Great stuff. Seen quite a few tipped nests, Songy in particular! Shame about the little Chiffy but great to see your Blackcap👍 I read an article last year about the Blackcap building a few nests.. then one chosen. Never knew that!! 👍👍👍

Ahhhh I knew that the male liked to play silly beggars and build little platforms but never knew they built multiple nests. Anything in that article to suggest if there were signs one had been selected? Like wrens lining with feathers or anything?

How do they make those nests with only a beak ?

They'll use their beak to weave the frame around the surrounding vegetation, then as they add material they'll use a combination of their beaks to move it into place and their bodies to make that cup shape
