  • Regarding The problem with the dual climate control and media. If you press and hold the "switch" button for some seconds you can tell the car to automatically go back to either climate control or media functions after a few seconds after your actions on the control (I would choose climate). Then you know that it is always on this setting. 👍

  • Just came across this KZhead channel. An extremely well put together, informative & interesting review. Thank-you. I hope you are enjoying your new car & extremely happy with your choice. I'm from & in UK, where I have been waiting 14 months to take delivery of a new BMW X3 M40I, ordered & deposit paid for on 30th April 2021; which i guess means patience is a virtue!

  • Just test drove an EV6. Had sat in one before and already loved the cockpit that 'surrounds' the driver. As per your comment and others, my only issue that also plagues the otherwise superb Nissan Ariya is the touch strip for the HVAC. Range Rover/Land Rover still do dashboards best: Tactile rotary dials with a digital readout in the middle. Anyway, the EV6 is the one EV that ticks most boxes: Stylish, decent range, fast charging, spacious interior, USB ports in front and rear, great twin screen dash, HUD etc.

  • Another great video Surround camera view in Kia EV6 GT Line, I have found this unreliable when judging the distance of my vehicle from say a parking line in FRONT of me. The surround camera view suggests I am on the line in front of me when you are in fact 30-40cm away from the line. What has been your experience?

      @kofio7581@kofio7581 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kofio7581 Australia. Kia originally planned on bringing only 500 cars to Aus for 2022, but they've since increased that to 600 because of extremely high demand. So basically the only people getting getting an EV6 this year are people who pre-ordered one. I ordered mine a couple days after they officially "went on sale" so I'll have to wait a year, but right now dealers are quoting 2024-2025 for deliveries, unless Kia dramatically increases the number of cars allocated to our market. Right now, 12 month waits are not uncommon for many popular models in Australia. The Tesla Model Y only went on sale a week ago and it already has a 12+ month wait. Most premium brands, even the Toyota RAV4, Corolla, and Mazda CX-5 are running 6-12 months. My local VW dealer hasn't got a single new car on their lot, just a few used cars and several Amaroks.

  • I’m in my second month with the Ev6. Love the car overall, and have had much the same feelings. A few small problem areas for me…one is the door handles…these just don’t work as easily as ones you can grab. No reason for them IMO. Also, I don’t love the seating position for me. Can’t get my elbows to sit resting while steering quite comfortably. The dual climate/radio is annoying for me too, although not too bad. Also the suspension is not exactly “smooth” to me. If you have a road with lots of dips/bumps, my RAV4 is noticeably more stable and does not jostle you around as much. And while it is good on twisting roads, it is not great. It still has an imprecision (steering and suspension) and is not exactly up to the best handling sedans. But it is a very comfortable cruiser on freeway. It is also very quiet, approaching high end cars sound insulation which makes it feel very premium. I have had a couple amazing ~15 min fast charge sessions at 350kw electrify america stations, and even level 2 charging at home on a 40 amp charger is very fast too. Room in back is great. I wish the car had a bit more head room (and a panoramic sunroof, like the VW Id4 and Audi etron have). Acceleration is amazing in sport mode (I have 4wd Wind trim). And efficiency has been good usually around 3.3m/kWh. Overall a fantastic well rounded electric option. Now they just need to get more of them to be available…I paid well over msrp for mine, and got it used so have no tax credit either. But I think the car will keep that value fairly well for a few years when I sell it.

  • 8:20 they classify all SUVs as "station wagons" even though that's not how we refer to them, so all crossovers and what we could call actual station wagons are "small station wagons". I do agree with you though, the EV6 is more like a station wagon with the cabin space extended and the cargo shrunk. It certainly lacks the headroom of an SUV.

Especially if it can charge the car from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. My Tesla M3 takes 25 to 30 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%. That's with "preconditioning" the battery... Nuff said right....... 😉 Edit was for a typo

    • I'm afraid you are incorrect. Both the 23 and the 24 will be built on the same platform and that means they will have the same 77 KW hour battery and you can't squeeze extra mileage out of it. They're not going to redesign the whole car each year, no company does that

They don't know how to fix it and it will take weeks for the unit to get to the dealer. this bug is also happening on the ioniq 5 and apparently i'm not the only one. • We have a Tesla Model 3 and all electric cars should only lose about 3 to 5% per year in range. First of all , read your manual . you should not charge to 100%, that is part of your problem. Always charge to 80% unless you are going on trips. And don't charge until the car gets down to about 20 to 40%. Secondly do not put the car on the charger immediately when you get home after a drive. Let it set for 3 to 4 hours so the power in the cells redistribute then charge it. A technician told me a way, just recently, of how to recalibrate the car. Let it drain down to about 10 to 20% of battery, let it set for a few hours, then charge it to 100%. Do this a couple of times in a row and you should be able to get some mileage back. Otherwise stay between that 40 to 80% range. If you try those steps and it doesn't change, then you're stuck with what you got.

Absolutely horrible experience, fixed now but I was pretty mad about it too be honest. It's easy to forget how luxorious you driving in the EV6 compared to most cars. And they recently allowed preheating without being on a charger in the cold this is great! :) The range like all EV's differs alot when it's cold outside. Like in the summer I get about 100km's more range and the fast charging actually goes to 240kwh but in the winter it does not. (I do have the Ice setting on etc) And EV6 in europe comes with the backcover standard in the trunk tho.

    • Because there is not enough wind turbulence at the rear window to move the water...thus rear wiper. If you don't like the rear wiper, 1)buy the model that doesn't have it, 2)do a wiper delete, 3)use a product like rain-x to help the water fall off the window so you don't have to use the rear wiper. I'll take my "ugly" and "90s" w/function and safety....

  • So the Ioniq 6 has the charger routing. There is an engineering function that will enable this in the EV6. (kzhead.info/sun/ZMtuaZpwsKppa6c/bejne.html). I have enabled this and it seems to work well. Here is hoping for an update to make this official.

  • it is all your opinion and your thought. so it doesn't show every owner has to argee? NO. everybody has different opinion. in my case, I just preordered EV6 GT last year as soon as EV6 was released at March 31th. my decision was right. as a matter of fact, I have very good eyes and brain to make a decision whether it would be great or not. I was right everytime when I bought something. so don't make me your though right. it is all defferent.

    • ...and thus we all have different opinions about the same thing. __ That's great your purchase was flawless for you, but his was not and he's making his opinion and experiences available to help others make an informed decision; what works, what to look for, and what doesn't work. It is up to you, the consumer to know what you want, but it is nice to know/hear what others think because maybe they have experienced something you haven't. Even the best cars have flaws...and for some, those flaws could be what is unacceptable to another buyer; while other ppl are willing to accept them. Look at every current Subaru product - flaws are everywhere - but there are lots of ppl willing to accept (embrace) them because those flaws don't get in the way of how they use the car.

  • Dont buy the KIA EV6 the mile range is a joke. I've had the EV6 GT-Line for 2 monts. I have been getting 222 mile range at 100% charge, I've done this twice which I do once a month at full charge. I only got the 282 mile range when I left the lot and after that I never saw it again. I actually called KIA and they said the EV6 uses your last driving data to give you the maximum mile range. WTF! My sister has a Tesla and she gets 400 to a full charge and never changes. KIA needs to fix this. It's disappointing to see a 100% charge only at 222 which should be 282., 90% charge is only 186 mile range. Imagine what the 80% charge KIA suggest to charge to. This EV6 GT-Line is not effin cheap. I drive the EV6 GT-Line at 70 mph snell slow and I drive in eco mode. I might end up selling this EV6 GT-Line due to the range not being accurate which really sucks.

  • The EV6 is fatally flawed. The 12volt aux battery drain problems are wide spread. My own GT LINE has been in the dealership for over THREE MONTHS. The Charge Control Unit has been changed. A capacitor unit is now being investigated but I have been warned that the whole traction battery may need replacing. All parts have been BACKORDER AND SENT FROM S. Korea by SHIP. Car is 13months old and 10800 miles. DO NOT BUY EV6 , YOU WILL REGRET IT. Technicians are still learning about these EVs while the customer waits. DO NOT BUY!!!
