Who's The Greatest High School Basketball Player Ever?
Who's your favorite high school hooper of all time?
Tacko fall
Lebron James
Ben Wilson
guy who played with garnett
Zion
High School? These players already looked like pros in high school
Did I ask
yea, they looked like from pro teams that are carrying a team with a bunch of highschoolers in a highschool competition
@@NN_Prod whomp whomp whoomppppp. Failed troll.
Kareem 3 championships in High school 3 championships in college (only 3 yrs eligible) 6 championships in the pros
Kareem has an argument to be the best high school, college, and nba player of all time! Man truly is a legend!
@@alandowning7460 not a good argument but an argument
That's why I always give Kareem the edge in the greatest Center of all time debate (vs Wilt, Bill, Hakeem & Shaq) in addition to his longevity and scoring record...
Wilt, Kareem was myths in high school. Guys like them became popular because of word of mouth, no idiots on sports networks.
crying jordan fans
wilt i agree but kareem hell no what u talking about
I'm from north west Ohio, two of our family friends played against lebron, I think they said three times, all three in the regional round of our state tournament. They said they'd never seen someone so fast, tall, and well coordinated. He was playing at a pro level against a bunch of small town farm boys.
Imagine being LeBron James in high school, walking around the halls and everyone trying to dap you up😭
Also, it's incredible that Wilt Chamberlain competed against pro basketball players in a league and averaged 70 PPG... at age 16!
God damn
@@sophisticatedwarriorsfan8993 hey
@Paul George in another pro basketball league at 17 he averaged 70
if bron went to a rec league in an era where the top nba players couldnt even dribble heads up,(0:56 thats howw even the top pg's dribbled they would be jealous of demarcus' handels) he would avarage WAAAAAY more and where did you find this info where he AVARAGED 70? cuz wilt fans be cappin left and right i think you meant scored lebron could easily do better if he had wilts compitition
Wilt chamberlain dropped 90 points in 28 minutes in HS
Kareem had 82 Games in High School
I was thinking Pistol Pete might be mentioned. I could find no stats whatsoever for him as a high schooler. He attended a military school after High school and before LSU and averaged 33 ppg. I can't believe he wasn't a high scorer in HS... Another great vid NS, but then, aren't they all! Thanks!
My uncle's friend played against kg In high school and said it was like a monster on the court and he was scared as hell
Kevin Garnett?
@@mr.savageman4710 yup
That would be scary asf no cap especially if he was acting like he did in the nba, which i know damn well he was
XD

Benjamin (benji) Wilson. He was was ranked as the number 1 high school player in the country in the 80s and was also the first player from Chicago to win that honor. He helped his high school Simeon vocational school win their first championship ever. He was also 6’9’’. He received numerous scholarship offers from schools such as: Illinois, dupage and Indiana. You most likely never heard of him because in his senior year in 1984 he was tragically shot and killed . People were left wondering what would could been if he didn’t get shot and played college ball and in the NBA .
Such a tragic story he put Simeon on the map
Is he the player in which Derrick rose payed his tribute by wearing his Jersey number at one point
@@BAA188 yeah man Benji wore number 25 and Derrick chose to wear his number in high school (and later in the pros). Jabari Parker did the same thing when he was at Simeon
Exactly...i just posted this....
Next: the best highschool basketball players today
Bro yr fav basketball video maker
Great Video I subscribed and liked.
You bodied that background music🔥
Please do best finishers in NBA history I would love it alot and I think other people will love it too
I think Emoni Bates can enter this conversation really soon
Yup he just decommitted from MSU
Wilt was built different 😤
I got a video Idea Top 10 clutch NBA players of all time!
Im from Jersey and went to Highschool in the early 2000s so Dujuan Wagner was a God to us. He is the greatest basketball player I have seen with my own eyes. He dropped 50 pts on us and didn't even sweat. But at the same time Lebron James came right after him and he was bigger and badder I just didnt see him up close.
Wilt in his prime was a god 50 inch vert Fast asf 100 points game Averaged 50 points in a season Averaged 20 Rebounds
I got Kobe’s HS Lower Merion Jersey, but I need that LBJ and KG
Dajuan wagner
Dejuan wagner needs to be in this convo
imagine struggling in geometry and then having to play against Kareem😭
Zion Williamson
SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DON'T BECOME THAT WAY OVERNIGHT. WHAT MOST. PEOPLE SEE AT A GLANCE_ WEALTH A GREAT CAREER, PURPOSE IS THE RESULTS OF HARD WORK AND HUSTLE OVER TIME. I PRAY THAT ANYONE WHO READS THIS Will BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE
Yeah! I agree with you
If you want to be successful have the mindset of the rich, spend less and invest More. Don't give up your dreams.
That's very correct !! And that is why most of them end up losing they m o n e y to s c a m m e r s.
Don't be in a haste to invest. Know what and who you are investing to and be sure that the person will deliver before investing.
Learn and get the knowledge first before investing..
I like the shit up quickly
i would say Bryan Newall or Timo Cruz
i think kareem is the only player from the 60s that could dominate in todays era
Yeah, in general the players just weren't as athletic, strong, fast, and agile, and most of the guys from back then have no problem admitting that. It was a different game, but Kareem was so good even today he would do well, and most likely dominate.
An additional factoid, seeing as we are talking only about their High School careers: Scholastic Magazine named Wilt the "Greatest High School Athlete of All Time". Not just the greatest basketball player, the greatest High School athlete, period. Jim Thorpe and [best female] Babe Didrikson Maharis rounded out the top three.
Wilts the best athlete of all time period
shouldve had dwight as an honorable mention too unless u were unconvinced due to his career averages
Apparently Wilt played professionally while in high school under a pseudonym. Not sure the other's could have done that.
george marcus was the name he played under
Others that should be mentioned Kobe Bryant Michael Jordan Blake Griffin Wes Unseld Elvin Hayes Pete Maravich Oscar Robertson Jerry West Larry bird Elgin Baylor
39 likes but 1 view lmao
“Jimmy Butler” 💀
Benji from chicago...r.i.p.
Stephon Marbury should be on this list
Wilton Norman Chamberlain is the most underrated basketball player of all time, the man doesnt get the credit he deserves, he was so dominant.
Fax
Bro was a demigod he was so god people think it’s cap and just say kareems better bc it’s more believable
I would have to say Kevin Garrett
It's close but lebron is my opinion
He lead his team to beat the best teams

Wilt 😃
I am going with Kareem, but it is hard. Hot take: Lamelo Ball will be the greatest athlete of all time.
Greatest athlete means they can transcend numerous sports. I don’t see that for Lamelo
lmaooo keep liking your own post sorry ass takes just because you're dad bought you a off brand ball jersey don't mean he's the best athlete what's written behind your jersey? lamela ball?
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 100%
Change my mind
Lol if you post a poll I bet Jordan would win best Highschool player. These fanboys are ridiculous
Lebron just bc of comp. Dude could've came out before senior year and was one of the few guys to ever outlive the hype....and his Hype was the an all time great lmfao. Lebron all the way
Lebron had the hype, but he also had the work ethic of an MJ. He optimizes his skills. Even to this day he practices and tries to improve every day. His teammates say his whole life revolves improving his basketball game both individually and team wise. His work ethic combined with talent is a big reason he became as good as he did.
zion laughing in his kitchen
Wow
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
lebron and its not close why cant people just accept that the more "modern" the era gets, the better the overall players are? You see the best pg's in wilts era? cant even dribble better than demarcus cousins and they do this for a living. Sure, the new era aint as physical as the old one, but since they cant play bully ball as much anymore, they have to settle for something we like to call, skill.
Why do people like you act like the rules were the same for dribbling like if they played with the actual dribble rules everything a current player does would be called for carry so they needed to use different tactics to play and the defense back then was a lot more flexible then it was now back then you go in the paint u get bumped and bruised with no fouls here you get fouls without even contact and people do things like “drawing a foul” like the fact people try to gain fouls instead of just playing doesn’t really make the era better like there is no need to disrespect previous eras.
I do think the more modern almost any skill or game gets the better people get, but because of that sometimes people don't compare modern players to older players because of the advantage of being a modern player. That's actually why you can't accurately compare past players to current players. Even if taken into account MJ was so good I still think he's the GOAT even if accounting for the modern game. Him and Lebron are the GOAT if you try to compare though in my opinion.
you'd think wilt chamberlin would be like 90 or 100 hes only 63
What do you mean he's only 63? He died at 63 in 99. If he was alive today he would be 88. His birth date tells all.
