    • @@BIGLARRY100 That's not true, LaVine was 2nd. Watch it again. Even when Aaron did that 360 with the mascot spinning, LaVine did a very similar one just after and still got a 50. I don't think it should have got a 50 because of the lack of creativity since Aaron just made a very similar dunk just before him but w/e, they are both freaking great dunkers and it was one of the best contests of all time, you gotta enjoy it no matter who won.

  • Vince Carter's dunks are art. He has perfect flow in the air

    @sachinruparelia@sachinruparelia4 жыл бұрын
    • Absolutely. He's the best dunker ever. His reverse 360, between the legs bounce pass from TMac, and The Elbow Dunk should have been 1, 2, 3. And when you consider his style, grace, and finesse and combine that witb the fact that he's at least 4 inches shorter and lord knows how much shorter reach than, say Dwight Howard or Aaron Gordon, and don't get me wrong, Gordon is fucking dope, but he simply doesn't have the style and grace that Vince (who's listed at 6'6" but isn't an inch of 6'5") or Zach LaVine whose listen at 6'6". Anyhow, they're both in the 6'6" or less, and I feel like dunkers that height or below are not only that much more impressive due to the fact that they have to jump so much high due to their lesser height and reach, but beyond that, they just look more fluid. They look like they're truly flying through the air. And unlike Dwight or Gordon, they don't seem to have the long ass legs and arms getting in the way. And while guys like Vince, LaVine, and Jordan are certainly pretty tall and do have long limbs, they're able to use them in a way that's similar to a dancer or ballerina. You don't notice them flailing around, they are simply part of one fluid motion, and I just can't say the same for the taller 6'10+ dunkers like Gordon and Dwight and so on.

  • Aaron Gordon got robed. Zach Lavine repeat one dunk of Gordon and still got a 50. And I Know dunking from the free throw line is awesome not going to argue but he did it 3 times diferent ways but the concept its the same free throw line dunk. Gordon was more creative and got 3 of the top 5 dunks(in my opinion) that night.

    • 1. unless you are going to actually grade one of his dunks below fifty and gordons above 50, give it a rest. jordan and some of the greatest dunks ever have been basic 15 foot dunks, they've won contests and all been awarded 50. Richardson, maybe the greatest to do this contest couldn't even make one 15 foot dunk. Lavine didn't just do a 15 footer he did each one with an impossible variation. An alley, between the freaking legs. Between the legs alone has gotten 50's. What's next Lavine does an actual back flip from the 15 and windmills and it's all for nothing because it's another foul line dunk? There is a 50pt must system and by those rules gordon got what he got and Lavine got what he got. All earned. 2. Gordons last dunk was clearly his weakest of the night, Lavine's was clearly his strongest. Maybe the strongest dunk ever attempted by some measures. 3. Lavine not only went second which is harder cause judges measure you against something as opposed to going first when you can get 50's relative to nothing. But Zach not only already put out his 6 best dunks last year, he showed up woth 6 more and sudden death dunks. How many amazing creative dunks is someone capable of? Could vince show up to 10 contets and pull out 6 new insane possible things every time? Everyone has a tool chest, Lavine has taxed his to the max and he still showed up for sudden death. Great contest.

      @bboiblack1948@bboiblack19487 жыл бұрын
    • Ángel Fuentes the reason why LaVine got a 50 on a dunk that was the same was because it was a 50. If the score would go up to 100 instead of 50, Aaron's dunk would have been like an 80 and Zach's should have been a 50-55. But since the maximum score is 50, then they are both 50 because they are worthy of 50's... dumbass

      @pinnacle6322@pinnacle63227 жыл бұрын
    • Gordon used the mascot as much as Zach used the FT line. So Its timing vs insane leaping ability. Zach could have done all the dunks Gordon did if he had the timing down. Zach won that hands down.

      @joshday5321@joshday53217 жыл бұрын
    • How you reward a guy with a 50 in copy dunks? That makes no sense. Using youre eveluation perspective I concluded this. In the 2000 dunk contest VC did amazing 50 dunks. If T-mac and Francis repeat Carter's dunks they would be tied with him. That makes no sense. You have to earn your points by using your creativity and doing something amazing not making the same dunk of your competition
