The manager comes across as a prick.
Agreed, like the questions were fine. Shows why he is an awful manager.
Lad was still asking better questions than jim ever does
There was no need for the manager being this dismissive towards a youngster learning his trade.
So you get someone to wash your car for you, young lad. He scratches the paintwork down to the metal. It's ok though, he's just learning his trade?
i dont think the interviewer permanently damaged the manager, did he? more like he washed his car and missed a bit@@herrzyklon
@@herrzyklonhow is being asked a question the same thing as having your property damanged? lol worst anology ever
@@herrzyklon that’s not even comparable, the interview didn’t do anything stupid.
@@sonnypembleton6706 his questioning was inane, which is far more wasteful. It's arguable that it was stupid of him to waste the opportunity to ask meaningful questions
Irrelevant manager responding in a big time manner...
I swear MOST SEASONED journalists ask the SAME questions.
Literally nothing wrong with the questions. Im shocked Simon is defending the manager for once in this instance.
They are boring and tedious.
@@haveanotherpinacoladaAnd you get Prem journalists who ask similar questions and don’t get this response from Simon
@@xaoc6084 everytime ten hag loses: What went wrong? What could you have done better?
Find it ironic how Simon always bangs on about people being snowflakes when he takes things so personally and gets so angry about petty things
I wouldn't say he take everything personally he just has an opinion on everything doesn't really seem to take anything to heart
Well I mean it goes back to are people in media jobs by merit or as a quota , the kid sounded nervous and over friendly shoulda man not be asking those questions?
What Rosie did was in no way petty
That's because Simon's actually just a petty school girl
its his job to do that lol
what pissed him off was the question about the penalty taker which was asked in poor taste hoping to get a manager to slate a player brave enough to step up and take a penalty , from then on he was doomed and his following questions were mundane .
Anything else? Put it back in the net twice 😂😂
Legend.
Back in the day Malcolm Alison was asked the question by a sport journalist, What happened? Malcolm answered, They scored more goals than we did.
You hear similar questions being asked by most interviewers on sky after big premier league matches. Manager was just being a prick here.
Well, if that's Sutton United's manager's attitude then it will endear him to the people of the London Borough of Sutton who pretty much always talk like that.
Sorry what? 🤔 the questions were fine?
They were pretty basic, tabloid questions. The type you'd find from a Media Studies sixth former or regional TV
They were terrible
Cliche and overused to the point where such questions are a joke
@@herrzyklon I understand they were basic questions. But they’re asked all the time? It’s to be expected? And before anyone says yes the problem is they are asked all the time. Well it’s for a reason. No reason why the young reporter should get abuse for this.
@@ZzzZzz968 they were absolutely fine.
I am a 46 year old school teacher. I reflect back to when I was in my early 20's and OMG I had a lot to learn! But I certainly didn't learn my trade from arrogant individuals who forget they once had to learn their trade too. I learned my lessons from people who helped me along the way.
Yes, but they helped you because you, assumedly, weren't an arrogant prat playing at his profession. This journalist knew exactly what he was trying to do and was brought down a peg or two. I bet you were as well at some point in your development? I know I was
If a well known journo or host asked him those questions be wouldn't react like that
People like this manager hide behind a vocabulary of 10 words - 8 of which are grunts and the other 2 are yeah and nah.
Don't like the managers answers here.
Wow I doubt that manager will last the season....Cant even answer a basic question. What a see you next tuesday
Seems like a breath of fresh air. Instead of the waffle you hear from Ten Hag and that lot.
What's a sunt?😂
Simons a goon
I love the implication here by Jordan that post match interviews usually don't have formulaic questions
He answered. And said I'm not telling you what we do on the training ground ❤
Is it me, but did Jim White look a bit uncomfortable with Jordan's revelation, about Sky helping him to gain access to Dowie's press conference to serve the Rit. "I knew nothing about that"😮
Didn't Dowie take his tinpot outfit into the Premier League? Bit ungrateful.
The manager should hold his hands up, apologise & offer the young reporter a full interview in his office
Exactly, Simon. Football managers too often sound like politicians, as in, they have learned to give formulaic answers to formulaic questions, and nothing is really said or revealed. I think why people like Ange Postecoglou here at Tottenham. He's himself, he's grounded, he's real...
The biggest problem with the Dowie situation was that he was totally bloody useless to boot
Great line from white "cos your not showing it" looool
How many times have Simon told this story it’s either this one Andy Johnson or John bostock🤣
Dowie is now a mortgage advisor
I thought he turned to modelling?
He does modelling on the radio
These sound like questions that any football journalists ask. Just because the guy asking questions is young doesn't mean you have to disrespect him.
Silas Greenback tut tut😂
Good player that Faustian Pact. ⚽️
Most sports media reporters ask stupid questions
If the kid wants to become a journalist he needs to improve his questions. If he is at that level he should be practices on Sunday league managers.
those questions were no different to any other question managers get asked at the end of a game. That manager was just being an ar$ehole. I'm sure he's regretting it already.
That incident ruined Dowie financially too. Ended up taking a normal job in recent years because that legal case took all his money
Brilliant story remember some retelling of this from Simon’s book.. hilarious 🤣
The younger interviewer is not going to ask: Your team were sloppy in conceding that opening goal - the lanky streak of piss defender who turns like the QE2 was out of position and so was always going to get caught out. He’ll be left out next game won’t he?
I think I like and loathe SJ in equal measure... But I certainly enjoy him!
Questions sounded exactly like sky pundits ask so not if Klopp can answer them, a league 2 manager can without bitching
If you have the social skills of a Honey badger, then you should at least be somewhat savvy on the tactics and results.
Morrison was at Hornchurch FC this season, and as soon as a league club came in he left middle season, Hornchurch were romping the league, top by a fair few points, he could and should of stayed until the end of the season, got a promotion on his cv, instead he has gone from a good team to a relegation battle, he came across as very terse
Of course Simon would side with someone being content to be an insufferable prick.
I remember seeing the writ 😂
Gaffer what’s the tactics today ? Score a goal haha
Next question he should ask the manager Was it you're poor tactics that stopped the team being able collect 3 pts , Was you given this job as a winning raffle prize as it seems above you I dont expect you tell everyone the in game tactics , but from the sidelines it seemed there wasnt any
Ooooo, that got a bit fiesty. Some sore points were poked.
If the reporter came back with so your defenders have let you down by not defending good enough so you didn’t concede the goals? Is that what Simon is saying he’s should say? How on earth is it imbasilic for him to ask if the team could have done more? Surely the Imbosile of the manager should have coached his players better
They weren't stupid questions! the manager was being a complete tool! Simon is so wrong!
The Proclaimers do go back a long way. 500 miles, I believe.😀(I couldn't resist.)
Absolute nonsense anyone sticking up for the manager pep/klopp ect get asked ridiculous questions every week. And you can see on their face they have no time whatsoever for the question but because millions are watching they keep quiet. Whereas this manager can't be arsed because no one is watching
They are not allowed to say anything else. If a sports journalist starts asking real questions that the fans what to hear, they wont get the gig. so we are stuck with formulaic questions and formulaic answers
“Yeah but you was 87 at the time” 🤣
someone was a dick and it was not the kid .................. Daglish was a waste of space with questions.
I only watch this because of Simon Jordan and luckily not Jim White. White is unbelievably contradictory in his response to many a thing.
Every question they ask on sky is generic nonsense
Im on the Gaffers side cant lie LOL
My god dowie was the beginning of the end of Charlton premier League people would have said we deserved it taking him from palace
You should have kept Curbisley fool
Simon tats brilliant 😂😂😂
Jordanite = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
LFC Spectre and the jordanites = Top LADS Proper Clobber
@@sammybeck4855 💪😉👍
Brain clough gave a young interviewer a lesson on life, rather than be rude after the young lad got a few facts wrong, Who would want to play for that clown.
BUT never get things backward - yes the media pump loads of money into football - but thats because football is there first and media GETS money from football - there is no talksport if not for football - always start from basic principles - 22 people on a pitch kicking a ball about - all the associated drippings build from that - the manager talking to the interviewer can definitely be better but not if he doesn't want to on this occasion
Think this is bad think if he interviewed Brian Clough!
SJ has an opinion on most things, Jim White isn't much use tbf
If Brian Clough had been answering the questions it would have been very beneficial to the young journalist - Jordan is very dismissive
Simon himself asks imbicile questions all the time. Where's Eddie Hearne? Where's Wor Mandy?
Alright Simon. How can u stop conceding goals . H what can u do to score more goals.
simon i like you and think your perfect host ,but can only remember a few times you smiling on this show. point is if just forget the bad times in past years and you will thank me for those who try upset you as your good enough to still put em right . and you might see those warming to a straight shooter as you are GOOD LUCK SI.
Oh common. They are always the same questions. His werent any worse. The manager was just in a mood and being a smartass. The outcome is he comes across as a prick, end of story
The question's were pretty bland and samey. But give the lad a break.
They ask such stupid questions
I bet he was from the athletic
Embarrassing questions.
Historically Chelsea are a yo yo club. So why are the fans so negative, they're sitting comfortably mid table. Job done!
Not really. Try harder
Simon 👏💯🤣🤣
2 🛎️ ends
iain dowie, wheres he now????? who actually cares
The journo was pathetic, get him sacked.
Stipid questions, stupid answers.
Morrison was shite as a footballer
There are journalists in the Prem who ask very similar questions, so no they’re not really that bad. So all Prem journalists are the same as this guy
Now say that again in English, Moby.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard Jordan speak about this before 🙄talk shite has gone to the dogs
The kid sounded not ready for a media job asking football managers questions it’s a man’s job not a boys
He's covering Sutton United not Manchester United. It's exactly the kind of club where young journalists learn their trade.
@@jpwartist Well I would argue that people care just as much if not more about Sutton Football Club as people do about Manchester United and they deserve better than a Uni Student asking questions regarding their football club
Steve Morison is awful
How's this just becoming news to talksport. Game happened 2 weeks ago not "the other day" and already done the rounds on social media. Catch up!
Journalists do ask some stupid questions.
