This is something Hollywood is ignoring because the actors and producers feel so entitled. Kdramas snd Cdramas show how hard everyone works in cold weather with mist coming out as they speak their lines. Beautiful costumes and backgrounds compared to Hollywood’s everyday grunge wear and plain city backdrops. Hollywood really needs to step up its game rather than go on strike trying to prevent these better series and movies from being shown on Netflix, YT, etc.

It's good, the casts, the story, and the pacing--I don't usually watch subtitled series, but the main actress is the attraction--she's in 2014 Condor Hero series, it's good to see her as the main character. (I normally watch dubbed Cdramas).

This drama is so underrated, I keep coming back and the story line/plot twists/acting were so well done
I am rewatching this show. I pulled an all-nighter to finish it and I cried. Now I’m back at the first episode and it’s making me feel so sad, seeing all these characters and knowing what happens to each of them. To anyone who has not watched this drama before, it is excellent and you get really attached to the characters. It’s definitely worth watching. Also, don’t skip episodes or sections because you will miss out on important information. The reason I’m rewatching this is because the twists and turns are so complex and I want to find more details that I didn’t notice the first time. Thank goodness I am not a character in this drama, because the scheming and backstabbing is too much for me to keep up with and I would end up dead because of my naïveté.

I was asking myself why I am getting obsessed of watching historical drama though, its usually mixed with mythical stories specially in CD😊😊😊. Now I got the absolute answers. First because of their modest and elegant dressing. 2nd genuine twist of each characters stories in the drama a lot to mention.
For me it’s the costumes as well as the male leads that are not afraid to love. If I watch some modern movie in America… It’s all about some macho man who is been emotionally hurt 35 times before and doesn’t trust women. These folks didn’t “date” & they try to make their marriage work. These guys in these Chinese dramas are not afraid to love. They are not afraid to admit it, which is a plus in my book
Watching this for Luo. Because no matter how sad role he plays i still love watching his dramas.

One of the best written cdramas I've watched with all action filled adventures, mystery, romance, sword fights with unexpected twists that keeps you addicted. Second time watching while recuperating from the bug & I loved it! The cast were perfectly chosen, the main leads were superb & the costumes were splendid!

The aesthetics of this drama are so pleasing from the sets, costumes, music and even speech is so beautiful. The cast is also stunning as well. I watch this over and over just for this reason. It’s so warm, the candles against the wooden interiors, the costumes, Rong Le’s smile, the gorgeous tea sets, even the acting is so intimate.

This drama is great, finished today and came back to give feedback. Everything is settled at the very end don't give up in any episodes though middle part is quite back and forth but keep patience after that the story becomes more interesting. The director is such a good chess player to write such an amazing drama with many strategy .

Loved the whole series. So many things have been portrayed in one drama- betrays, loosing loved ones, forgiving, trusting, friendship, love and brotherhood. Acceptance of wrong deeds. Well , there is so much than I have explained here. You won't feel bored. Never expected to experience so much in one drama. Main leads were awesome. I loved female lead's both love side and anger side.
