    • This was just straight genius, crimea was definitely the most important port of rome, and they literally sacrified it to focus on North Africa and Anatolia, as they knew the Egyptians could not invade Greece or stay in Athens too long, and it resulted of the fall of Cairo 1 minute later…

      @KanooPhaPha94@KanooPhaPha94 Жыл бұрын
  • The strategic error is evident here. Egyptians sent multiple attacks on roman islands and on greek, crimean and italian peninsula. They were so successful that at their peak they had twice the army of Rome ! However around 3:33 the egyptian generals, furious by following defeats, decided to launch a huge invasion of the Balkans. This invasion however was poorly coordinated and was a huge fail. During that time romans took back their islands and progressed in the now free road of North Africa. Instead of sending an army to stop them the egyptians perseverated in their mistakes and kept trying to invade the Balkans. When they finally tried to stop the romans at the door of Cairos at 7:26 it was too late. They had lost most of their ressources and couldnt stop the landing on Turkey

  • The main reasons the Egyptians failed early on was: 1 Supply, look at the lands they colonized, it's literally *SAND* 2 Rome, they couldn't sack it early on, which would've been a critical blow to the Romans as that would be their main population space 2nd to Romania 3 Greek Mountains, Much like Russia's frozen lands, the west of the Balkans are so mountainous it's not that profitable to conquer, when the Egyptians took it, they already lost due to the AI having a defensive trait to recently attacked territories, meaning they couldn't graze on the stone 4 Bruhhhhh Carthage, why didn't they send at least 5% of their forces on Carthage and knock them out 5 Roman port distances, Merchants can quickly go A-B as quick as possible and landing to Egyptian islands fast, meanwhile Egypt's military province powerhouses are absolutely far, 1 on Egypt, 2 in the center and north of Turkey, 3rd is the Islands of Rome, 4th is Libya, while the Romans had everything at the Balcans 6 1:50 this alone caused Egypt's supply for Greece to decrease throughout the war having a crisis to fight for themselves without Egyptian ships to go into them and into the blockade, if the blockade didn't happen, Egypt could have a focused militarized force on the Green lands of Hungary, Romania, Austria; and this Greek crisis alone caused Egypt to pull back near Sicily 7 1:56 who ever gave the General in charge of the Libyan forces should execute himself in disgrace of his country, they sent their entire force into Carthage just for a legion to come, and instead of using the boats and land into Sicily, they went the long way round and try to stop the already disbanded blockade, and rollback to 1:46 why did the General decide to move their entire army into Libya, where the entire fight is happening at the other side of the water!? 8 Roman holdings of the Balkans and it's sudden quick development after Egyptian rule, when they finally came into Roman hands, they held it long enough to see it grow into a militarized state which is now absolutely too hard for Egypt to attack 9 Turkey's sandy outer regions, when they got pushed back, they were left with Sand therefore logistically, Roman economy went up due to the new lands conquered and Egyptian economy went down due to the prolonged war and lost territory 10 Ununified attacks and sense of directions, They literally spread out too much that the Romans had to devour them with synchronized attacks on each small bits One last bit 11, they did not get Corsica and Sardegna when they were spreading upwards, causing a massive lack of troop support heading to Rome itself, if they did, the Romans wouldn't have any motivation to have a navy on the west and rather on Greece well that's about it, see ya

  • honestly the libyan front was genius, the egyptian was focusing on crimea and turkey-greece, and now they have to spare some troops to hold of the libyan front. If Rome can get some troops to land on Egypt-Libys it would be game changing

  • What's a comeback ! Rome have more land, people and soldiers but great done atack from the sea maked by Egypt ended their rule. Egypt concuer Greece but after a shock Roman legions contratacked and retake lands what's will end video on remis, but then an a African legion start a series of amazing victory and end up in Egypt. I'ts a shame that's Egypt defend Asia Minor better than home land.
