  • We are taught that material gain brings happiness only to find that you reach 1 peak & there's another in front of you , hence that self gratification is short lived , it becomes addictive of a dog chasing it's tail , then you slow down & realize you spent most of ur life chasing illusions , kids r grown & nowhere , wife is prob an ex or has affairs , the house is a house not a home & you r alone. Wasted time you can't get back , the Parties r ova & all have left you , you r surrounded by ur success - like mcscrooge duck , dollar bills - printed paper - that is not the measure of a life well lived. A Buddhist monk once said ' I met a poor man today , all he had was money'.

  • I'm not convinced carlos was involved. I think the stabbing him in the back as a form of torture was symbolic. Was probably one of the people whose money he stole that wouldn't get any back.

    • Many years ago, I used to walk around with Canadian 1000 notes. Now you can't get them. I used to laugh at the look on peoples faces as I'd go to pay with the 1000 note; they never had change!

  • The children of the HK brother went to his sister in the US so see the grandfather a lot and seem to be cared for well -at least with both dead sons the father has grandchildren but what a waste. it is not the brothers at fault - it is their murdress and murderer.

    • Oh, well, if you compare his shirt to the background music, I take the shirt anytime. It looks like quite cute nightgown, and Scrooge would have loved it!!! It's a misters to me there needs to be music banging away in the background when people stream trying to talk to us. It's so, so weird !!! There's no one yapping away on the stage when the orchestra is playing, when I go to classical music concerts. 😊
