  • If I had fallen out of love with my husband and then found out that he had shot someone, I don’t think I’d be arguing with him. I’d leave. Surely, shoes and pearls are not enough. He had no right to do what he did but surely she paid a high price for her luxury life style.

    • Stop victim blaming, her husband was a vile murderer who had previously evaded justice. He should have been sentenced to life.

  • I am surprised that the judge presiding over the trial of Michael Oaks has not imposed a caveat in the sentencing: You will rot in jail until your last breath if you do not tell the family of Mark Stover where you disposed of his remains. If you do tell where you disposed of Mark's remains, then you would be eligible for parole in 26.5 years.

  • On the first one she should have left him when she found out about his actions in the USA. The poor poor lady. He had 3 children already in the USA. I don't know how many he then had with Lucy. Also we women should earn our own money - lots of women in the Uk earn more than husbands - it is never going to go well when women marry richer men who are 20 years older . I suppose at least their children will have some inheritance in due course not that is any comfort. On the second one Oakes not surprisingly was found guilty and I bet his victim's ex wife put him up to it.
