I think I have finally figured out why these videos grab me so much. You talk normal, at a normal volume and pace. Which is rare these days, its usually about being the most obnoxious. You are just laidback and nice, makes me feel like I am there with ya working on this.
Couldn't agree more with you. I'm became addicted to this channel within a few episodes.
Also the smooth jazz piano in the backing track.
Stradman 😂
Reminds me of Sam Sulek, the description you gave I mean
My sentiments exactly! Chill and just overall normal pace.
"I found an old drain pipe that made my Volvo sound like a V10" would be a more accurate title by the looks of it lol :D Glad youtube recommended me this.
🤣🤣🤣
Personal Opinion - the V70R is one of the best looking Estates/Wagons ever made. It's simple elegance that cannot be mistaken for something else, and that's what makes it look so good.
As a Swede it's fun to see others enjoy a Volvo!
Jag håller med. Man blir stolt av att vara svensk när man ser folk njuta av svensk stål🔥
So tru
I had a volvo s40 2.4i,best car ive ever had, fast and good on fuel
Back when it wasn’t a Chinese built disaster.
@@freddie5956Saab and Volvo are both so cool
It's refreshing to see someone working on a car and putting on what they can afford and not spending tens of thousands and fancy parts right off the bat
And then his next video dropped lol 😂
I will be the first to say in almost all cars I've heard Straight piped im not a fan but man these 5 cylinder engines need to be heard with a straight pipe I 100% approve of the straight pipe on these T5s!
not sure if it's a common issue but Its fairly cheap and easy to prevent, but at high milage and less than great maintenance the o rings inside the oil pan start to fail and you will have no oil pressure. consider doing that if you haven't already before the car leaves you stranded lol ask me how I found out. but yeah great series and great car!
This series made me buy a S60R as my new daily.
Rip your wallet and cylinder walls 😂
Good luck, brother. R life is not for the weak lmao
@@Ihavetoomanyvolvos you'll also need all the money to be able to maintain it
I daily my V70R, 18 miles of mountain road and 10 miles of freeway. So much fun
@@davidr8309 i had 2 tuned identical s60r m66. Both could hit above 180mph. Nothing more fun to drive than an R, they're just one of the most expensive cars do daily
Your video series restoring this $1,500 V70R has convinced me to not sell my $3,500 S60R and to go all-in on it instead. It needs complete 4C overhaul, brake rotors/pads, DEM, etc. But after watching you do all that you've done and still love these, I gotta admire that passion and I'll give it a shot with my own project. Thanks man and keep it up!
Do it man! 👍
The Volvo B5 sounds so good with a straightpipe, the sound is so addictive. The Delrin bushings make the steering SO much sharper too, I absoluetly LOVED mine. I miss mine so much, I had an 04 V70 T5 manual with the B5234T, bunch of work done on it, drove the shit out of it for 12 years, sold it and it's still running today. I highly recommend getting a proper 3" downpipe, deres the IPD pipe and keep the rear muffler, I had up a muffler delete for mine that I would run sometimes as well for pure straight pipe goodness. For some reason mine was a magnet for trucks wanting to race, had some good laughs that's for sure.
Love what you've done with the v70. Volvo is really slept on in north america, it's nice to see someone appreciate a true classic volvo car
Seriously underrated channel. Volvo build with such quality and video production. Keep up the awesome work, bro!
Ever since we started our 850R project on our channel, your videos popped into the algorithm! It’s awesome to see people still passionate about these older 5 cylinder cars! Love your content and the car sounds great! Keep it up dude!
I love this series! Love your videos and your production quality is great. Keep it up!
One of the best car channels on KZhead! Very chill to watch
Best series on yt, love your content🔥
My friend, you've just earned a new subscriber. Damn, the edit, the car, hands down one of the best content by a mile. Keep up the great work and loving this sick wagon ♥️
Love and miss that sound. Had a 06' VR. Couldn't do a 3-point turn to save its life but it's definitely the most fun, roomiest and comfortable car I owned. These cars are a labor of love, so it's awesome you have the facility and ability to work on it. Mad respect.
I am so stoked on this build I recently found your page and this gives me a lot of motivation with my car and this one sounds insane can't wait for the next segment
Omg putting the exhaust hangers on before bolting the frame bracket. GENIUS.
Man I miss wrenching on my car! You sure know your way around cars. It sounds like a beast! Thank you for keeping it real, because a lot of people feel they need to be loud and flashy to grab your attention. You are chill and mellow. It is a breath of fresh air!
Gratz on 30k, been here since the first 1k
Built my exhaust in my garage and it don’t look fantastic, but I dig it. Especially for being able to make an ST sound decent. Rad video dude. Looks like you’re putting a lot of hard work into a car you appreciate, and that’s awesome.
Such an underrated channel. Love it bro 👍🏼
As much as I like your usual videos, one like this brings a welcome change. I'm already looking forward to the next ones. Keep up the good work!
It seems the algorithm gods have shined their light upon you my dude. This is the first video of yours that I've seen, but what a great project. I love 5 cylinders!
This just popped up on my recommended vids, and boy am I glad it did! Great video and awesome whip! You just got a new sub!
That 5cyl is legendary, one of the best car sounds! Was considering Volvo C30 T5 as my daily
As a V70 lover, I think it’s mega that you’re going through with this build. V70R sound is amazing! Even the D5 with a straight pipe sounds like a V10.
Love this channel and build. Keep up the perfect content
This series is so motivating to watch
Nice work on the rear sway bar! I have an 04 XC70 and upgraded to a stock R one but didn't want to remove the exhaust (East Coast rust problems) and it was a bit more of a battle BUT you nailed it with loosening the lower shock bolts for a bit of extra clearance, that's what got me home free as well! I agree, the sound is more mild than expected with the cat back straight pipe. Now I have the itch to put a fresh metal blade in the sawzall and help my muffler leave the chat 😅
"It just went righty loosey" :D That made my day! Great vid, bro. Sounds awesome.
Perfect ! Awesome work a long time ago i had a 1992 940 with the B230FB engine, one of the best daily driver i have ever owned
it sounds strangely good, love this series
honestly I always forget to comment but since you've started building this awesome volvo I never skip 1 second of the video you just keep me entertained I don't know how looking forward on the exterior restoration Keep it up!!!
Man, love this Series. Greets from Germany!
Love all of your clip and edited style !! That make me more in love with my V40!!!
Already love your photography content. Now here for the Volvo content. Time yo binge the rest of the vofeos lol
The best volvo youtube channel! ❤🔥
I love Volvo’s T5 engines, they are the best sounding engine on an affordable car by far.
Still remember the sound of my old V70 T5 20 years ago. 434 ar the wheels and 3" allt the way. The sound was incredible! Best sounding engine ever Went Bimmer later on.
"all in the name of having a good time".. that's it right there ❤
I had a '96 850 T5-R 5 spd, with a straight pipe exhaust back in 2001. It was my, now i have a kid/family vehicle. I loved that big yellow, bonnet lifting monster.
I have a custom 3 inch catback straight pipe full 3 inch no oval sections. It sounds incredible every morning!
Sounds great. Long may it live.
You're doing a great job on this car, keep on doing. I'm a french fan of you and I own a C70 T5 ❤
Awesome project man! really like the edit.
Wow, what a job you're doing there, it looks fantastic, great choice with the wheels, they're perfect 👌
Been following since the beginning. Love the progress. Your videos are super informative and I can apply some to my current car. I have a 2004 V70 2.5T AWD in black. Would love a V70R but with my current vehicle count it's not in the cards. Looking forward to the next video. One note, have you ever considered purchasing a Quickjack to make things easier? I got one last year and it was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
I really enjoy the content you create
I’m loving this build it’s gotta be my favorite on KZhead atm, you planning on any appearance pods
Love this build so much. Thanks for the tip on identifying Japanifolds, found out my '01 V70 T5 already has one! I just got all the parts to do a valved exhaust on mine :) Straight pipe to stock exhaust with the press of a button
Keep it straight-piped, bro. It's amazing!
Oh man- THIS is SUCH a sweet ride my friend! 😁✌️
Awesome! My 97 V70R sounded INCREDIBLE with a decat and a milltek.
That thing looks really slick with those wheels❤
i absolutely love your work bro, your car really is transformed now! hope to see a paintjob soon! Cheers from France ;)
Ayo fantastic video and quality. Keep it coming
Been loving the content with the volvo's recently man, keep up the great work! Quick question, what's the piano music that you use to start each video? I really like the lowkey, chill vibes of it.
Great info... I have a 2003 V70T RWD. I've owned it since 06/2006, 145K miles. It's a fantastic car. I hope to get 5 more years. The maintenance is essential. I did much of the work until I found a Mechanic a few years back, but I've always changed the oil and transmission flush myself.
Heck yeah. Just sat down for dinner and boom, new video to watch. Perfect timing
Man I miss my VR 😔. Rocking an S60R M66 right now and I’m about to put the Snabb catless pipe on. Super excited especially after this vid. Love the content jeep it up man!
I just straight piped my T5 S80 and love the sound. Bout to drop the subframe and put in the subframe bushings.
As a former S60R owner this is super cool to see. I had some IPD goodies and tune on mine and these motors can really rip. Eletrical gremlins ended up making me sell it.
One of the best cars ever made
i am just in love with the wheels
I'd love one of these! Great sound track too btw
I love how it sounds.
Dude, I’ve always wanted one of these, they are so cool. I feel like it’s almost a modern take on the c4 Audi s6 avant- with the 20V turbo, or Volvos take on the b5 s4 avant. The latter or of the two I have owned and sadly sold it, still do have one but miss the avant badly. This video has made me want to look for a V70R now though, haha. Great videos, and look forward to seeing what you have in store for this thing in the future
Sounds so close to my TTRS! Thanks for the reminder to open up my exhaust
i love this series i saw this uploaded at 22mins but i was too tired, had to return the same day to see it thru
love this series sm
Hehe... Nice break from the huge teardown videos! Looking forward to the trans swap!
Very cool...loving this series. I'm a SAAB guy but I'm down to my last 9-3 and figure I'll investigate Volvos when this one heads to Valhalla. This V70R looks awesome.
Hey!!$ just found this channel! I have a 97 850R in red, I so desperately was wanting someone to make KZhead videos about Volvos and your videos are perfect, boutta watch from the begging!
Sounds amazing 🤩
Good job buddy, will follow this build.. ❤
Love how the V70R is turning out
my buddy has a Borla XR1 on his ipd exuast! im running catless on my s60 T5 with the 2.3 and my 96R is stock but gonna start rebuilding that soon too. love seeing the progress on the car keep it up!
Absolutely nice Video. Thanks for sharing your passion ❤
10:49 bro you have no business having such a professional filming. love the v70!
Sounds crazyy!! 🔥
Sounds so much better I like it keep it on it
Top, I really liked the sound of the van. Congratulations, it's looking great.💯👏🇵🇹
Dude....it sounds AWESOME !!! : ) I was the proud owner of a v70 5cil once i will own a r sometime in my life! I love volvo v70s they are really good quality.
I did this to my Volkswagen TDI. The turbo and diesel sounds brilliant
Wow this Volvo is just a pure emotion 😊
Love the sound and the FIRESTONE Indy 500 ❤🎉
The nature is AMAZING :-) Were exactly is it? Never expected to see snow there either. Good work and keep it up!!!
just got my food, and there you are with another video. fantastic!
dang. this thing looks smooth!
Beautiful looking car. I’ve always had a soft spot for Volvos. Especially the older, boxy ones. But this R, especially for $1500!! 😳 looks fantastic. The exhaust sounds MUCH BETTER than what it looked. Lol.
Keep making videos on your Volvo! Shits dope and needed! Get all the after market parts available and show us what's possible. Inspire us my G.
I see Volvo content...I subscribe. I had an '87 244. Great car! I miss it so much, but they are getting hard to find in any kind of condition. Though I've always wanted a v70r. Keep up the good content!
I just bought a 2007 S60R, in silver, fully loaded with the M66 manual for $2,300 yesterday. It’s been fun binge watching this series. Mine has a straight pipe and I think I am going to either replace it with an IPD setup, or just install a muffler in the straight pipe. It sounds good but I don’t think I can live with it as is.
ooooh nice find! i have an 07 in black over nordkap with the TF80 automatic. how many miles?
@@bren.nan_172k on the clock. It has the nordcap interior as well, love that color.
I have a 2007 T5M with the IPD exhaust - I went from stock to IPD, but I think it was well worth the money. Loud enough to feel sportier, quiet enough to daily. Definitely recommended!

Not sure how I got to this video as I’m not subscribed but this makes me miss my 2004 S60R . I used to make my buddy cry in his M3 whenever we lined up .
I run a 3” straight pipe exhaust from the turbo on my S70 T5, open valve and sport filter makes it sound amazing.
Can’t wait to see a sport kit install👀
This thing actually sounds sick!!
