I remember when I was riding my motorcycle, a 1981 Yamaha IT125, I wanted to form a biker club, but only for all the locals also with dirt bikes. We were inspired by a California dirt bike club that went by the name, Hells Rice Burners. It was just riding dirt bikes, drinking beer, and listening to bands like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. Our parties were always getting busted up by the police. It only lasted a year or two, but we had the time of our lives. Fortunately this was before the internet destroyed social life for everyone.

In San Antonio I had a friend that was a mechanic for la EME. After I confronted 4 fellow Colombians in a bar and they chickened my friend was telling me to go and hang out with him in his shop because he wanted to introduce me to some people. No that's not how you get started, LA EMA selects the cream of the crop prospects from members of street gangs who usually have been actively gangbanging for some 20 years and served prison time. The prospect must also bury there bones (commit murder for the cause), must also be able to generate street revenue, and have a clean wrap sheet as a surenos. Now this is just the minimum standard to be consider, not to mention the competition from other top gang members aiming for the open position that only occurs once every 5 to 10 years. A lot of different versions but what I've heard, they were green lit and folded. Former Surenos were given 24 hours after a deal was negotiated and they piled their jackets high at the Mongols clubhouse. But is wasn't much of a deal. The Mongols paid a monetary fine - larger than they let out, as cover to save face - and told to kill their former leader Doc. Mongols hesitated and Eme even offered to do for them. Instead, they let a rat live so they look like punks. Essentially, whatever the leniency the Eme had formerly afforded them disappeared - they're now another gang under the thumb of the Eme. The violent MS-13 pays a tax (and allegedly tattooed over their own patch) so don't think the Mongols stood their ground. The Mongols got to the documentaries to spin a different story. Eme doesn't care, they have 20K gang members and the prison system locked down: they would annihilate the Mongols.

I'd imagine that there's some moto riders watching this and I've got a question for ye, every time I encounter groups of riders out on the highway there's always at least 1 guy riding either on the center divider line or very close to center and I always wonder why. What's the purpose of taking that risk? All it takes is one distracted driver to drift over into the oncoming lane at the wrong time and you're totally screwed...why do you guys squeeze oncoming vehicles like that? This isn't me trying to make you look dumb either I'm asking a legitimate question here...and I hope to get a response from someone that knows what the hell they're talking about. I used to ride a sport bike so I might be qualified to answer this. The middle of the road is where the least amount of oil and other fluids from car engines is. The middle is also the high ground when its raining. It is also safe to say the least amount of rogue gravel is in the middle. Whenever the road surface is wet, you will see bikes hugging the middle to avoid slick oily patches and/or loose pebbles that get kicked up when a car skirts the shoulder of the road. We were actually taught this in class to get our motorcycle endorsement. I know it just seems like bikers are being cocky and endangering other motorists, and I'm sure some are and do, but there is a method to the madness. Hope this answers your question.

The lead rider is the “road captain” he is in charge and everyone riding follows him. He sets the pace and signals to other riders about road hazards, turns, etc… so he has to be in a position to be noticed. Also, as the previous commenter stated, it’s actually the best place to ride. Less debris, less oil, more visible to on coming traffic, easier to see from the back of a pack. Plus, it’s really important to see the lead guy if the pack is riding fast and tight.

Ok so this was a strou about this told me me I won't say by who, the mc's club ouse got shot up and the next day they were out inspecting the damage when they spotted a car with two guys looking over . He said they were close but not close enough to confront he went on to say after a littke bit a kid like maybe 10 or 11 rides up on a bike, no big deal they're still more interested in the car and wondering what that's about. He said then all of the sudden there's maybe 6 or 7 kids on bike and you can see that every one of them had guns under their shirts he said the kids talked to each other but wouldn't respond to them at all then the car drove away and the kids left. He told me " I won't use the word scared because we don't use that word, but we all had the feeling that we were involved with something bigger than we thought "

I remember when I was riding my motorcycle, a 1981 Yamaha IT125, I wanted to form a biker club, but only for all the locals also with dirt bikes. We were inspired by a California dirt bike club that went by the name, Hells Rice Burners. It was just riding dirt bikes, drinking beer, and listening to bands like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. Our parties were always getting busted up by the police. It only lasted a year or two, but we had the time of our lives. Fortunately this was before the internet destroyed social life for everyone.

In San Antonio I had a friend that was a mechanic for la EME. After I confronted 4 fellow Colombians in a bar and they chickened my friend was telling me to go and hang out with him in his shop because he wanted to introduce me to some people. No that's not how you get started, LA EMA selects the cream of the crop prospects from members of street gangs who usually have been actively gangbanging for some 20 years and served prison time. Former Surenos were given 24 hours after a deal was negotiated and they piled their jackets high at the Mongols clubhouse. But is wasn't much of a deal. The Mongols paid a monetary fine - larger than they let out, as cover to save face - and told to kill their former leader Doc. Mongols hesitated and Eme even offered to do for them. Instead, they let a rat live so they look like punks. Essentially, whatever the leniency the Eme had formerly afforded them disappeared - they're now another gang under the thumb of the Eme. The violent MS-13 pays a tax (and allegedly tattooed over their own patch) so don't think the Mongols stood their ground. The Mongols got to the documentaries to spin a different story. Eme doesn't care, they have 20K gang members and the prison system locked down: they would annihilate the Mongols.

I'd imagine that there's some moto riders watching this and I've got a question for ye, every time I encounter groups of riders out on the highway there's always at least 1 guy riding either on the center divider line or very close to center and I always wonder why. What's the purpose of taking that risk? All it takes is one distracted driver to drift over into the oncoming lane at the wrong time and you're totally screwed...why do you guys squeeze oncoming vehicles like that? This isn't me trying to make you look dumb either I'm asking a legitimate question here...and I hope to get a response from someone that knows what the hell they're talking about. I used to ride a sport bike so I might be qualified to answer this. The middle of the road is where the least amount of oil and other fluids from car engines is. The middle is also the high ground when its raining. It is also safe to say the least amount of rogue gravel is in the middle. Whenever the road surface is wet, you will see bikes hugging the middle to avoid slick oily patches and/or loose pebbles that get kicked up when a car skirts the shoulder of the road. We were actually taught this in class to get our motorcycle endorsement. I know it just seems like bikers are being cocky and endangering other motorists, and I'm sure some are and do, but there is a method to the madness. Hope this answers your question.

The lead rider is the “road captain” he is in charge and everyone riding follows him. He sets the pace and signals to other riders about road hazards, turns, etc… so he has to be in a position to be noticed. Also, as the previous commenter stated, it’s actually the best place to ride. Less debris, less oil, more visible to on coming traffic, easier to see from the back of a pack. Plus, it’s really important to see the lead guy if the pack is riding fast and tight.
