Every time this song comes on, i always think about the heartache and pain i went through last year losing my mom, and my boyfriend of 5 years breaking up with me. My tears are planned now because, then, my tears didn't know what pain truly was until everything happened. Mileys voice in this ballad really pull on the broken heart strings and puts some strands back together every time this comes on, because i know theres more people just like me hiding their pain.

Man, oh man, this broke me me in half, and let me cry hearing it from the other side ironic, right ? Ha, oh lord, I love this and all of it ... everyone buy myself flowers.. after 20 years, when the abuse got too bad, I left a 20-year marriage, and I went to decorate per usual for Valentine's Day. I bought grocery flowers, and my littlest son said cause it was playing on the radio he said mama this is your song for real. You take yourself dancing. You talk to yourself. Kids can surprise you with their insight. After my divorce, as my ex was dropping them off in my parking lot he berated me and made demands. I had decided to say "okay" in a non-confrontational way to all his craziness. On the walk to our apartment my 7yo (now 25yo) squeezed my hand tight. She told me "I'm so proud of you not letting daddy start a fight." My eyes welled up. You're showing your kids self-love, strength and so much more. At 25yo she is so much stronger, has love for herself and is everything I wanted her to be. Actions speak louder than words. It's hard mama. You are doing an amazing job. ❤

Every time this song comes on, i always think about the heartache and pain i went through last year losing my mom, and my boyfriend of 5 years breaking up with me. My tears are planned now because, then, my tears didn't know what pain truly was until everything happened. Mileys voice in this ballad really pull on the broken heart strings and puts some strands back together every time this comes on, because i know theres more people just like me hiding their pain.

Kids can surprise you with their insight. After my divorce, as my ex was dropping them off in my parking lot he berated me and made demands. I had decided to say "okay" in a non-confrontational way to all his craziness. On the walk to our apartment my 7yo (now 25yo) squeezed my hand tight. She told me "I'm so proud of you not letting daddy start a fight." My eyes welled up. You're showing your kids self-love, strength and so much more. At 25yo she is so much stronger, has love for herself and is everything I wanted her to be. Actions speak louder than words. It's hard mama. You are doing an amazing job. ❤
