  • I love Chris' voice. He definitely deserved way more recognition. His high notes are perfection.

  • I love that the band came together because of their voices. When they scouted for the members, they looked for the "voice" that will fit perfectly into the group. It's like their looks just came as a bonus. They happen to be all cute boys.

    • @@jewel77jewel14BSB had more soloists to choose from, yes, but NSYNC was a true vocal Harmony group, much like Boyz II Men or Take 6. BSB were obviously given overall better songs, but in hindsight, NSYNC getting leftovers forced them to become better song writers and producers to their own music which in turn evolved their sound to essentially create a new form of music genre of Pop-R&B hip hop, while BSB strictly remained stagnant and Pop. Also, when you factor in their overall performances, not just singing alone but how they creatively utilized the stage w/out relying too much on theatrics (like tons of backup dancers to help carry their shows like other artists) AND given how JC is often credited as the Best Male Vocalist to come out of ANY boyband, how can you objectively say BSB is better than NSYNC overall? BSB may be your more favorite band, and there’s nothing wrong w/that because they have a lot of memorable catchy songs, but NSYNC overall are the better talent when you compare the two groups objectively.

      @wegotit2587@wegotit258720 күн бұрын
    • @@wegotit2587The credit given forJC is mainly from Nsync's fan...It's funny how you always say it like it's something official 🤣...He is great but people need to relax about this statement. Nsync didn't have crappier song than Bsb it's just that Backstreet sings better, they are really good to express every kind of emotions and have way more tools. Even if they 're not five part harmony, they still are a solid vocal harmony group. Bsb didn't just made Pop, they have Rnb, Pop-Country and Hip hop aswell in their first 3/4 albums, they were the first to work with the Neptunes for example Britney and Nsync follow them later. The "new form of music" created by *Nsync that you mentionned is just bouncy stuff that fastly sounded really outdated ...songs like space cowboy, digital get down, it makes me ill ect aged like milk unlike the classic sound that Bsb have produced at the same period of time. Like i said Nsync are better performers but BSB have a better catalog of songs and they're vocally better imo.

    • @@jewel77jewel14 You naming side projects they do on their own terms doesn’t count and just because they keep performing, doesn’t mean they are better. When you compare them pound for pound, NSYNC is cohesive, they have tighter harmonies and a rounded sound which becomes more evidenced when you hear them sing acapella versus Backstreet’s acapella, which at best is either pretty good, but never consistent, for example Howie jumping around losing his place and singing other people’s parts. When you listen to Backstreet, all you really hear are four Tenors and a Baritone. The only other vocal group as close to NSYNC that has a complete harmonic sound structure (that is consistent) is Pentatonix. NSYNC is truly remarkable because Chris Kirkpatrick’s Countertenor and Lance’ Bass makes all the difference.

      @wegotit2587@wegotit258720 күн бұрын
    • @@wegotit2587 Where did i mentionned side projets? I'm talking about BSB 1997-2002 Era... I did not mentionned that they're better because they're still together either. For me it's not valid point. Yes *Nsync have a rounded sound but individually they are weaker, that's why the other 3 don't have solo in songs. Some of them are good at blending but are not really great singers. BSB may sound less rounded but their sound is more colored and has more flavour because it's just a group of better singers that why i said that they have more tools ... They'revnot just a group which blend well together. For example a song like Paradise sounds very flat, yes it has good harmonies but it never take off...BSB would killed that song and elevate it to another level with their abilities. Agree to disagree.

It's all marketing and playing favorites.

The Backstreet Boys are and were extremely dedicated to their music, although they still need to make a damn Christmas album Lol 3. Justin Timberlake is and always was a tremendous talent. Most Nsync fans are just butt hurt that Nsync did not get back together, with or without him, myself included. 4. The New Kids on the Block inspired Lou Pearlman to get into the whole boyband business and basically inspired The Backstreet Boys, and everybody else who came after.

  • What I admired about MMC is that The Children were expected to stay on top of hteir Academics. Annette Funicello could attest to that fact. JC apparently tried to create a Girlband called Girl Radical and he apparently wrote songs for The UK Girlband Girls Aloud but don't quote me. When "Gone" was released, I knew that it was the coronation of his Career of being a Superstar. Even when they made the Cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, he was right in front.

  • I didn't know that Lance had aspirations of going into space! He kept his big dream alive! You can technically say that this is what caused the group to take a break. Everyone says it was Justin wanting to go solo, but you can't fault Lance for wanting to pursue his dream!

    @cyndigirl418@cyndigirl4183 жыл бұрын
    • Well people keep criticizing just promoted to go solo but newsflash he had that dream and he should follow that dream you don’t know if you can make it or not and even if I didn’t work out will have to remember you might love and think of the whole band but newsflash they all had individual dreams and you only live once and you have to live once and you Gotta make your life count and go for your dreams

      @tammiepage6489@tammiepage64893 жыл бұрын
    • Lance didn't decide to pursue the dream until Justin requested the 6 month break, and he scheduled the training and worked his ass off to finish it in double the time so it would be done by the end of that 6 month break and not interfere with the band. He ended up not going to space partly because of that. It was Justin that told everyone after the break that he wanted another 6 months to keep working on his album, and then eventually told them he wasn't coming back. They were waiting on him and then all willing to go on without him except Chris, who didn't want to go on without all 5 members. Read Lance's book.

  • Lance’s documentary about Lou Pearlman is way more accurate. At least you hear from the actual band members how they came to be & it all had to do with a greedy manager, not because they thought they could outdo BSB lmao. It’s way grittier and more disturbing

    @sherriewhite7509@sherriewhite75093 жыл бұрын
    • In their first album cover, JC was in the middle...but I think they knew that Justin was becoming the most popular and JC, from what I heard about him, do not really care and have that big of an ego.

      @PungiFungi@PungiFungi3 жыл бұрын
    • This is not a good representation. It's just the pics they used. I was a huge fan back then and they definitely had posters where it alternated between JT and JC in the middle, sometimes even Joey. For the documentary they probably chose those since JT is the most well-known now. It also doesn't mean as much when you consider that Kevin Richardson stands in the middle of BSB pics more than half the time as the others.
