These guys were able to make a more emotionally impactful story In 7 minutes with no dialogue, than many studios can do in a feature film.

Even Pixar has fallen in my opinion, Toy Story 4 felt so betraying. A good chunk of that film was just cheap unmotivated gags paired with an exhausted love story that didn't justify the ending. They had almost 2 hours of storytelling to build it up but failed.

I saw a short reel on Instagram and I had to come here and find the full story. I was not ready for the ending. Love is so simple yet it hurts so much. The little dinosaur gave his all to save his love. I’m in tears 😭

I really felt the existential crisis, bliss and ascension he was experiencing while his last bit of being was unraveling mid flight to save his love. These are the kinds of children's movies we need to help our wonderful kids feel compasion.
That scene really is powerful, it sort of slaps you and says "this is where you will start crying OK?"

I think the editing during the final bit of unraveling heightens that effect too, how they cut back and forth to show his happy memories. It's nostalgic of the thought that when you die you see your life flashing in your memory.

My 3 year old daughter felt really bad, and was crying hours and hours for the dino, she is completely moved by the emotions shown in this video...we certainly need a second part of the dino coming back to life and bring faith into hope...I need to show my daughter :)

I have asked Julie Ramsden the artist that crocheted these characters for the film. She advised me that the design is copyrighted so even she can not sell replicas or even a pattern.
I couldn't make these exact ones, but I could make a similar dino and fox :D

I myself like animated shorts with stories that end happily. What's wrong with that? Don't require people to see it your way. I didn't give this short a thumb down, but certainly wouldn't give it a thumb up either. I simply don't like this kind of emotional movies. If you do however, than that's totally fine with me. Why didn't we watch this in school for building tension and portraying emotions, the video we watched sucked! This is literally perfect. It's emotional, it looks really good and the music matches perfectly! I actually really love this short!

My grandmother used to make these paddington bears that were crocheted with this vividly bright yarn and they looked so appealing- until she stuffed them. Then it was like she had poured concrete in them. Shes been gone about a decade, and as crochet has come back into fashion I wish I had wanted to learn what she was trying to teach me about needle arts. This video brings it all back. As a fellow crafter I had to smile at your comment. And tell you that while the video rang a bell with me, it was your comment that explained why. This short conjured up so many contemplations of lifes big questions. In the spirit of "Memento Mori," one could say that we all have a string of our yarn tied to a nail, and with every step it gets ever shorter. The difference is that we can't always tell when the yarn ends.
I love everything about this, the story, the stop motion, how it was filmed and edited. Amazing in every way.

Fangle Animatronic I agree, however the youtuber who uploaded this on their channel didn't actually make the animation themself so they can't do anything about a part 2 unless the actual creator decides to make a part 2 😢
Fangle Animatronic you dont have the rights to talk like that, stop motion animation takes a long time to make, most films like these are shot on 24 FPS, i said most, so they need to take 24 pictures to make one second, to make one minute it takes 2400 pictures. and its not only the animation that takes long, the sets too and the figures, they had to make their own figure, they have to make their own sets, like at the water thing that is complicated because how are you gonna animate water, i know that the water isnt real but it is soo good looking. Everyone wants a part two even i do but you have all that wasted time they have to keep making other stuff it cant be the same everytime.

It’s not a girlfriend. No one knows if it’s a girl but definitely a best friend. They complete each other, would risk their life or save one another when they are almost dead. The pictures indicate they know each other for a long time and best friend. People usually would have gone farther or just stopped at the point of those many pictures. So I don’t know but…

All of you parents complaining that their kids are saddened by this short film, stop sheltering them. Use this to teach them that the world isn't always a happy place and everything doesn't always have a perfect ending. The world has enough of snowflakes, nurture them to be strong and compassionate.

I was deeply moved by this animation I just watched. I respect you for creating great works with the cute element of dolls. I've made stop motion before, so I know how hard this video is made. Also about the story, I’m looking forward to seeing the two characters meet again. This is because we are all sad about the feelings that the fox character must have felt.

This story is indeed one of the most beautiful short story I’ve ever seen in the last year, but, it’s not so Japanese. It might been played in Japan because of the letters you saw, but there are bunch of people who are selfless, loyal, honorable and persevere, no matter from where they come, Asia, Europe, north and South America, Africa, north and South Pole... And I’ve met some Japanese who were not loyal, selfless, honorable or persevere. I kindly want to remind people no to judge by their race, but their individual being. Thanks for understanding. Loving someone this much that you can loose yourself for your soul mate's sake, and trying to put back together the pieces of something that it could never come back..we are talking here about sacrifice, about loving someone more than you love yourself and no matter what the chances, you will give everything. I like the ending. It reflects real life. There doesn’t get to be a come back episode where people magically live again.

Why KZhead why...it's only 8:30 am in the morning and you somehow made me cry.
I feel like there may be a theme of addiction or depression in this. It tore him apart to save her when she was drowning. And after her saved her she had to help put him back together.
This video made me cry... The little dinosaur is very brave!! I wish there will be a happy ending...hope they can see and hug each other again!!!
She LOST someone important and from that loss, she FOUND a new purpose.

No I just think it's still sad. But eventually she'll either bring him back or give up and carry on. Or will she sit there til she finally does die? But why did he save her then? He wanted her to live.. But she doesn't want to live without him. It's a beautiful story.. True love never really dies, though..
