Omg! Of course! This is such an honour!
Thx Ariel. Rock on!
@johnvantongeren You made 1 of the best cartoon themes ever
Wow.. thanks for the song..!!
It's an honor to compliment the talent behind this theme
The 80s: When every cartoon had an epic guitar solo.
cqtaylor hell yeah! Best comment
cqtaylor YES. Those were the days.
GOTTA LOVE THE 80'S
When cartoons were actually well drawn.
cqtaylor , ss 😏😥😥
I would like to thank the singer of this song for going as hard as he did. He could’ve easily phoned it in, thinking this just an intro to a silly cartoon few people would remember later on, but he has the conviction to take it seriously and give us a kick-ass performance that still resonates with people.
Nice compliment, Thanks! I’ve put the original version up on all the streaming services for everyone to enjoy.
@@johnvantongerenJVT Thanks for your hard work creating this song.
I think it is bizarre that in 80's/90's so many cartoons had amazing themes. Nowadays all of them sounds bad.
@fabricioazevedo2361 all of the epic songs come from a small group of people (Shuki Levi springs to mind). I think we were just super lucky to have some extraordinarily talented people at work at the time.
When an intro song to a kids cartoon series was better than a regular song played on radio nowadays, you know that something has gone wrong with the music industry.
AMEN
Exactly
@@lopesjunior8664 Absolut
You're just too lazy or inept to find contemporary good music. This intro wasn't playing on the radio either back then.
I agree...
The 80s/90s weren't perfect but my God creativity was at it's peak at the time! Risks were taken and it created a rich culture unlike today and no this isn't nostalgia or rose tinted glasses take, it is a FACT! We had it soo good back then!
It is a shame this show never took off. It had a great setting, cool characters, and a theme song that was a call to adventure. Space cowboys.
the reason it wasn't more popular was 'the saber rider and the star sheriffs', which became infinitely more popular, although the story and action was a little on the weak side; everything beside that was a little better.. from the characters, to the tune, everything was slightly better. I liked the action and envrionment in the galaxy rangers better but, ending up singing saber rider tune, liking April(to this day, the name) and wanting a red fury turbo(which, as an adult, I have a red turbo "fury racer"). The rangers were the more serious guys.. *more adult* but I really liked both series, everything considered.
@@eugenuxit’s interesting that you say Galaxy Rangers was outcompeted by a show I’ve never heard of (I’m 57, so I was definitely around when Galaxy Rangers was on air). I’m curious about this other show, since you say it’s the reason Galaxy Rangers wasn’t in production longer; but I’ve never heard anyone else even mention it and have certainly never seen so much as a 30 second ad for it, so I have to ask just how good or popular was it? I’m not trying to be antagonistic. I know tone doesn’t convey well, so I’ll explicitly lay down that I’m asking sincerely.
It's in desperate need of a continuation or maybe a reboot
@@eugenuxI prefer Galaxy Rangers over Saber Rider any day
@@eugenux Team Saber Rider here but I also liked Galaxy Rangers
How baller do you have to be to PLAY YOUR OWN THEME SONG.
I believe the proper answer is "fairly baller" :P
GI Joe did it too
@@DesslarAnd Cold Slither.
@@tellywilliams4221 If a guitar solo in the opening counts, then silverhawks did it, too :D
Back when every 80's cartoon was an epic music video with a lesson at the end. "And learning is half the battle!"
KNOWING is half the battle
@tartrazine5 the other half is extreme violence.
the bad guys always lost...but always survived to try again.
There is no better music for cartoons than the 80's ones
ikr
ALmost broke my mouse pressing the like button.
+TheKrensada Too bad that only registers the one click... they should at least make it more extreme likes for every subsequent click at least
Especially when we're REAAAADY TO LIIIKE IT AGAAAAAIN
It wasn't set to stun
"Goose, set your axe on stun" - tells you all you need to know
Is it a shame to confess that I had Tears in my Eyes during that Video? I don´t think so :-)
so get the DVD boxset
There's no shame. This cartoon shaped a part of my childhood too.
Me too - but not from sadness.
HECK NO!!! These four were so awesome!!!! **my eyes are teary typing this**
Patrick Hein And goose bump!! I loved watching this after school and weekends!!
Quite frankly this is the greatest theme song for any show. Ever!
Rivaled only by Bubblegum Crisis’ Hurricane.
@@jdgustofwinddance.7748 Was always a fan of the original Dirty Pair into as well.
@@patronus5855 my, my, my. A fellow intellectual. 🤘🏼
In cartoons...allow me to introduce you to Transformers the movie 1986 by Lion. About anime, well Pegasus fantasy takes the cake...
Well, for me it's a close second after the German intro for Captain Future. But to think that there's so many good themes out there, consistently making the top 5 of anyone is quite good (placement within the top 5 is flavours of opinion, anyways...).
Giant hamster ball drumset, double decker keytar, guitar with stun settings. Yeah, I'd say we're ready to rock.
Sorry, I missed the fact that the double decker is also manning twin double decker keyboards. One man. Two hands. Six rows of keys. And why the hell did the leader get stuck as the drummer?
dorpth Because: as the leader, he needs to provide a STEADY BEAT for the others to follow! :D
Since the drums set the tone when the song begins, they find that more suiting.
Everyone knows band hierarchy goes singer -> lead guitar -> bass -> drummer
They made an exception for this one.
This is what I call a true badass song ! "Goose, set your axe on stun"
If I'm correct that was Jerry Orbach, Detective Lennie Briscoe from Law & Order, delivering a line in a way only Jerry Orbach could. RIP.
+CRocketSlim it was him, if you get the set, they talk about some of the things he did while recording his lines.
not sure if it is made clear from the context, but those guitars were James Bond style hidden beam weapons
@@CRocketSlim and lumiere from beauty and the beast
Oh, I thought it's "set your ass on stun". I rolled on the floor laughing thinking I heard it, the first time.
Somewhere in the future Far away from here Trouble is waiting On the last frontier Into these worlds of unknown danger they ride They're the Galaxy Rangers Heroes in the sky No Guts No Glory No Pain No Gain One for all, all for one Riders on the range No Guts No Glory We're taking a stand Ready to prove it again.
Fabrício da Costa thank you so much
Are you brazilian???? I'm trying to get the lyric of the other song!!!! 😶
The villains' theme song at least had two different verses...
THANKS FOR THE LYRICS, BRO!
Thank you for the lyrics!
Even our cartoons had better music than anything they push on the kids today
I'm in my 50's now...and I loved the 80's Kids show themes..some in the 70's were great too..!
A theme song from a little remembered 80s cartoon rocks harder than any thing currently thrown out today. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE 80s!!!
What I love in 80's cartoon themes is that you don't feel it's dedicate for kids at all .. It's just like any other great song from the 80's
What a great song. Even now, after all these years it still gets the heart pumping. Thank you for uploading it.
Thanks for taking me back to the days of waking up at 7:00am, putting on my plaid school uniform, & double checking my bookbag! Thanks for bringing tears (of joy) to my eyes.
I miss 80's and some 90's cartoons there intros made sense and the episodes made you feel like being a hero not going out to buy a toy .lol.
+William Fourie Galaxy Rangers didn't have a TOY line....
(face palm)
+cartoonfan959 That's exactly what he meant. Not being commercials for toys, they focused on being good episodes.
80´s and 90´s cartoon to some extend where awesome because they were well made , mad entertaining almost like a expectacle sometimes, also they were deep as fuck, plenty of times finded myself watching some old cartoons and being surprise at the grown ass men situations that were happening sometimes that passed over my head while i was watching as a kid.
*cough cough* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and many more that were made specifically, to sell toys. But other than that, I agree. For the most part.
Movie needed for this cartoon
Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers - An awesome sci-fi cartoon from the 1980's that ran for two seasons. Still well worth watching.
OMG!!! :O
EH. No thanks. Hollywood always screw up the anime when made into the movie.
Wayne Ho It’s a American cartoon with the animation made by Japan.
Darellbefree : hell yeah
one of the greatest theme songs ever written
I am now in my late 30's and this still makes all the hairs on my body stand on ned! love this and so many other 80's cartoon themes
Oh, I hear you. Turned fourty last year, and it is the exact same here. Somehow these theme songs had more grit, were more uplifting, or just more fun. Don't get me wrong: the 90s had very good shows (X-Men Animated Series to name my all-time favourite), but the guitar intros in the 80s were just badass
I absolutely love this but I dont think it beats Saber Rider and the Star Sheriff's
@@Timrathmore Did not see that one as it was only released on VHS in the 80's with 5 episodes, there was a DVD in the 2000's but again not huge here to my knowledge, whereas Galaxy Rangers and BraveStarr were both on saturday morning TV. Might have to take a look into it IF I can find it on DVD or nick my sons crunchyroll for a week.
@@FreebirthOne i will turn 41 this year and this still gives me chills 🥰
@mechrior they aired it on TV in New Zeakand. And yeah, that Theme song's great too!
Thank you John Van Tongeren, 80"s forever.... might be drunk on VB right now
I agree. If they ever made a Live Action movie My pick for the Cast would be: Zachary Foxx - Hugh Jackman, Niko - Karen Gillan, Doc - Jamie Foxx and Shane Gooseman - Chris Hemsworth 😎
Like Gaurdians of the galaxy but more Metal…a bit like the Gaurdians video game on PS5
Think I’d trade Hemsworth 4 Scott Eastwood🤔Wha yr think?
@@CPrime86 since Goose is based on Clint Eastwood, i agree...

This should be mandatory at kindergarten.
Cant have that, they fear masculinity in boys and men
@@danieldorn2927 That's a lie and you know it. This song applies to rockin' gals as well. The thing is that times change and tastes evolve. We love this, but cartoons these days seem to rely on kids having ADHD or something how they jump from scene to scene within seconds. While you're clearly not ready to have kids with that statement, but when you do; Understand the difference, show what you like, but always encourage independence, strength of will and to do the right thing. And why am I giving tips on a KZhead video to someone who'll probably not listen? Just one of those days I suppose.
@@Zeithri tastes evolve? please... the only thing we have now is feminism and homosexuality encouragement.

Best animated theme song ever!
Just turned 33 years old & this show will always be one of the best :-) Also for the longest time now I've been hoping to see this made into a awesome live action movie franchise
Good musical taste is wonderful! Eternal golden years😘😘👏👏❤️
Galaxy Rangers was only one of two 80s shows to have people get shot and killed occasionally. It didn't talk down to us kids, and we loved it!
I can officially declare this for a fact. The cartoon soundtracks of the 1980's would win multiple Grammy Awards hands down if they were to be nominated today.
If somebody would make an updated version of this song, it could become a hit. It's awesome!
I wanna give you a billion likes .
Timeless Classic! As powerful as the Saber Rider Intro Theme. Makes you feel you could run a marathon by only listening to the guitar riffs. :-)
Back in the 80's, everything was powered by neon, chrome, and pure unbridled awesomeness. And, sometimes, a mountain of powdery inspiration fresh from Columbia.
Now this is what I call a killer Theme song, it's badass it got it's own music video. Man the 80's had some awesome themes.
Gosh, the space battle animation is a whole new level
Look at Goose getting it in on that guitar...do your thing my Gooseman!!
This song is just awesome. Having watched the series not too long ago it still holds up fairly well too. One of the most underrated cartoons from the 80's for sure.
timeless song from my childhood
Used to wakeup at 6am to watch this when i was a kid. Got mad at myself many times for being 1 min too late and missing the intro!
14yrs later and i keep coming back to this video. Love the animation quality and the music scores. We'll never get western animation this great ever again. Hence why Japanese anime and mangas are blowing everything out of the water.
Ah, sorry to be that guy, but this was animated by one of Japan's top TV animation studios of the day - TMS Entertainment. It had American writers and producers, but the animation is completely Japanese. Fun fact - they also did the animation for The Bionic Six and The Real Ghostbusters.
It sounds so good!!! The guitar, the rhythm, the singer, the whole song sounds amazing!!!
Salvando e favoritando esse vídeo, 30 anos depois, Galaxy Rangers sempre um clássico de qualidade.
I described this series to a friend as “A Clint Eastwood western meets Star Wars meets an Iron Savior album”
Good lyrics! Good guitar solo! all it is perfect !!! So amazing galaxy rangers! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Eu adoro esse desenho. Bem que podia voltar.
top 5 80s cartoon theme ever!!!!
#1 cartoon theme of the 80's
I don't remember much of this cartoon, but whenever I watch is opening in youtube I wish there was more of those 30 seconds of awesome 80's music. THANK YOU!!
The Galaxy Rangers. That is actually a kickass name for a band.
It was revolutionary for its time... like the Panasonic slogan "Slightly ahead of their time!" Yet, the anime-style is what gave the mystique of this show for their success. Pity! It ONLY lasted 65 episodes... with no finale... nonetheless, it gave a profound cult following!!! I was a fond follower of "The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers".
ikr
It had 65? I only saw maybe 8 before it was off the air on our local station. It was always pre-empted by something or on at odd time slots like 7am Sunday mornings. I don't remember it ever being on weekdays.
Actually, two of the episodes are widely considered by fans to serve as finales of sorts to the show. The final episode aired (Heartbeat) served to resolve the long-running Tarkon/Scarecrow story arc, while an earlier episode titled Armada is viewed as the true series finale despite airing earlier, as the Crown suffered its most devastating defeat in history in that one by losing a significant portion of its fleet, which more than likely hastened its inevitable collapse.
Deus do céu, nostalgia pura. como eu gostava de assistir este desenho. show de bola.
no guts no glory, no pain no gain....Ranges are forever

OH SHIT! This is out on DVD!? This makes my day! =D
Almost EVERY 80s intro is absolutely rocking.
We need to go back to the 80s. Seriously what happend to american cartoons and kickass rock soundtracks?.
Exactly. That's one of the things I love about anime, particularly the 80s stuff. The attention to detail in the close ups and the well thought out designs of the ships and weapons was fantastic. Their shot compositions, editing, and fx animation made the battle scenes so dynamic! The Japanese really know how to blow stuff up!
the best sound track of all time, this series never be famous without this musics and awesome soundtrack, I ´ll never forget this, I hear this musics since 1987 only 30 years!!, greatest sound track

oh man, memories... That episode when a large Crown fleet managed to get to Earth thanks to Lazarus State hyperdrives and the Earth garrison fleet took off in a standoff of classic red v blue where humanities existence hung by a thread. And all the tactical overlays and feints and ripostes they deployed trying to play off each others strengths. It was the first convincing epic scale space battle I saw and it still gives me shivers thinking about it.
