He probably realises the gift Star Wars has given him.
Going single rider cuts down the wait time drastically, but the trade off is that you miss the preshow, and will also become VERY acquainted with the Engineer role. Also, quick story. One time when I did this ride with the single rider line, the pilots were these two little kids that didn't meet the height requirement, but were allowed on after their parents begged the workers enough (I watched this happen at the spot where the single rider line and the regular line converge). The kid controlling the up and down controls could barely reach the lever, and only managed to push it forward, meaning the "ship" was stuck flying downward the entire time. So during most of the ride, the hull was constantly shaking to simulate grinding across the floor. Unironically one of my favourite times on the ride.
Bro was shaking, literally. Sounded like you had fun though.
Hopefully my tall (but little) one can get on, but NO, would NOT make him the pilot. Dude has to earn his stripes. 😂
I want to see some committed roleplayers getting into this and putting on a show for the camera. I want to see some mental breakdowns and screaming.

This would be fucking awesome. 😂

Why mental breakdowns?

Imagine actually going into the gunner position like in ANH though, each crew member is on a different part of the ship and has a different perspective. That would be amazing.
I actually thought the gunners were gonna be exactly that. Lol, that would be so much fun compared to this.
to be fair though, the placement of the guns is kinda dumb. you'd be looking directly below or above the falcon. the movies make it look way better than it actually would be

What amazes me more than the rides itself are the details and ornaments they put in display on inside....not many people appreciate this but for me this is already amazing
Honestly if you’re not the pilot this ride looks mega boring Edit: I just rode this ride and wanted to come back and say that it is epic no matter what position you’re in.

I did this attraction recently and served in all three roles. Piloting is obviously the best but it's a blast of fun no matter what job you have.

This was probably my favorite ride. So fun!
why am i laughing so hard at this excessive button pushing XDD
What the F! They said becoming a pilot is hard. All you need to do is press the flashing buttons. I should've applied for Delta Airlines a long time ago.
The engineer presses the buttons the pilot maneuvers the ship
TBH airline pilots dont do much else.
The right pilot controls up and down, the left pilot controls left to right. The left pilot has to be careful because the control is very sensitive. It was fun! My husband and I were pilots twice, and also did engineer one go around and gunner another time. We were able to go 4 times during an OP Preview in WDW. Could've gone more, but there was other stuff we wanted to do.
You actually do have to steer it as the pilot. Some people have crashed the ship lol.
You should apply to American Airlines, not Delta, at AA you can get the bonus of being a pilot AND slapping around/ejecting passengers for imaginary infractions. Win Win!
Looks so amazing.
In mid-flight, it brought tears to my eyes because it was so beautiful
So basically it's Star Tours with button mashing and a 3 hour line

Went there December 2019 just before going to Empire Con LA. Honestly flying the Millennium Falcon was the greatest moment in my life. Went on this ride three times. First time, I got to be one of the pilots. I felt like a kid again. Going back there next December once things have calmed down.
Greatest in your life? You need to change your life around a bit....
This is the next step of theme park evolution. User interaction. Even though this ride will finish as it's programmed, it's still a complete thrill to participate in the ride. I hope more rides take this concept and improve on it like I mentioned

I went on that ride and the whole time I was waiting on the damm button instead of looking at the screen I hated it
You weren’t able to see them light up through your peripheral vision?
I agree, the whole experience was spent facing a wall and trying to refocus yourself on what’s going on, on the screen, while you have the narrator screaming at the pilots to do something. Honestly that was the whole ride. The guy yelling at the pilots. I have no idea wtf the ride was about
As a pilot or whatever part you play, can a person make it so this thing crashes into a train? LOL
Yes, there’s a 86% chance that you’re gonna smash into the train.

The reason she said that was because the other cockpit on the turntable was done with it's game. She needed the guests to hurry so she can unload the other guests already on the ride.
I waited 80 min to get on this ride just so my cousin could keep bragging at my face that he was a pilot and I was a gunner... he wasn’t a very good pilot any way

In spite of the ship's changes, and common, yet not unfounded complaints, it still looks like fun to me! And the ladies "guarding" chewie are not hard on the eyes either.
The Rey girls are always the best part.
I remember 20 years ago i went on the jaws ride and got severely scalded by steam when jaws bit the powerline The rides now are like a tea party compared to then haha
I rode this on 12/1/19. Waited in line an hour, each time (two times). the wait in line was enjoyable...much of it puts you right near a 'lifelike' replica of the Millenium Falcon. I am 48, and have dreamed about this ship all my life...it was freaking awesome. Then once inside, and getting closer to getting into the 'cockpit', we were able to spend some time in the bay of the Falcon, done up like how Luke and Ben were in there when Luke had the blaster shield on with the drone sphere that shot lasers at him...again, fantastic. While there isn't a lot of flying that you do, it was just so much fun...and we rose Star Tours, too...this was way, way better and I would go pay the money and go back tomorrow and do it again if I could. My 17 year old and I loved it....if you didn't, that's cool, too. But it was so worth it for us.
@Jack Burton a cup of tea beats this any day!

I went on the ride twice and from what I see only the ones that light up green do something but I could be wrong though. They did say if it lights up it does something but most of the time It did the same thing. Don’t quote me on this I’ve yet to play all positions only the right pilot and right gunner

is it a roller coaster as well? im going there and not a fan of fast roller coasters i guess? or does it just shake and jerk with the simulation?
@lilylindquist6324 it's a simulator that moves and jerks. It's like star tours but with "jobs" given, and 6 people in the one simulator
Wow, They are on board the millennium falcon that's so awesome

Funny thing about this ride is that you can significantly extend the ride length (~2 min longer) if you purposely crash the ship You get to see cutscenes as well lol
Sounds like a cool but bad thing if lines get very long
Mystic at what point in the ride do you crash the Falcon to extend the time?
Mystic not true the attraction is operated on a turntable so it’s all based on how fast each cast member is loading and unloading
Mystic i thought if you crash it the ride ends early
You da man Jeff! Give Pharah some love, like an extra rocket, or a secondary skill where you can shoot a rocket into a wall/floor and have it go off after 3 seconds.
Pretty damn fun ride imo. Extremely difficult to do well on tho, since you have to manage you and 5 strangers working in tandem. Funniest part wasnt shown here but when you get off the motion simulator, the exit hallway is designed to look damaged and broken, furthering the feeling that you completely wrecked the falcon.

Obviously, it was built by people that doesn’t know the Millennium Falcon at all. The cockpit is all to the side so no canon firing from the right. It also flew to close to objects on the left and bottom which would have caused collisions all the time and wrecked the ship. No sense for perspective and dimensions of the ship, nor it’s actual functions.

It’s quite fun in my opinion and you don’t have to actively look for your buttons to push but people come into the ride thinking they don’t have a job, ruining it for most sadly 😕

The POV isn't correct. The cockpit should be on the right side of the ship, not the center. It looks to me like they're flying through some tight spaces, but in "reality" the living quarters would have been smashed to bits.
The falcon was using invisibility
Some people who is not a fan of the starwars movie does not even know where the cockpit is located in the falcon.
The Falcon does go through some tight spaces and it also does in the movie. The POV of the cockpit in the movies is the same as the ride so it is correct
