  • It's good to see rubber powered scale models flying gracefully without porpoising in calm morning air.

    • Especially fun to have some aircraft types I didn't know of & some I'd not heard of since the 1970s when Dad would give me his aircraft magazines after he'd read them a couple times.

  • That Grumman Widgeon is my all time favorite, I saw the plans in an old Flying models magazine, maybe 1993. This one flies so elegant. Great!

  • Amazing stuff!! Great photography as well. Half a lifetime ago I used to fly with the original FAC club in Connecticut. The models were very good then, but the "craft" has advanced a lot in 40 years.

  • Gotta love a Grumman amphib, because, hey, Grumman amphib! 😁 All the planes looked grand, and at their grandest doing their natural-born free flight life.

  • Your videos are awesome!!! Never tire of watching these beautiful models fly. Have you ever thought of getting someone to shoot air drone photography of planes? ??

    @aidengriffen@aidengriffen8 ай бұрын
    • Thx. My son filmed with a drone a few years ago, but truthfully it adds another level of complexity that at this point, gets in the way of flying. Still, I know it could be fun. I've added mini-cams to a few of my larger models, which has given us some fantastic views.

  • Absolutely beautiful film. A great touch to get the Driedecker in there at the end, v nice stills by the lady. Loads of great planes in this, but my fave of this lot has to be the Babcock, although from Tom I'm also v taken with the Boeing Delta.. It seems that these relatively chunky fuselage profiles do well in the 'presence in the air' stakes, in the medium.. Many outstanding people in this. Thanks Tom! ⭐👍

  • Another masterpiece! It's just nice to follow a flight from launch to landing and to have such lovely music to accompany it all... What was that backwards flying plane? It was bizarre, closely followed by the push me pull me one. Both by the same maker I suspect.

  • Hi Max, One of my two middle names is Maximillian. I fly full sized gliders and R.C. Yup, I can’t give up being a pilot and controlling my airplanes but I watch a lot of your flying. I’m eighty-five now and many of my flying buddies are gone. I don’t have a car but I love watching your videos. My first flying buddy is still okay but cataracts prevent even model flying for now. Surgery can help. I did solo power but the future of most ASEL (aircraft single engine land) pilots is chasing the hundred dollar hamburger. As, let’s fly to,Albany and get a hamburger. They have no place to go so they have lunch an hour away. As a glider pilot I never chase the hundred dollar hamburger. Like you, I chase thermals but instead of looking up, I look down.

    • That's great, Pete. Thx for relating some of ur flying history. Glad u enjoy the channel, and good to hear that ur still getting up into the blue. Ever since I was a kid, I tended to get 'air sickness" when I flew in small aircraft with my dad and his friends, so I'm much better flying with my feet on the ground, chasing calm air, thermals, and the majestic sky & light. Cheers.
