Honestly, as long as you use it like an arc thrower (with thorns like MC) youll be ight. Just make sure no teammates are within your frontal radius and to shoot far enough away that it wont hurt you! (Thorns) I actually have quite enjoyed the liberty of the thing.

It really isn’t, but maybe if all you’ve been playing for years have been titles like CoD, Destiny, etc., then I can understand how people can feel this way. But, even within its own genre of co-op shooters, DRG has been doing this and more for over 6 years and they’re just one example

in the short 2 days Airburst-rocket existed it managed to top mortar, eagle cluster and 380 in team-killing potential. Thats quite the achievement

what would you even get if you add a cluster hand rocket launcher in game wheres enemy come to you in hordes at range 5-60m instead of sitting in trench or defence builds. Theres no reason to use cluster weapon in those circumstances.
They need to fix the suddenly randomly going back to ship bug that just makes you leave, no warning, no kicking, no host leaving. I find it funny the most of the time I destroy gunship fabricator this happen
Potential solution for kicking, on the destroyer the host can kick as normal. Once planetside a majority vote is required to kick.

Nah you have a problem then be squad leader . It's their squad , so if you disagree then leave them .
This would be an elegant solution, just needing a 2nd person to agree makes trolling a lot harder

We need an buff in some weapons like liberator penetrator, liberator concussive, BR14 adjudicator, HMG

all of the liberators need buffs, the base liberator is just the sickle with a limited mag and slower rof

8:20 this happened to my squad and my internet went out while I was in the extraction waiting for my team to get in and they had the super samples and I ended leaving with almost nothing😭
I learned the hard way… if you don’t have samples then don’t get on first. Especially on planets that have the fire tornados lol

I kicked a dude as the Pelican was landing - he started team-killing, turned and started firing at me as I was moving, I heal and he reloads, runs up and one shots me. Hell yeah I kicked that dude.
Well I’m glad you did that but the issue is people are wasting 40-60 minutes of their time for nothing. I’m glad they’re putting their foot down, if a lot of people wanna be trolls with the freedom they’re given then shit like this is gonna happen.
Unfortunately there will always be D***heads and they will never mature so learn to boot and remove people from your potential matching groups. I’ve had to kick a ton of people from my parties because for some reason there are many trolls running level 9. Level 7 seems to be the sweet spot for genuine try hard players. It’s rare I will come across genuine players for a helldive the kicking issue is a huge problem but that’s why you should host your own lobbies that’s the only real way to fix it. Be in control.

That airburst missile is really touchy. Needing a clear line of site and no trees or rocks. But its so damn fun 🌎🌎
You know what we need we need to have a mode to play where we board the bots ships and make our way through the ship to the terminal and destroy the ship.

I've only been kicked once most of the time I get dropped (lose connection to host) or I become the host and everyone else gets dropped has this happened to anyone else

Erupter mags definitely reduced. I have yet to reach 6 mags left before i get a re-ammo.

I can count the times I ran out of ammo with the eruptor on my hands. Scratch that I don't even need hands because it's 0.

The idea to stop the party leader from kicking players is absolutely asinine and they absolutely should not change this. There are plenty of valid reasons to kick someone, if youre having problems with party leaders being jerks, just make your own party
A vote to kick system wouldn't be a bad idea, though. There should be no kicking whatsoever in the last 5 minutes of a mission. I've been kicked because we ran out of reinforcements and I was the last one alive on site waiting for the exfil to get there. Either that, or reward you what you would've gotten had the game ended.
I joined in late game with 3 other players. Helped them tremendously toward the LZ. As soon as the coast was clear and the drop ship was almost there the host kicked me. I suppose I didnt "earn" their share of the goodies. That's a cock smoker move for sure.
I dont agree. It should be decided before the mission starts not anytime during. Also the mechanic to allow a party member to shoot and kill another party member as they are sitting inside the pelican jet should also be removed. This is really no different than if the host were to kick you since you are treated as Failed To Extract since you've died.
I could agree but than again it forces people to communicate instead of just kicking out of assumptions of the player not being able to cooperate or just leave if asked if it was supposed to be a private party. May bring the community together more.
I agree, this should not change right now. The thing about the kicking problem is if you arent able to kick someone, they get free reign to grief you at any moment with no repercussions. Its a complicated problem, I'd say they could use a system like Halo where if you TK too many times you become eligible to be kicked but I dont think HDII's hit detection for what actually killed you is not* very accurate. There are also a lot of other ways to grief that arent team killing like intentionally losing samples, destroying stratagems, kiting enemies, using arc weapons intentionally while the crash bug was active. edit* meant to say not very accurate

What they need to do is change it so that to kick someone requires a vote by all 4 players.

Id be ok with the shader thing just making the helmet match the body armor. Or vice versa. Just make them always color match. Still get variety. But not too far away from the uniformity of the military aspect
I dont know the only time I have seen a kick at the end was a guy using the infinite grenade glitch to mow the map down and so the random I dropped in on kicked the broken Grenadier. Or if a sample hacker joins then boot him and don’t pick up his samples but it really pushes the point when done last minute
For the kicking thing, could just make it lock it out as soon as the main objective is completed and the extract is available. Most folks are going to run the main first anyway if they're running the mission with any sort of plan so that way extract will be available at any point after should things start to go south... feels like that would be sort of a problem solved. You'd still have the opening of the mission just in case someone did drop in and was a complete ass but it would keep hosts that are the same from kicking people last second.

I like the way the kick works now too many times people have joined my party after I’ve already done the main objective by myself looking for the side objectives and they come in and run straight to the extraction with me even telling them what I’m doing and I still have people go and call it in.
So eruptor is definitely getting nerfed cause they brought up mag reserves but what would the other nerf be for? Quasar is the only thing I can think of.
I like the new airburst rocket launcher, but when it detonates early like that it gets irritating, and I had a feeling it was a bug
There are situations where I'm with a group of friends and for whatever reason our host forgot to turn friends only on. And we'll get a rando, and the problem is we may be starting a mission well expecting another friend to join in part way because they couldn't start at the same time as us. Adults with lives, and all of that. They should implement an "Honorable" and a "Dishonorable" kick system, where you give people a thumbs up or a thumbs down when you kick them. Give a player a thumbs up to signify that you goofed, or that you aren't kicking them for any bad reason, and the kicked player gets the mission medals, requisition, and XP that the players would have gotten as a good faith reward if the host party completes the mission (and a little message that says something like "your fellow hell-divers have succeeded in the war effort, and have shared the spoiled of victory" so you know how you got the loot). Thumbs down kicks can act as an avoid for 24 hours. That'll let people know if they did something to anger the party leader/group. Give people a limited amount of each per hour so you can't abuse it, and make it so you can't honorably kick people on the friends list of anyone in the group so you can't abuse afk resource farming.
It’d be cool if you could change the air burst rocket between impact activation and proximity activation.
The ability to not be able to kick ppl works both ways, what if a troll joins and only trolls in the immunity time window. Of anything, a lot of weapons need slight buffs, I don't think anything needs a nerf atm. But yeah, squads asking for ppl to join should be stuck with whoever they get; even if it's a lvl 7 that somehow hot carried to helldiver difficulty lol

yesterday i played three games two were good but in the last one in the end game before the countdown to exfil started my teamates started leaving one after the other and last me the host crashed
Eruptor mag size reduced incoming. I've never run out of ammo using the eruptor lmao. Never since equipping it. Guaranteed that's what's being nerfed. Every other primary that I use runs out of ammo so quickly.

while i get kicking people while in a mission can be a problem i also have had a time where i felt i needed to kick someone for trolling me. if they are going to remove the ability to kick people i fell they would have to remove the friendly fire from the game and i really dont want to lose the friendly fire because it make the game much more realistic and exciting as long as people are not intentionally thrown airstrikes on top of you
So no one still talking about helldivers adding dogs to carry more ammo it shows it in the beginning of the opening credits left lower hand side playing with a kid
Although I really want the rail gun to get some love, I think it can still do certain things really well. I’ve been testing it in higher difficulties against bugs, and I’ve noticed it’s insanely good at stun locking bile/nursing spewers, as well as a 1-2 shot kill on medium armoured enemies. All in safe mode. Against chargers/bile titans you gotta toggle into unsafe, and it can 3 shot a charger in the head if charged up to the max. Since the slug had its stagger nerfed, I feel the railgun could fill that role. Assuming other people have bile titan support weapons. Great video as always!
for some reason it makes me real uneasy hearing that they are reducing mag count for 2 weapons... that better not be the ones i am using, i keep running out of ammo as it is. i feel like the mag count needs to go UP for pretty much all weapons. what weapons do you feel have realistically too much ammo?

I've been learning how to use the new air-burst, once you get a hang of it and remember the huge minimum engaging distance that thing shreds bugs. 🌍
you'd use a lot less ammo on the Breaker Incendiary if you set all your targets alight and then stopped firing at them until an enemy presents itself that's not on fire 🌎
i had a similar experience a few weeks ago. I was playing Bug 7 with an SOS down. I was completing objectives and collecting samples and was finishing the last side objective before going to the pelican. During this time 3 randoms joined and kept setting off bug breaches and killing off the reinforcements and since i was on the other side of the map there weren't very happy. I finished the last side objective completing the map with all samples obtained and as i reached the pelican site i was kicked from the group. Not a DC or Error, You were kicked from the squad. One of the 3 randoms became host when they joined and bounced me out of my own mission losing all samples and wasting nearly an hour of my time. I was so pissed off i took the weekend off the game cause that shit was messed up. I really hope they change the kick option or remove it outright. I can deal with people griefing in game by dropping them at the pelican so they don't tpk the squad at the end but to be kicked from a mission i initiated is wrong.

If the cutscene triggers of the pelican leaving you get the mission reward anyway. Even if you've been kicked.
Hopefully they Buff the Railgun. No one uses the Railgun anymore. It deserves love
Railgun has some use against bots, but it definitely need some love

The railgun is absolutely still used and very viable against bots. Just because you dont use it doesnt mean other people dont. And most people just read that its "bad" on reddit and dont have the brain capacity to use it for themselves. Stop trying to persuade the devs to change something that is just down to a skill issue. Get good. Edit: level 102 and i play 9 on bots and bugs.
Had a player walk me through level 7 difficulty, no deaths, objectives complete, headed to extraction, he died once after calling extraction and quit. Myself and 2 other helldivers who joined in after, fought tooth and nail for the extract point but it being my first level 7 mission, I was woefully underprepared for the siege we encountered. The new additions to the team couldn't do much to claw back the point after the 10th hulk exhausted our stratagems.

Any word on the bot line of sight? It's impossible to fight them on the desert planet, where they can snipe you through the dust.

I like your idea of no-kick once inside the mission, but id suppose one caveat would be necessary. maybe youve got a team killing troll? granted, I've nvr encountered one, but I've heard about em. so if a player exceeds 5 player kills, then the option to kick that player becomes available. available, but not mandatory, as new players may easily benchmark this as they're learning the dmg potential n range of new strats. so a team capn can decide if it's just a case of a n00b learning the ropes, and willing to give them enough to string themselves up with, or an obvious team killing troll, who would deserve the kick, albeit I've nvr encountered one, I would want the option to get rid of them if one appeared, while safeguarding other players from getting unfairly kicked.
keep the kick option available however put a randomized timer on it or % of map objectives done. EX: if 3 or more factories/nests are destroyed and or samples picked up the player being kicked will still receive credit/xp for the mission. however if the player has 3 or more (dev's choice) confirmed teamkills they forfeit all gains if kicked

The only kick I do to people are the ones that try to kill my squad with a stratagem at extraction. I'm like nah not happening fam
By unlockable, they may mean that people who weren’t active during this order can unlock it or it may mean that it’s only available during the order and will have to be unlocked after the order timer runs out.
it will be added to the strategem list like what they did with the Mech.

Had that on a diff 4 and we spent like 35mins in a miss just to rub salt in are wound’s killed us before kicking
Easy fix for the kicking issue is votekick or a team kill kick system.
I used it when we unlocked it and it worked fine against the bugs I was trying to kill spewers but they refused to spawn
Add a manual fire mode to the spear. Keep the reticle on the target just like the recoiless. (Essentially manual override for the lock on) or enable the team to laser lock on the target with the lasers on their weapons

It needs to be a vote to kick function with needing 3 to vote the 4th out or 2 to vote the 3rd out.
Updates I want more than anything to receive 1. 1st&3rd person camera fix: Bug when switching between 1st or 3rd person for aiming reasons only to have it break, unable to aim, see your surrounding and sometime the camera will take you up into the air for an unnecessary sky view. There are fixes but having it happen(especially when you switch a lot) is still a major drag 2. Save presets for strats and equipment: I don't mind changing things up for different missions but I do have a set favorite and would like to save time by saving and loading presets before starting a 30-40min mission. This could save an extra 5+ minutes or even mistakes like picking the wrong strat or main weapon when switching between bugs to bots or vise versa. edit; I even change armor between light and medium for speed, stealth, or defensive play 3. Vehicles: Time saving with transportation, game changer, loads of fun, must I say more?

They need a vote to kick or don't allow kicking once the counter gets into the red
could do a vote system for kicks however sometimes kicks are needed. i was in a game where one dummy kept 380 barraging everything. go to place a hellbomb at gunship tower 380 call in lands close to me. go to get launch codes a 380 called next to me. on the computer launching the rocket 380 lands close to me. he gets kicked. like drop ships was called in but there was like 2 bots when he called the 380 in and there is no reason for him to throw it close to the computer im trying to use and i dont need him calling a 380 on evac nether. dude prob had like 6 team kills

@@theredsalmon612 yea i don't think he was trying to kill me as he never shot me but just really bad 380 placements. no good on the gunship tower as its best to get in and get out as fast as you can and the launch code location is always lightly guarded and i kinda need to be in the area to use the computer for the rocket. if he used it in an actual base and then i ran in that would be my fault but yea man i dont know
The air burst is way better for bugs. As long as you make sure you have clear line of sight, but they still need to tweak the targeting.

I believe the Supply Pack will get its stims removed so the upcoming Med Pack will be relevant. Also as for the magazine reductions its almost guaranteed to be the Breaker Incendiary and the Eruptor because they the most enjoyable primary guns to use right now.

The game gives me an error whenever I try buying the air burst
🌎 Me and 2 other teammates are in front of the pelican, waiting for the 4th guy to approach the pelican. I use the air burst launcher to blow up the termind group further away. It detonates few meters in front of me, killing me and my other 2 teammates. We switch to spectate the 4th guy, he was laying on the ground against a rock, guess what: ''I am stuck'' were his last words. My two teammates didn't know what just happened to them and I said ''I totally get it if you kick me, but that was me with the new rocket launcher fuck me lol'' and he said ''nah u good''. But man I was sweating because of the laughter, it was hilarious and I am glad that they could laugh about it as well. I love this game and the community. Any other toxic kid would have kicked me immediately, I am glad that 'those' are rare in this game 🌏
