I never watched women tennis but rybakina is so calm and focused she makes me fall in love with women tennis 🎾🎉😊
Rybakina is scary good right now. Her mental strenght have improved so much. I still think that this is still not her best performance but she really showed the mentality of a champion.
That was nowhere near her best. She would have held in that first game if she was playing her best and broke in the first game of the 2nd.
Indeed. The best is yet to come. She needs some more consistency on the first serve. When that fires, lots of free points with rarely anything besides straight set wins. I see a handful of slams coming her way over the next 2-3 years while peaking.
@@georgemavrides3434 If she improves her 1st serve average to about 60 to 65%(a very realistic goal)she will win more than just a few slams. Right now she is the favorite for Wimbledon again and most likely the US Open and she will undoubtedly get the Australian Open soon if not next year.
shes really cute too
I agree. If she make less errors nobody can beat her for the moment.Lucky for her opponents she makes errors-)
Ribakina"s ability to win when she's not playing her best is very impressive. Very smart player, very exciting fto watch, awesome for the game.
Agreed, She's in the final, yet she still says she getting used to conditions in miami, who else can say that🙌👑✅️
Elena is a great sports woman. When she won the game she was so cool. She would not scream if she hit a winning shot. She is so gentle with a big heart. Congratulations
The outstanding thing about Elena's performance today was her fearlessness. She is not afraid to go for her shots even when she was missing so many, and she seems to make them when she needs them most. So clutch!
I refer to this as her emotional IQ which is extremely high, and bookends her skill level, which is as high as anyone's in women's tennis
Deals with her emotions really well and I love her “if this point/ game/ set isn’t mine, then the next one will be” mentality.
killer instinct
A Champion Mentality. Was behind for almost whole the game chasing but once she gets front. She finishes it on style. Coach didn't need to talk at every point. Elena is so correct on that call and she has that confidence she can pull up those down sets. Hatsoff Ryba❣️
She was down 3-0 in the second set. That means she won 6 of the next 7 games. STEEL nerves and tenacity. And Pegula is one of the most consistent players in WTA.
@@einarsd4 Really😂😂 u seems to be ostapenko fan
@@kinglucifer4579 it is a dumbass ignore it
einars dubvroskis is a rybakina hater and a troll. he keeps posting the same comments about rybakina and about the hawkeye system and umpires favoring her. what a sc*mbag.
@@kinglucifer4579 Rules clearly disagree with Hawkeye and Thomas Sweeney. According to official tennis rules in singles during a point a player losses a point only if the ball hits the net, lands anywhere outside singles court (doubles court, doubles baseline or outside the court). Hawkeye didn't call the lines that way at all. Clear favoritism towards Rybakina and biased line calls.
Elena just delights me, because of her I began to watch women's tennis again! Very beautiful tennis and a beautiful soul!
That was maybe the worst match for Elena in Miami (6 double faults and 54% 1st serve percentage) but the way she was able to win it against a super consistent player like Pegula and even in 2 sets is impressive for the fans and scary for her opponents!
agree. IMPRESSIVE
She freaking find the way to win when she's not at her best. Really like what RBK brings to the sport.
Pegula was actually defeated by herself. Still, she is a tough girl.👏
yes whoever she plays in the final, she should be in form and ready to strike. Very impressive she is down 3-1 and 4-2 in the second set and come back
Elena Rybakina=Patience +peace+ Maturity to accept success and failure equally=Success.. Best wishes for success. Keep up the natural character and success will follow.
Rybakina is on fire. Back to back to final as Iga did in 2022.
So lovely.. so calming.. so elegant.. so sincere.. congratulate Ryba..^^
Amazing comeback in the 2nd!! Wow - Elena is rockin her game right now.
Elena has a "not today" mentality
Finally takes her revenge for last year defeat at Miami. Elena is silently tearing apart the top seeds one by one, improving her h2h. All the best for Finals Elena!
Everyone knows who was the real favorite in this match (:
she is way above everyone else atm, Pegula was not the favorite for sure in this match.
@@Boimli Are you saying that Pegula was the real favourite?
@@janparchanski9242 No, the opposite, pegula higher seed, but Elena the clear favorite :)

Great Job Elena🔥🔥✅✅ it was difficult match for you, but you did it👏🏻👏🏻 Amazing comeback on boths sets🔥WoW Crossing the fingers on final🤞🤞🤞 Kazakhstan Alga🇰🇿🇰🇿
She's getting better & better match by match & definitely gonna end the season within top 3 .Hope she can play this level on clay 🤞🤩😍
She made quarterfinals at the French in 2021 and beat Serena Williams in straight sets. She's a much tougher/better player now. She is going to do well, I believe.
its horrific seeing her STILL ranked BEHIND Coco "Choko" Gauff :( seriously! but then you remember she lost 2000! points for the Woke War bullshit

Finally, a calm and quiet player that is worth rooting for.
Rybakina simply the best! You deserve to win. Go for the Sunshine Double.❤️🙏😊
Miami is more like humid dump than a sunshine. Terrible place to play tennis actually.
LOST
The Ice Queen was skating a very thin line but she somehow pulled out a nail biting win. Even not playing her best she wins , very clutch player!
LOST
Her simple, humble and cute nature is best. I like that
What makes Ryba different from others is she is ready to take results whatever it could be thus she plays fearlessly and gives 100% of her level
Good point
Yeah, you see the match point for Badosa in a previous match, she not just survived she won whole match
AND SHE LOST
So calm and composed...even after winning a match !!
Back-to-back Masters finals!!! Bravo, Elena, bravo!!! Hopefully You'll get the title!!!
I am blown away. How many comeback wins is that. The mentality is off the charts.
Congratulations to my Queen Elena. Always rooting for you all the way from South Afrika.
Congrats Rybaaa queen of calm ness🎉🎉.. Well deserve to win against Pegula. Nice match!
So good to watch two ladies crush it with absolutely zero screaming
she is becoming the Terminator of women tennis , every match when is behind and her come backs are stronger , well done Rybakina
Pretty soon she will be breaking more often than her opponents are holding.
Rybakina is the future #1.❤❤❤
Rybakina is playing so solidly. Love her.
елена. как.в. алга.
Elena showed that she is a fighter and at the most crucial turning points she was able to overcome, first of all, herself. The first serve made it a formidable weapon, but short cuts were just as effective. Good game. The girls showed all their best qualities. The main thing now is to relax and get ready for the final.
So strong player...Reybakina❤
Yeah, she is calm but those double faults and trying to ace of every first serve is gonna bite her in the a.. on the long run. She is my fav player of the tour but you can’t have 6 double faults in that level. Pegula was this close to grab the game, much respect.
@@oneraksakal Rybakina would have lost this match if Hawkeye and Thomas Sweeney didn't make so many incorrect line calls.
Even without her first serve today she found a way to be victorious. I never doubted her for a second. She is in the zone and getting better and better. The extra day rest will be crucial. I would put my house on her now to win but I don't want to jinx her. Love watching her ascendancy to the top of the game
she has confidence. Shot doesn't go in? who cares, she'll make the next one. Love to see her just taking everything in stride.
@@yellowmamba2952 yes I was expecting a reaction after that amazing rally where she made an error to gift Pegula the point but nothing, just in stride. love to see it. Great role model

Tony Arrow, So obvious as long as she stays healthy Elena has the class, power and weapons in her game to be world no 1 fo the foreseeable future, amazing how se plays the crunch points so brilliantly.
YOU LOST YOUR HOUSE AND THE DOG. BEAT BY A BETTER PLAYER
Elena ❤ look at that power on some of those shots, amazing
Rybakina plays to win points...Pegula plays to not lose points. Rybakina is also able to find a winner when she needs one and that is the mark of a player who is going to win many titles if she plays consistently at this level.
My Queen. Cold icy winner. How come you are so composed? Amazing.

@@cajayshwani correct!
Best of luck for final match, Elena rybakina 🙏🙏🙌👏👏
Congratulation! Well done Rybakina💕💕💕
I watched this entire match - highlight reels are deceptive. This was really Pegula's match to lose. She started off breaking Rybakina in both sets. Both players were in top form, despite the rain delay. But toward the end, you could tell Pegula was losing steam and Rybakina pounced. She has such a sweet face but in this match you could really see the gritty underpinnings of her style of play. She's constantly looking for vulnerability in her opponents game, and the moment she sees it, a competitive ferocity emerges.
I disagree. You are right about this game being in Pegula's favor, but she was playing a mediocre game. She had a challenging time against Potapova; almost losing because of her stubbornness; seing her triying to make her unispired dropshots work repeatedly was infuriating. Obviously, she was as fatigued as Rybakina; but she had the upper hand during the first half of each set and choked anyway. I don't know if playing doubles hinders her ability to focus. I really think she should train her dropshots more; lost two decisive games because how poorly executed those were.
I watched the match and saw some high level of tennis from both players. Elena is underrated and her tenacity was the difference in this match in my opinion. Pegula I an excellent player also.
@@ricknelson4721 Yeah, obviously they are both world class. But the initial comment implied that Pegula brought her A-Game which is false. Both players played at their average, great level nonetheless yet not even close to their best. The high number of unforced errors and the break of serve fiesta in the last couple of games is a testament of this. Rybakina won because, despite playing at her 60%, she is strong-minded and kept her cool.
So proud of Elena in this match, that mental toughness of hers such a weapon against her opponents no matter what position she is in, she stays calm and fights ice cool, im so proud of her in this tournament not playing her best but having the will and fight to get it done against constant adversity but stays fearless, im definitely a fan for life, I love her demeanor, only greatness awaits her and a true champion and future world no1
Champion of our hearts ❤️
I hope that her clay season will also go well like she's doing in hard courts. C'mon Lenaa 💪🔥
Big congratulations to Elena Rybakina. She has overcame the hurdles and obstacles of Pegula's toughness and the previous two losses of their past encounters. Elena's confidence is no doubt the main factor by winning 13 games in a row now without any major physical injuries. The winning recipe here is her toughness, focus, and concentration without any distractions despite Pegula's personal attributes in the background specially being a wealthy American. This is indeed about a Tennis game and a determination to win and be a great sports model to the younger generation. Cool, calm, and collective are the ingredients which define Elena Rybakina as a person.
BEEEEEEAST!!! Love her quiet humility and focused demeanor. Her elegant, devastating power game alone speaks louder than all the hype men and women making noise for all the other players!!!

I doubt so... I see her like one of the biggest stars of the decade, but not like GOAT level player...
I don’t think she has enough time to do this but you won’t be as far off with your predictions as people think.
Control emotion, control you game!
Ain't able to say anything bout the match I'm sleeping... anyway Rybakina infuriated with the coach is legitimately funny 😂😂 Congrats for the final 👏👏
She just turned to the coach and said that she couldn't do anything after a bad hit. Is that what you call "furious"? She never even threw a racket. As always, she was completely calm the whole match.
Rybakina fighting spirit remembers me of Rafa. Rybakina just never give up. Her simplicity, humble attitude, cool and calm Nature makes her different from others.
Sunshine double beckons for Elena. Congrats! 🎉
That’s how the real World #1 should play! Well done Elena! May the trophy be yours 🏆

I don´t know if something like a Rybakina fanclub exists, but if it doesn´t someone should set it up straightaway. Not only she is an outstanding tennis player, she is also always so cool and composed, never has a bad gesture or attitude in a match, no over the top celebrations when she wins, most of the time we see a smile on her face.... Definitely my favourite player in the WTA tour. I wish her much more success in the future to come.

Elena will get sunshine double... she's an ice and ace queen... unstopable right now... lobe her so much❤️
Pple saying she is winning "when not playing well" don't understand her n the game.. U cant be playing badly whole tournament and win it(long odds).. What Elena has above all other players currently is awareness, intelligence and superb game reading... She will "appear to be struggling" but switch something suddenly... The opponent and even fans won't be keen enough and looking close enough to know what she just did... That's why everyone thinks she is winning while struggling.. A keen person will see sublime game tactics that will shock you.. That's why she struggles to even get along with her coach coz even her coach is surprised now and then like everyone!!
My two favourite WTA players. I wish they met in the final 😞.
Very humble player elena rybakina..what a performance..superb gameplay..comeback set down and win a game .
Rybakina is a great player and very strong mentally. Has a super strong forehand. During this long winning streak she has saved a lot of set points at various times and her game always seems to improve as a match develops. I've been betting on her and it has been profitable! She is still incredibly underrated - in real terms she is the world number 1 right now.
Pegula is the strongest competitor for Rybakina on this tournament and she's passed by. Elena must take this Sunshine Double. And I'm looking forward for Elena's getting No 1 this year
Killer backhand on the second point in the tiebreak
Two great players! Rybakina scared me in the first set!
Amazing match! Yelena is amazing. Love her
If I was Wimbledon, I'd seed her #1 or #2, regardless of rankings. She'll probably be close to that anyway, even without the 2000 points (she deserves) for winning Wimbledon last year. The pressure will be interesting tho in July - but between now and then she should focus on staying healthy and the results will take care of themselves. So happy for her success.
I have never seen such an amazing player of Tennis in my life, amazing to see , amazing to win and amazing to bounce back from ashes ,keep going and keep shining, rybakina💐🎁

I feel like both players are really clean in the way they play as in you don't really realize that they're hitting with a lot of pace but it's going really fast and zipping through the court.. congrats to Elena though 👏
It's been brought up by a number of analysts that Pegula plays doubles which puts her at a disadvantage when she plays singles too. Makes sense because of all the energy it takes. I wish she would take a break in doubles to see if she could win a singles title. Whatever, it was a strange situation where I was cheering for Pegula but Rybakina is my favorite player. I hope she wins Miami.
I think she should play doubles in 250-1000 events but then focus on singles at Grand slams. The doubles does really help with her reaction time that’s why she has brilliant return game and net game.
As the person above pointed out, doubles can help improve a player’s singles game. But if a player regularly goes very deep into both singles and doubles, then I agree the strain can impact their singles chances, Krejcikova for example probably would be ranked a lot higher in singles if she wasn’t so successful in doubles

Rybakina’s key to success isn’t just her powerful strokes but her strong mental strength! That ability to keep working on her game, and finding loopholes in her opponents game to get back after being down in both the sets is commendable to say the least. Hoping for a sunshine double for her
That’s why she is going to eventually hold a winning record against Sabalenka.
