  • The only reason fight didnt end in round 2 was because Lewis had waited so long for this fight he wanted to savour the moment and spend more time in the ring with Tyson. He was basically toying with Tyson from round 3.

If tyson couldnt knock his opponents out in the first few rounds he always looked lethargic and disinterested and discouraged for the rest of the fight, even in his wins that went thr distance. I used to think due to the fact he got inside on lewis so easily in this fight and just didnt work when he did, a prime tyson would easily beat lewis, but tbh tyson was never a good inside fighter, and probably prime tyson vs lewis is just as likely to go the way of buster douglas and tyson. but could go either way, i just dont have much faith in tyson's heart even in his prime

  • I stand to differ with many, what i see here is a nasty fight where the other fighter is allowed to hold, lean and jump over the shorter fighter. That's against the rules of boxing match. Tyson got tired because Lewis mount his heavier body over him. Look at Holmes vs Mercer, Holmes vs McCall, Tyson vs Tills, Lewis vs Mercer there were no such holding, leaning and jumping over other fighter. Lewis also did this to Holyfield2, he pushed and grabbed.

    • @@deanbell300 Very good writen. I think he is overrated too. But I think you forgot the Klitschkos at their prime. I think Especially Vitali Klitschko could have won vs Tyson. Klitschko wants to fight vs Tyson for years, but the management from Tyson has allways excuses why Tyson can't fight.

    • @@winsalot84 Mike Tyson a talent no doubt hand speed and power combo But Mike Tyson also had flaws for a heavyweight short arms and trying to rely to much on his knockout power and started getting hit more in late 80s and 90s Mike style fun to watch and build for youth When Mike Tyson lost his speed he wasn't as good Mike Tyson was kinda of one dimensional I called Mike Tyson overrated because hes lost all his big fights to fighters in his era Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield And because people try to put Mike Tyson on the levels of Muhammad Ali I dont think Mike Tyson a top 5 heavyweight all time Mike Tyson somewhere in the top 10 But to try to put Mike Tyson top 5 is overrating him
