It's wild how people can write off something like this as untrue left wing propaganda, and then five minutes later share something on Facebook that is clearly a lie if you spend five minutes Googling it. Did the thousands of people who downvoted this video watch it? Or did they watch it and think it was untrue? Or did they watch it, think it was true, and downvote it anyway?

    • Snoglydox Fortunately Trump wasn’t able to put up hardly any new wall, so maintenance will be extremely minimal compared to if he built the wall on the entire southern border like he intended too. The creepy weird part is that I highly doubt Trump could care less about the wall. He only fought for it during his presidency because it was a huge reason he got elected. Why that is, is beyond me and scary frankly. It sickens me how Trump promised Mexico would pay for the wall during the campaign, but not ONCE did Trump say (again during his campaign) that “by Mexico paying for the wall” actually means the United States tax payers are paying for it, but will “supposedly” get that money back somehow due to the “benefits” of having the wall. Effin liar scamming POS.

    • This sounds crazy, but in the 1950’s, there was a western TV series called track down. They once featured an episode about a con man villain who came to town named “Trump”. This con man claimed that everyone will die in the town unless they “build a wall” around the town to protect them. It’s so weird and creepy watching that episode. You should google it. The villain hugely resembles trumps father and I heard the show was based on his father. It’s pretty incredible. I find it hard to believe our President hasn’t seen that show. It doesn't even have a name; it's just called the Great Wall of China because no other name is needed. Parts of it stood for centuries and still stand to this day. Even the parts are not maintained and are decaying still look impressive. The fact that it can be seen from orbit is a myth-but the fact that you believed it shows how great this wall was. Seriously, no wall ever built will come close. Restoring the whole thing would cost as much as the infrastructure budget on the entire Interstate Freeway System (and all the parts in the photos? Are a small portion of the entire wall; restoring all of it is infeasible, dangerous and pointless). And it FAILED at it's one job. The Mongols took one look at it and instead of going "oh, we should run away," they went "challenge accepted" and proceeded to conquer...well, pretty much everything in front of them (see "Yuan Dynasty" and "Mongol Empire"). It did NOTHING, but stand there and look impressive. (I'll give it this: at least it stood for centuries, looks impressive and failed to keep out one of the greatest armies in history instead of standing for months, looking pathetic and failing to keep out refugees).

He gets mocked so much that you end up forgetting how malevolent he actually is, and I have to commend John Oliver for putting this into perspective, instead of getting a cheap laugh.

      @SirNarax@SirNarax3 жыл бұрын
    • @Professor C Lets start with the problem. And how non existent it is. In the US there are 12 million people that have arrived here illegally. Of that 12 million 80% of which have been here for over 10 years. The number of illegal people in the US has been on the decline since 2007 as these people are either found or more commonly become legal citizens. Then lets' talk about how these people are getting in, the border control. Nearly all of the people that come illegally arrive legally with a visa and just never go back. Which a wall does nothing for. Not even to mention that there are videos of people scaling the wall quite easily with neither much skill, time or effort. If someone was determined enough to leave their country a little fence that falls over if you push too hard on is not going to stop them. Which by the way some parts of the wall have fallen over.
