Cool I guess for him but this film was the very height of his excellence as a director, storyteller, human being. Not every bar a MC stops at is linked with the MC, but in this case the bartender has a vest similar to the member who got the knife stuck through his shoulder, which leads me to believe that he is very closely involved with this MC.

This guy doesn’t care that he’s being burnt, he brushes off knives and bats, and he can forcibly grab a gun out of your hands before you can pull the trigger. He is throwing people across rooms and is on a mission.

    • It's product placement. Companies give their stuff away and pay the studios to immerse whatever it is they want to market. It's why everyone on tv uses a mac computer, James Bonds various accoutrements, gadgets and car manufacturers are all paying top dollar for a few moments of screen time. Especially if the character using their product is "cool" like the Terminator. It can be well executed and seamlessly integrated into a plot or narrative like in this case, but can also be a little clunky and crass when crow-barred into a shot or conversation, out of obligation to some fast food corp for example. Even Anime movies and cartoons use product placement. Some animators have to draw replicas of the devices and clothing available in reality to advertise. It's trippy.

    • @@Krystalmyth We know that, you're just stating the obvious. This was going next level - what's the world building of the script team like. We have to go by what the bar tender knew. The movie makers shouldn't make the average people to expect robots. It's not that obvious for the bar tender that this was a robot - not in an 80's world. Nowadays some might think that, when we have the experimental humanlie robots in test phases. Here, it was most likely this was a body builder, crazy on steroids and maybe something else. But he likely didn't trust the shotgun to stop the big guy, even if taking a leg out - is how I would accept his behaviour. Just there's also this stupid repeating movie solution: bring the gun within the hand reach. So not everything in this scene is scripted smartly.

  • Any one ever catch the knife blade bending when Arnie gets stabbed? I watched a you tube video a while back where they thought they found a mistake on that part. Personally, I'm not so sure that was a mistake. I actually caught this years back after the movie came out on VHS. I had a pretty nice Mitsubishi VCR back then that would freeze, frame by frame with a jog dial, and did so without picture distortion. My friends and I were convinced that the knife bending was on purpose and not a prop flop. The actor thrusts the knife into Arnie pretty hard and I believe this scene purposely shows the hyper-alloy combat chassis in action. The knife pierces the human tissue of the cyborg and immediately impacts the metal-endo skeleton (combat chassis) underneath, causing it to bend. Amazing and authentic special effects detail set forth by James Cameron. The movie is just awesome!!!

JESUS Christ being God and omnipresent is going to cause every gaythiest to see him come and take believers to HEAVEN. JESUS Christ has an undercover mode where he looks like a regular man. JESUS Christ in his natural form is God almighty consisting of potent strong literal holy fire raging from his very being. God basically is like in a human form with hands feet eyes, but instead of consisting of flesh, he consists of holy literal flaming fire, and his second coming he will come in glory mode and everyone alive is going to run and hide like from a tornado

    • Funnily enough, this is actually one of the intelligence operative's approaches to "blending in". To do the contrary, to send someone who looks extremely out of place, uncommon. Visual clues tend to attract people, so they will remember more of how the person looked like than what he was after. The fact you are asking this is another pro to this method - "they wouldn't send someone so obvious, right?" is the question frequently asked. In fact, one of the most well-known sucessful CIA foreign operations (I think there is even a movie about it) was to during Iran hostage crisis send a whole team of Americans acting like Hollywood movie makers to the Tehran. They were all white, loud, photographed everything incessantly, clothed in obvious western style and generally acted obnoxious. They went repeatedly through police checks, so later during the operation, local police already knew them and didn't really bothered about checking them again. Operation was success and their cover was blown only after they were out of Iran.
