    • Lol 100 per cent such an entertaining fighter, love Jiri. If he want's to ever beat Alex though he's gotta stop winging wild punches and start checking those kicks, implement the wrestling. When Alex knocked Jiri out with a mild looking counter I was shocked. But Alex literally just did it again against Hill as well. I'm very clued up on Alex now studied all his kickboxing matches ( he did loose to Izzy on the second and I hate Izzy lol ). But man his power just with a jab is insane over and over. If he catches anyone with a massive winging punch he might kill someone. Loved Jiri's performance last weekend.

  • I love this renaissance of Jiri Prochazka. He called the campaign going back to his roots, and what he's had to say, about learning, building, rebuilding, that you could see it in his fight, you also saw when it slipped, towards the end, straight back in boxing range, but leaving that gap for his opponent as he's looking for the finishing shot... I'm very impressed that he is pushing past what got him to this point. So many guys can't break free from what got them to the top, can't break free from what has worked and will always work, as their secrets are pried open and their mystery evaporates, even as they feel the same drive and hunger. Jiri's studies, he said they got him finding his purpose, a path, and the tools to achieve them... those studies sound like they will/are perfect for the new path he has set for himself and the humility and insight it requires. Too focused on the target, didn't play more. It didn't look too lightly, lightly on the broadcast. He just had to wait out Aleksander's initial assault and subsequent hopelessness as he saw he wasn't breaking through. His foot took major damage from those kicks, too. Jiri's focus was tangible, you could feel it, not just see it. A big cat starting the chase and not blinking until dinner has been delivered. So Jiri is looking for more tactical patience? Not a bad idea, but aside from using his powerful jab more, it's a beautiful thing - and introducing the short, powerful shot, so the opponent doesn't have that gap to make their own shots, or feint him - the only meaningful moment for Aleks was when he got that fist/arm/elbow across Jiri's face, and it was set up with a great feint jab, followed immediately with a real jab, then the cross and it outfoxed Jiri - is using his hands as a more immediate, natural guard. Head movement can have him putting himself right in front of Pereira's left hook, level change can be read. The well drilled opponent will fire off something in those moments. The warrior hair has been put away, now urban man hair. Jiri's hair and beard have hit a really fine moment, he looks really good, evoking every kind of warrior of every clan or tribe or kingdom. Bestest wifi with his warrior hair, bestest energy and power. And a flat car battery? Jiri had better not agree to fight in two weeks, even if it's for the belt. Go read something and process that victory. Wipe = vibe.

    • I think Hill is definitely the underdog against Jiří(but he has potential, his prep shows he thugs through)-I mean it, he should have seen these coming, yet he was confident in throwing. The reasoning of how and why people judge Glover vs Hill/Procházka is very misleading, and "seeing what I want" kind of a thing. Hill needs to get stronger, to have not rely on throwing baseballs, and to get an actual handfighting chance against guys Like Pereira, Procházka, or Rakić. I think Hill is favourite against Ankalaev, but Hill´s style is an amalgamation of what Jiří started with and competed against,+ solid grappling. Fighting Hill seems like it would "Turn ON" the old Procházka, no matter how Jiří felt, and that would be a bad day for Hill most probably. Hill has good legs, but he needs to be leaner and stronger. He was getting hit with the same things Procházka was in their glover fights. Hill has the tools, but he needs polish and reconsideration, Procházka needs to use what he has better. The rest of getting better as can, same as everyone. The angles and guard of pereira are wide, yet stable, with a wide handfighting range and torque, there is a reason why "fast strikers", try to throw overhands or other, especially why advancing, they do not quiite succeed with the setup, because, they aren´t fast enough(Ooh, Baby!). They need to match Pereira from "that far", and make an opening. He catches TDs like a main character. Grabs a sack, and walks back at worst. The lack of effective reach the fighters "feel" has its reasons. Pereira can keep you from going in, is big, mega stable, and can get one over you with basic handfighting, which carries "mandatory" leg kick punishment. He is broad, as far as his advancement angles, he can protect and attack from wide angles. Pereira is effectively inches longer than reach suggests, as being pushed or parrying from basically any angle the guys use, doesn´t require a center of gravity chance, or a noticeable posture reaction, hence how he "whack a moles" them. Ther e is areason why he swats people away, secure with his footing, as they borderline stumble, or as they extend enough to be punished for it, hoping they have the timing down. Guys looked desperate fighting him, and Procházka was by far the better. Hill needs more strength, you can´t get you punches in, when faced with a sarlac pit like Pereira. He is extremely torqy, and the angles he commands are miserable for the opponents. Hill needs to get leaner and stronger. Improve cardio/approach to what he can and cannot do, be more critical. Pereira is extremely well worked as a fighter, I am not saying he is unbeatable, but he has really hit his stride, and the guys need to be more active within what they know they can do, not like Jiří pressing Alex, thinking him too hurt to get back(like Izzy vs Alex), or Hill thinking he could just outstrike Alex, in the condition he was in, yet the guy has your reach, and you cannot get anything in, where is the "factor" you lean on, if you want to win? Looking for openings that Alex basically never has. What is that, bro. Get into the details and keep yourself alive while pestering the other guy. There is gotta be something concrete as far as physical preparation you can lean on. Just get leaner, jamahal. Or is that the leanest you can get, visibly fatter than all the others? A bit of Rhomboid, better pelvic floor is not needed? "An orthodox Procházka" is favourite based on build alone, that I think is something a coach should see. There is something unadressed in the Hill camp. He can do better. Jiří is favourite against Hill, as Hill was. He has extra points ge can get posture wise, more than the others, IMO, he should go after it. Procházka can fight Ankalaev aswell, but I am not sold on Ankalaev. Hill is IMO a clear underdog right now, yet he can get way better, so IDK who Jiří should fight. Is there anyone deeper in the ranks, that could surprise? The guys might be as good as Rakić or Ankalaev. I don´t know, "feeding" someone to a top centender isn´t something to propagate either..

    • @@besmart2350 So there is no physical part of fighting ? Mentality is a big part but it's not 100% more like 70%.... If you want to get philosophical advice about fighting , best thing you can do is watch Cus D'amato. Connor was great at using that mental aspect in trashtalking and getting into opponents head no doubt about that. but he still proved his skills in a cage .... I have no doubt that being mentaly strong helps you win the fights , but it's not the only thing that wins the fights.

      @doposud@doposud12 күн бұрын
    • @@besmart2350 It's as important. If you have the best mindset in the world, you will never win anyway if you can't fight and gas out in 15 seconds. On the other hand, you can be the best fighter on the planet and you'll never win if you crumble under pressure and give up.

      @EgoCZ@EgoCZ12 күн бұрын
    • Agree, its his spirit, he is incredibly tough, for example against Pereira he was out for split second but his body never stoped, you can watch it, first he said he was out and its ok stoppage, he said it out of humbleness, it was almost automatical as he didnt want to make excuses on the place, but later he said he was able to continue, and he was able to survive and even twist it, but he didnt say it out of excuse, just made statement.. and he was after sickness in that fight, there are no many people that can understand the mindset needed for something like this. He is also kind of warrior that need to feel oponents power, he need it to wake up that killer instinct in him, to bring him completely into flow.

      @daquist18@daquist1812 күн бұрын
    • @@daquist18 Well yeah that all happened, but he also got Alex on the ground throwing elbows in round 1 and he was winning round 2. He took some shots to the temple while trying to get Alex on the ground, which he did and then the ref ended the fight. He was conscious at all times. In the Rakic fight he also got his leg hurt and came out on top. So yeah still think he had his number. But we'll see i guess.
