    • @@arqarnahsan6264 im scared 😐 nonetheless each brain has its own system and the decoder has to be calibrated first to understand the patterns. And for something as complex as a thought of a picture for example (that in itself is a mix of all different kind of objects) the decorder has to know so much, that i have no idea how one would calibrate that system. But yeah, maybe with quantum computers, better neural acitvity detectors, advanced machine learning and Big data, it may be possible. I would record my dreams lol. But to be honest we are all better off if no one had that technology...

    • Yes this is true, but this tech has many advantages just as it has disadvantages I can see robotics arms working like how you see them in the movies, rather than what be have now. Sure it can be used to control others, or even have use in military applications but this tech is ultimately something that we are just going to deal with. For better or worse

    • Primates are very confident; once they know how to do something they will do it quickly and likely without error. You can see there’s pretty much no hesitation when they perform an action. If you got a monkey to understand the mechanics of Dark Souls, you could theoretically get it to reliably beat a boss assuming the exact same setup each time.

  • The idea of microchips in the brain is pretty scary, but in the case of using it for paralysed people to use a computer is a very good idea, I’m personally more afraid of paralysis than death, to be trapped in my own body unable to do anything. I’m a gamer with this kind of technology if I was a quadriplegic I could play my games and mentally escape my body

    • You mean we now freed our limbs to do other stuff with it? When apes first became bipedal it freed their hands and they were able to carry food and other stuff with them. Neuralink in it's true and full potential is going to be as significant as opposable thumbs was, we can't even imagine the possibilities.

Technology has become the next evolution of mankind. If I am cold I no longer have to grow more hair. I can create a fire. If I am hot I can turn on the AC.
