Two of the most underrated boxers of all time. Two of the best of their generation. Pavlik without addiction problems would have been amazing and Sergio arrived a little older but still managed to be one of the best middleweights in history.
Martinez is definitely the most underrated middleweight ever. He ruled that division from 2010 to 2014. He belongs in the hall of fame. This is a classic fight 👏
Much respect to Maravilla! Here’s a guy who was a cyclist but undertook boxing seriously and became an underrated middleweight fighter and champion!
He did have a very impressive run From 2010 -2014 Shame it was a short career His first 45 pro fights were literally against nobodys other than Margarito

Somehow, these two greats seemed to have come and gone too quickly-- or maybe it's just me. Or maybe it's because their reigns at the top of middleweight boxing weren't so long-lasting. But I agree with another commenter that these two were historic middlweights, and excellent, both of them.

Pavlik was excellent but he was kinda mechanical and Martinez was all wrong for him.
Martinez was my favorite middleweight since around this time I was in boxing and finally following the sport. Such a shame his knee gave out and he had to retire off a catch weight king in cotto
