat team, he blew up ALL their police vehicles and then stole the entire swat van, and then the T-1000 stole the police helicopter too... all of which happened in the cyberdyne scene 10 minutes earlier, remember? There are NO MORE police lol. Have you even seen the movie?
They should have ended the franchise with this one.
Only 75 mph LOL
Hilda kid Alex drive honda accord 2019 ex at 91 freeway gangster game 0:59
Wrong subtitles buddy
Thats pretty pathetic that truck can’t outrun a semi carrying at least 50 tons of liquid nitrogen
how is under 65 mph the top speed. wtf. lol
The best sequel in history of sequels
T1 and T2 is the only terminator movies that exist for me. The rest is bullshit. T3 was ok. Good ending in T3.
I don't care for this movie. Really disrespectful of the original Terminator movie. Shame on James Cameron for being a sellout and making an unnecessary sequel.
BIGGEST TROLL COMMENT EVER 😂
Next video: Hasta la vista baby 😎
