I would say, instead of Charge, run Reflect as a safety precaution. I know crits don't care about defense boosts, but whenever there's not a crit, Reflect should really help, especially before he gets to use that Focus Energy.
Running a Pokemon with Unaware or Fortress can work too. Torterra can play defensively and then hit hard ignoring the crits. Gastrodon with Storm Drain is viable too but the stars are some grass types and a few electric types.
Also use shell bell

In my mind I guess to chalked up the double intimidate and unlucky crit luck to cancel each other out.

I don’t think Austin realized how key the double intimidate was. first ceaseless edge after the swords dance did over half of my Miraidon’s health, not even a crit.

Yeah I went with Osiris' strat and he had reflect turn 1 metal sound 2/3 then parabolic charge spam and metronome
@@jcdeton72crits don’t kill you in one though, so you’ll just heal right back up to full every turn no matter what, besides, Charge wouldn’t protect you from a crit either

Unfortunately for many people this is not as easy as you showed as you have two Pokémon with intimidate on your team. Without that, a lot of people are struggling.
I used an unorthodox method for online with a team. While everyone ran Miraidon, I ran Manaphy. When Samurott uses Sword Dance, I used Heart Swap, then Acid Armor, and barrage Samurott with Chill Water from there.
I did it without intimidate pokemon. You will die once after focus energy crit, thats it. Unless you are extremly unlucky with crits ofc. Just use metal sound once and then spam parabolic charge with metronom equipped. Thats it. Will take a bit longer as shown cause he uses metal sound twice but it works either way.
Shaymin sky form. Bold 252 hp 252 def evs. Giga drain seed flare worry seed. Remove ability turn 1 and then spam seed flare or giga drain depending on needs. You'll clear it every time.
Teach mirodon reflect and use turn 1

I used Meowscarada support. Max HP, Max Def, Bold with Covert Cloak and Protean ability. Moves are: Charm, Worry Seed, Chilling Water, Giga Drain. Turn 1 you Charm to get rid of Samurotts Swords Dance and to become Fairy Type so that you resist the incoming X-Scissor. After that Samurott will keep using Razor Shell on you, thats why we have Covert Cloak so that you dont get any Defense drops. Your second move to use should be Worry Seed, it replaced Samurrots ability with Insomnia aka. gets rid of Sharpness. Now you can freely spam Chilling Water and occasionally use Giga Drain to heal up.
I like running support so this might be the way
That's a good strat :o I was comtemplating between pelipper/toxapex just for stat debuffs but yours is way less risky and can definitely deal more damage
@@JCXP123 You are not the damage dealer tho, you only make sure your team doesnt die by lowering its attack. If someone dies turn 1, Samurott will bring his shield up immediately and it can be a bit more difficult.
@Nako3 Yes but giga drain will have super effective damage compared to other moves that pelipper/toxapex have (that aren't being used for debuffs).
I used leavanny with tango berry ai only use dark move at me charm charm reflect cheer def(enemy already shielded and will cancel stat for twice) after that iron def giga drain till shield break(if ally near death use cheer heal) charm 3 time(normally 2time enemy die)
For people without Miradon due to being a Violet exclusive, I've heard good things about Gogoat as well; using terrain Extender and Grassy Terrain (with hidden ability to jack up DEF), along with Horn Leech.

@@tommysawyer9680 You can try getting your second ride legendary and trading him with a trade code. I did this on Violet to get the Scarlet exclusive.
I do hope an alternative method is found. I don't have Miraidon and have missed over half of the previous 7 star event raids because of work. Love the fact you stay on top of news, even of it is a hassle.

You haven't traded your extra Koraidon yet? Austin did a video where it makes it easy to trade the Mascot Legendaries with total randoms. You can probably find guidance with a website too.
Gotta start just gettin the raids prepped on your account, just make sure theyre on the map, then just avoid connecting online until you beat the raid. I keep the 7stars on my game for weeks lmao
If you get a shaymin in the game with seed flare and worry seed it is a lot easier. That is if you dont miss too many seed flares and max seed flare out. Shell bell recovers pretty easy. Plus worry seed gets rid of sharpen.

I feel like a second attempt without a double-intimidate might've been in order but I think the 'mon choice is good at least. It looked easy enough that hopefully it doesn't too much of a difference.

Just a suggestion for 7 Star Tera Raids going forward Austin, could you run the Den 2/3 times if you win first time (you don't have to record them all) because there's been a couple of times that you do it first time because you get a lot of luck and think that it's very easy to do. This time you had 2 intimidate pokemon who negated the swords dance, but without them you'd have struggled, maybe even lost the battle and needed to rethink strategy a little bit (in this instance running reflact in the 4th slot) Yes you got hit by a couple crits, but those weren't as nasty as any +2 move coming at you first turn. Just an idea going forward to mitigate any luck from the NPC mons or anything else and give a more rounded view of how easy/hard a 7star raid den is

Getting two intimidators made your raid so easy 😭. Had one on my first try and it took a little bit longer.
Definitely. I tried basically the same built before the video and haven't got a single Intimidate user so far, which made the raid plain impossible with Miraidon
@carringtont7632 it's not overly hard to lock in your NPCs. Run normal 3-4* raids, but choose "Challenge as a group". As soon as you get the NPCs you want, beat the raid. After that, when you start new raids, as long as you choose "Challeng alone" you'll keep those same NPCs for as long as you want.

Reflect is helpful with Miraidon too. As for Scarlet, I just used Koraidon. I used Bulk Up for Defense and Breaking Swipe to lower Attack. And of course Drain Punch. And it helped immensely having two Intimidators for the NPCs.

Thanks for the guide. I also substituted Charge for reflect and dumped som extra stats into defense. I used only one metal sound and was ko'd once, no intimidates and i never set the M.S back up. However metronome plus Parabolic was broken. It kept hitting crit after crit but at that point (btw my tera was still dragon) every parabolic just healed me to full hp everytime. (My pp was 20 and by the tine it died i had like 9)
I don't how many people already completed it but this a notice to those who don't have Maraidon; You can can also use Miraidon Lite which is Bellibolt that's maxed out in HP and SP ATTK, MODEST NATURE, put Parabolic Charge while holding Metronome and it's GG from there. Hope this helped.
Thanks (I saved my event) The beginning is a bit rough… But I ended up doing better with reflect & acid spray in addition to parabolic charge and clear amulet instead of metronome because of the early onslaught of boosted attack and the stat lowering stuff

This pretty much what I did. I used the shell bell, metal sound and electro drift. Got on my third attempt. Probably would’ve had it soon but there was an arboliva that kept removing my electric terrain.

Thanks to you, got this in one try with offline NPCs and plenty of time to spare. One of the NPCs used Intimidate, but another one also frequently used Burn. For my Miraidon, I also gave it a Modest Mint for a stats boost and a Shell Bell so Electro Drift would also restore some HP instead of having to rely on Parabolic Charge (which restored a massive amount of it).

Got it on my second try with one Intimidate NPC! I had to improvise a bit by using only one Metal Sound, since Samurott was still hitting like a truck, and then spamming nothing but Parabolic Charge from then on (tera when possible). Thank you once again for helping solo players clear these!

I used Reflect for the 4th move slot and threw it down at the start and once more after the 1st one was up; that helped tremendously with surviving early hits in a lobby without any Intimidaters.
Eeleltross gastric acid was a life saver, fully eliminating H. Samurott sharpness ability and avoiding bulldoze with levitate while acid spraying and giga draining until the win.
even without the 2 intimidates you can still get it done quite easily with Miraidon, I died 2 times but still did it with a bit of time remaining

First day of this raid, my partner, with who I played through the entire game plus Teal Mask, and I finished training up our Miraidons and took it down flawlessly on our first attempt. I had my Miraidon hold a magnet, I don't remember what his had. But I won't be forgetting the absolute joy radiating off of him when we took down our first seven-star raid with just the two of us anytime soon.

Great build - I was able to solo on my first try without a double intimidate. Ran with my Miraidon holding Air Balloon - definitely a huge help to not get hit by the early bulldoze.
Air Balloon didn't work for me. NPCs always start with cheers, so I'd get hit with Ceaseless Edge before Bulldoze. I think a Shell Bell strategy would work better.

I did this but I gave Miraidon an electric seed to boost his defence when his ability activated, I also got lucky because I had a Tauros in my group but yes anything that lowers its attack is a must.
I had pretty consistent success with Appletun. Running Max Defense or Health didn't seem to matter much, most important thing was to get an Intimidate on your NPC help so you can set up a reflect. From there, just Apple Acid to win and Giga Drain as necessary (Shell Bell)
Really appreciate this comment. I beat it first try with the Appletun build from a past raid event, simply replaced Recover with Reflect. 😊
For anyone else having issues reflect basically makes or breaks it. Having reflect soften the damage really helps, especially whenever ceasless edge deals massive damage. Also the odds of getting 2 intimate pokemon isn’t very high. You can get one without much difficulty but 2 is difficult

Used Chesnaught for the raid, it is really good! It's high defense means Samurott is doing no damage to you, then you just Belly drum and seed bomb with a shell bell.

As someone who loves Hisuian Samurott, I'm very happy with this raid. Not only does H. Samurott have a good ability with fitting moves and a Tera type that is similar to its regular typing (I love Pokemon who have similar Tera types with their regular typing), it's a very easy raid. I used the same strategy as this video and got mine in just a few minutes. Very fun 😊
Finally, a 7 Star raid where my Mascot Legendary of Choice won't get clapped. Though double Intimidate seemed like a real carry, something to think about going in with this. Update: This build works, but I recommend replacing Charge with Reflect and set that up immediately. The stronger your start with the Raid, the less of a fumble it'll be if you mess up near the end.
I figured this strategy out the same night that Hisuian Samurott came out, I figured with his Sp Def stat being what it is that using a Sp Attacker would be best, and Miraidon just fit the bill easily, I used both Metronome and Shell bell on different playthroughs and found that Metronome is the best item. Like you said this one was easy compared to the others we've had lately
If Metronome isn't working out for you and you need more hp gain, you can use Big Root to recover more hp
Would shell bell heal stacks? Wouldn't it be better especially with parabolic charge?
@diceonrice no. Shell bell health recovery only heal based on the damage you do where as big root allows you to recover more health base on drainage. In short, you can invest in less bulk and go hard hitting while staying healthy regardless of damage.
Iron Bundle did great support for this raid. Electric Terrain, Chilling Water, and Freeze Dry to stall for the KO. Jolteon w/ Charm is a close second also.
I used your build for the terra raid. Only I used shell bell instead of metronome for the extra healing power. Got it first try

Got it in one try with this one! I used reflect, 2 metal sounds, then parabolic charge until its shield went down. Then another metal sound and keep hitting with the parabolic charges. The AI mon had pressure and intimidate and had paralyzed Samurott as well. I equipped it with a metronome
Double Intimidate is really a game changer, without that it's a lot more difficult. Luckily it can still be done if you can get one team member that has it, I got one on my second try. Still a bit tough, I got KO'd but managed to get it.
That battle transition with the music was sick lol
The intimidate after each appearance is so important. I tried the run, and was until I got a staraptor that i could do the run, =)
I used a clodsire for support with water absorb. Teach it chilling water ,acid spray , haze and helping hand. I didn't use haze much but the other three moves help a lot.
So here's how I got it playing support. •Clodsire with Water Absorb • Holding an Air Balloon • Knows Haze, Curse, Acid Spray, and Recover Haze on Turn 1 as you'll be immune to his Bulldoze/Razor Shell and he'll eliminate the party's stat increases as well. Since it's a universal status effect, it'll even get him after shielding. Plus it can remove the spikes from his Ceaseless Edge. Then do Acid Spray until his Special Defense is -6 stages. Then use Curse and Recover to stay alive while the Miraidons lay on him.
Support Clodsire with Water absorb. Moves are mud-slap, acid spray, chilling water, and helping hand

I have mine holding a Shell Bell too which helped a ton. I was able to win without it, but it was a game changer if I had unlucky crits and coms.
Strategy worked! But I had to use my mount Miraidon (so stuck with a Dragon Tera one). I used more Parabolic Charge compared to Electro Drift.
I did it first try with Miraidon, one metal sound then spam parabolic charge with metronome. For grinding this raid though Sky form Shaymin makes it even easier, (worry seed first turn then spam seed flare holding shell bell) 👍

Saw another setup where the Miraidon had Reflect which he set up 1st turn and then 2 Metal sounds before going all in on Parabolic Charge while holding a Metronome. He had another setup for a Gogoat that he showed but didn't show actually fighting but the key thing was having Gogoat's hidden ability Grass Pelt, a Terrain Extender to get 8 rounds outta the Grassy Terrain you'd set up and then going in with Mega Horn for damage and draining. It was specked in Defense and Special Attack iirc that one correctly...I know it was maxed out physical Defense.
I used Appleton with apple acid and giga drain. I also had recover and iron defense but didn't have to use them. 252 sp atk 252 def. 1st try and I cleared the raid solo

A good held item is bright powder. Maybe 30% of the time his attacks miss you which is key because we don't get 2 intimates

Man I'm bummed i missed this event. Took a break from the game after the last Typhlosion raid since i had most of the shinies i wanted save for a few Violet exclusive ones. Hopefully they run this one again soon. Thought I'd be safe for awhile since i just got the game a few months back and had only experienced two of the 7 star exclusives. Got too sucked into Witcher 3 and now Dark Souls lol. Gonna have to remember to hop on Scarlet every few weeks just to check. I even had a Miriadon ready with this exact setup and moveset!
Here’s how I easily soloed, without intimidates too: Shaymin-Sky @ Grassy Seed Ability: Serene Grace Tera Type: Grass EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Grassy Terrain - Worry Seed - Seed Flare - Giga Drain Turn 1: Worry Seed to negate Sharpness Turn 2: Grassy Terrain to activate Grassy Seed and boost grass moves Turn +3: Use Seed Flair at full HP to harshly lower special defense, Use Giga Drain to gain back HP, Use Grassy Terrain as needed. Even as Tera Grass, Samurott’s X-Scissor critical hits won’t kill. Edit: You could probably use Shell Bell too if you wanted, but I think Giga Drain is more than enough healing. And the most annoying part of using this build online is that EVERYONE is using Miraidon so your Grassy Terrain will constantly get canceled.
I was successful with bellibolt (and 1 intimidator on my team). Reflect, acid spray, and parabolic charge. You have to accept fainting at the beginning but i was able to get it first try
I got it first try and solo’d with Miraidon Metal Sound, Parabolic Charge, Relfect Relfect Turn 1 Metal Sound Turn 2-3 Spam Parabolic Charge Turn 4+ You can use a Metronome To Help
I like Charge Beam over Charge. It may not do tremendous damage, but it is an attack that will get you to Terastalize sooner, and it raises Special Attack each time.

Literally did this with Appletun that I used on chestnaught. Moves are apple acid giga drain recover and iron defense. I believe 252 hp and 252 sp atk. Didn't use an item. Took 2 attempts. This strategy is extremely easier than mine though.
My partner and I got rolled doing this together, because metal sounds werent hitting, and no intimidate mons. But we did it second go with an intimidate mon, and our metal sounds actually connecting. One of us reflecting turn 1
First few attempts Miraidon got smeared across the floor, and then it just worked. A ceaseless edge either missed or just didn't go off.
Since its looks charge isn't necessary, it could be good to replace it with taunt if miraidon can learn it

I was able to solo with a max hp/max special atk bellibolt with water tera, holding shell bell.The nature didnt really matter, mine is bold. Only had one ai partner with intimidate but he was clutch. Then it was acid spray/parabolic charge foe the win, with thodd chilling water to help keep the edge off its atks.
I found that spamming metal sound until miraidon dies then spam parabolic charge holding metronome works 100% of the time
Austin love the video as always! Dope to see your approach and strategy towards the raids especially 7-Star ones. I surprisingly got this Hisuian Samurott on my FIRST try! Also the first time I ever beat a 7-Star Raid on first attempt lol. I used Miraidon - Held Item: Magnet - I started off using Metal Sound before its shield went up! Bouncing back and forth with Parabolic Charge and Electro Drift! A fun one indeed! Hope to see more content soon!
I used Tera Fighting Mirror Armor Corviknight with a Shell Bell for this and it went really well. Run Max Hp Max Defense Impish with Iron Defense, Screech, Body Press and Roost. Use Screech 2 times in the beginning and let yourself go down, then get 2 or 3 Iron Defenses up when you revive. Body Press 3 times to get your tera going, then just Body Press away, resetting your Screeches or Iron Defenses as needed. The Mirror Armor will make Samurott debuff itself will Razor Shell and then after 2 Iron Defenses it will switch to Sacred Sword which will really help you avoid getting crit. If you get a partner with Intimidate or something to paralyze it then it becomes extremely consistent.
I used Koraidon with Breaking Swipe, Drain Punch, Swords Dance, and Screech, holding Covert Cloak to prevent def drops. First Screech twice, then Breaking Swipe til he nullifies your stats. Then use Swords Dance and Drajn Punch to recover / Breaking Swipe if you’re high HP. Tera to break shield… it is important to get shield down before you die of your Tera. Once he gets to 50% and uses focus energy, you will swords Dance and Drain Punch to recover his Crits (or use Breaking Swipe when he doesn’t crit). Beat him with some Time left
I think intimidate really is key here, I played online about 6 or 7 times with other humans and no luck (one try was even with all 4 of us using miraidon) then I tried solo and had one mon with intimidate, used reflect and metal sound once and beat it my first try
I just followed the instructions at 4:39 in my Miraidon who was already EV trained to those specs from a previous raid, and took him down solo quickly and in one try. My health was low on the last turn, so I think I had some luck on my side, I think I got one or two defense debuffers/intimidate. Looks like it might be a good raid for farming with Miraidon if you hate more tedious raids.
Do you have a list as in your video used where in you work the durability in totk but with Shields and bow's
I beat the Samurott on my 2nd attempt. I used Metal Sound on the first turn, then used Parabolic Charge a couple times, then Electro Drift, then finished it off with the same move.
I used Appletun iron def, gigadrain, recover and Apple Acid EV: 252 Hp. 252 Def. 6 EspAtk Friend Satarraptor with intimidate and GG, more slow but great if you dont have Miraidon
I used Quagsire as a support mon! I used Haze turn 1 to remove the SD and then I would spam mud slap to lower accuracy so my friends’ Miraidons and Chesnaughts could do damage without getting hit Our run went super smoothly with a good amount of time left over!
I ran a support setup with Gastrodon and Storm Drain. I used Chilling Water for the whole raid to debuff Samurott's attack and allow my teamates to setup and do all the heavy damage to it. Was able to do this raid on my 2nd attempt. Here is the EVs and Moves Breakdown for my Support Gastrodon. I haven't heard anyone else mention this, but Hisuian Decidueye is a good choice if you don't have access to Miraidon due to picking scarlet version such as myself, and have completed that raid. Build around defense and attack, tera grass, held item leftovers, the moveset I had was: - feather dance - bulk up - roost - leaf blade It's not guaranteed, you may need the npcs to pull some weight for it to work via, intimidate, grassy terrain, or status to help out, but it's very much possible, and you don't even need to grind a new pokemon to level 100 given you completed the decidueye raid. Generally: turn 1-2 use feather dance (or attack/ roost turn 2 if an ally burns or has intimidate) die (or attack/ roost again) it will put up its shield after this use bulk up 2-3 times roost (or earlier if it crits you or something) leaf blade, leaf blade, leaf blade, etc. (repeat this every time samurott resets your stats) also, once the shield goes down use feather dance 1-2 times again warning: once you tera grass you will be weak to x scissor, so before you tera use roost or bulk up accordingly anyway this is a long comment, but hope it helps. Also defeating h-samurott with h-decidueye is thematically satisfying.
I used 3 miraidons and my friend used a support mew for his build which worked really well
I soloed this with Sky Shaymin. I was mid-battle before I realized I forgot to hyper train it’s SpATK. I checked afterwards and that specific IV was “Decent” but its Defense was “Best”. Turn 1: Worry Seed Turn 2-end of raid: Spam Seed Flare @max PP w/Shell Bell. I didn’t miss a single Seed Flare.
