  • I grew up Blue. I remember watching LT as a kid and how electrifying he made everything. The guy made football exciting for NY fans from the standstill it had been leading up to him. I started to think of LT as the monster from the Alien movies. His speed, approach and aggressiveness were frightening. If you watch him, from snap he pursues at a constant shallow angle to the field as if he is about to make a tackle and plays that way to point of contact. At no point does he let up or become even remotely vertical. Tough as nails - he went into each and every play like he was going to own it. Both of my sons played primarily D in their pee wee and HS days, and it always exciting whenever they were lucky enough to pull "56" from the jersey pool.
