This is part four of a four part flight from Philadelphia area, to Oklahoma City, Las Vegas, Sedona, Phoenix, and back.
In this video, I depart Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on a 101° F day. I had to continually monitor my engine oil and Cylinder head temperatures during the climb.
Enroute to Oklahoma City at 11,000 feet I use oxygen and discuss FAA oxygen altitude regulations.
The landing at University of Oklahoma Westheimer is a night landing. I never filmed a night landing before, and quickly learned I needed to use a red flashlight to illuminate my face as at night, the rear facing cameras are just black!
On the final trip back to my home airport near Philadelphia Pennsylvania I avoided some precipitation that was in my original route. I discuss some of the features that ADSB FIS-B weather in ForeFlight can provide a pilot in flight to help determine precipitation and icing hazards.
Lastly, I end the flight at my home airport in Chester County Pennsylvania, concluding this four part flight video series.

  • It's great to see you making flying videos again. Keep them coming. The XC coast to coast with your pops was great.

  • Really appreciate these videos; am in the process of getting my PPL and they're so informative. Night flying and instrumentation will be next on my list. Looking forward to your next videos, thanks once again!

  • Great flight. The Barons are great planes. The ones I have been in have the Prop and Manifold reversed and can be a little confusing because we have a PA32 6/260 and ours is standard like yours. Enjoyed the video

    • Baron B58’s had the throttle quadrant changed to the traditional throttle, prop, mixture configuration in 1984. So all Barons built after this date have the traditional setup.

    • @@firepilot109 the GoPros are the easy part. Editing a five camera shoot can easily take as long as the flight itself so it takes some skill with a non-linear editing program.
