Reactors Reaction To Grogu Leaving With LUKE SKYWALKER On The Mandalorian Season 2 | Mixed Reactions
Reactors reaction to Luke Skywalker taking Baby Yoda/Grugo and seeing Mando's and The baby final farewell, as well as reactions to R2-D2 arrival, on season 2 episode 8 of The Mandalorian. The season 2 finale titled The Rescue was one of the most emotionally charged episodes. It marks one of the very few times Mando has removed his helmet in the presence of others. Doing it both times just because of the incredible bond between him and Baby Yoda

Proud Dad
This is the new way boi
Absolutely
Only that he took off the helmet one episode before in a scene where it was absolutely not necesseray from a dramatical standpoint. So his reveal was robbed of 90% of it's impact. That ship had sailed. Btw R2 is not back because he never was gone. They uselessly shove him into every single iteration of SW. I have no idea how one would confuse '"over used" with "is back".
@@j.m.w.5064 You kind of missed the point. Him taking his helmet off for the face-scanner shows how far he's willing to go to protect Grogu, "his son". Him taking off his helmet before sending Grogu to Luke? That demonstrates he genuinely cares for Grogu, not simply because his Mandalorian creed dictates he be responsible for Grogu. He wanted "his son" to remember his face.

I had never cried before in Star Wars. Never. Until this scene. 25 years of watching Star Wars and this one scene broke me.
I grew up watching Star Wars and one of my earliest memories in life is crying when Darth Vader takes his mask off for Luke in RotJ
My first time was watching Ep 3 in theaters during Order 66. I cried like a baby.
My first time no cap was when lady frog reunite with his husband in episode 3, idk why but that made me cry a bit. That and the death of Luke looking at the twin suns
@@AmericanBoy-si9zg I choked up then as well, and with this episode.
@@AmericanBoy-si9zg I grew up on Star Wars thanks to my family being massive fans. I was 11 when episode 1 came out and when episode 3 was over I cried so much in the theater. It was a whole wave of emotions, the fact that I was alive to experience Star Wars movies when they opened in theaters and then crying because it was episode 3 and there were never going to be any more Star Wars movies after that... or so I thought.
I swear they had R2 come in at that exact moment because they KNEW so many of us would be crying our eyes out & we needed a moment of pure joy. *R2D2 - saving the day since 1977* .

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone of you all. I love you, my amazing friends.
Not a dry eye in the theater!
Every adult Star Wars fan who watched this was instantly a kid again and utterly wrecked. Bravo JF & DF, you've restored hope in the franchise during the one of darkened years of many people's life. They rolled a Nat20 with the finale.

So true!
44 years ago, nobody was expecting a single little robot, can make many people start screaming.
44 years ago, nobody was expecting that litlle green creature with big ears and huge eyes can make the people to feel like parents
R2-D2 is like the assistant at the paediatrician’s office that is there to comfort the children and make them laugh during the scary moments of the check up
Jon Favreau really is the GOAT this season really was a 10/10 for me and Ludwig Göransson killed the score again I hope he makes music for future Star Wars shows or even movies
If anyone else looks very closely at the mandalorians face, you can see his lip quiver a little bit.
My feels are not your playthings! 😭
Pedro Pascal is a great actor. He’s really good in “Narcos” and was really good in the few episodes of “Game of Thrones” he was in too.
He show emotions across 2 seasons with a helmet, he is a terrific actor, and make cry of joy millions of persons is not a easy task. This is the way
He also had tears, just didn't pour over yet.
This is definitely one of the most emotional moments in Star Wars history, but it also makes me question if R2-D2 and Grogu have met during the Clone Wars.
It stands to reason, since R2 was at the temple during the Clone Wars
@@bemasaberwyn55 the "Clone Wats" part of your comment gave me a good laugh.😂 Also it stands to reason that since R2-D2 was the droid that frequently accompanied Obi Wan and Anakin throughout most of the Clone Wars (and well before the time of the first prequel movie) it safe to assume that R2-D2 was well acquainted with the Jedi Temple and likely knew Grogu from the time spent there.
I'm not even a Star Wars fan and this shit made me tear up and cry a bit with them. Empathy is an insane human emotion. It's as if I felt like a life-long Stars Wars fan and felt the euphoria, the sadness, and bittersweet melancholy. God damn it. That was beautiful. That was phenomenal.

R2D2 interaction with grogu/baby yoda is one of the cutest thing's I have ever seen.

Nobody ever comments how Mando tells Grogu to not be afraid, and we all know what fear can lead to.
I’ve never cried watching Star Wars...not until this series, this episode...gutted me...but worth every minute.
This scene cuts deep. Especially if you have lost your Dad like I did. What I would give to look in my Dads eyes again. This scene really moved me. Perfect.
Tbh, I'm ambivalent with regards to the phrase. But, Luke uttering "May the Force be with you" really hit me hard.
Me too.
I was more emotional seeing R2 thank Luke for some reason. That Droid literally is the backbone in almost every movie and cartoon and now he's the one who got Grogu to go with them. Bad ass.
As a Star Wars fan, I've been more emotional watching this episode than any other Star Wars film in recent memory.
After almost a week since the episode... I still cry my eyes out watching these scenes!
I feel like this episode was an exercise for men to acknowledge and let out their feelings, and it was a healthy experience. I don't know about anybody else but to me all of these guys are more appealing than anyone who would look down on them for crying at this. This shit was emotionally destroying for anybody with a soul. lol
I don’t think there’s been such a mass coordination of people crying.
Star Wars never made me cry. This scene is the first that I think we have cried all over.
Thanks for adding us. Sooo heartbreaking! We knew it had to happen, but it didn't make it any easier.... :( Merry X-mas and a Happy New Year!!
Yussss
The Mandalorian made an entire fan base happier in the span of 15 minutes than an entire trilogy of sequel films did over the course of 6+ hours. That is how you know a story is good.
For all the things this year that have been driving a wedge between people. It was The Mandalorian that brought us together so we could shed tears of joy. Loved that episode think I’ll rewatch it all over Christmas, new Christmas tradition!
What a good father wont do for his child. That is every good man who is a father. Every good man would do that because that is the way.
*In the next hour be like* Luke: *What ball?* *Hey don't touch that!* *R2 help me!*

I cried more at this than I did at any of the legacy characters deaths in the sequels (especially Leia). Just shows you how powerful film can be

From sadness to happiness in an instant. So happy to see that overweight glob of grease.
That glob of grease is a big damn hero 🙃
I love how everyone has the exact same reaction to seeing R2D2: “ARTOOOOOOOO” lol
Filoni, Reed and Favreau did something I did not expect, nor thought possible: they not only brought on the euphoric high of seeing Luke Skywalker in his prime, but also reproduced the emotional resonance of the ending of ET: The Extraterrestrial when Din says goodbye to Grogu.
Ive watched this scene, and reactions to this scene so many times... yet each time i do it still makes me shed a tear. Major emotional trigger right there

With this, R2D2 has cemented itself as one of the most important characters ever. I may be wrong but I believe R2 has appeared in every SW film, live action and animation except Solo. This is the way.

This is legit the best moment of the series. I mean 2 seasons of character development and at the end you can feel the love Mando has for the kid. Jeez, im crying every time i watch this, music is spot on as well. Fucking 10/10 episode despite the weird cantina scene.
R2: Bruh, there’s just, like, a trail of broken troopers behind you.
CGI Luke; i make the fans cry tears of joy R2D2; hold my oil
One of my favorite things about what's happening in the fandom now is watching grown men go from 10 year olds screamimg, "LUKE FUCKING SKYWALKER!" to total dad moments like, "You show your son your face! " 😭
Was a beautiful moment, one of the greatest in tv history in my opinion.
Why am i torturing myself with this? I managed to not cry when watching the episode. Now i can't stop. Seeing people who love and acre for the franchise makes it so much more emotional.
That ending is textbook definition of bittersweet. You know Grogu is in incredibly good hand's, but you dont want to see them separate. Grogu will only improve in Lukes care, but you know he'll be missing Din the entire time.
Dank farrit, I'm crying my eyes out again.
I haven’t cried this badly since Avengers Endgame
Well in both medias, family is lost.
I'm still not ok from that!
The only 2 times I actually cried watching something was this and Avengers Endgame. Never cried watching the Titanic or Lion King
The feelings I had as a kid watching the original trilogy in the cinema with my brothers came back watching this. Thanks to ALL involved in the making of this amazing series, thank you for bringing Star wars back!
I bawled my eyes out during this scene
Luke is not a jedi He is the jedi
Ok that scared me at first…then I pressed read more. LOL
*The real reason Grogu went with Luke (A Star Wars Theory)* Grogu left with Luke was to protect Mando. In the show, Grogu and Din Djarin created a deep bond and protected each other. Grogu saves Din from Mudhorn, and Mando saves Grogu from the Empire. We see this more time the show of them care for one another and helping each other out. But another thing I believe Grogu notice how much danger Din was in to protect him. Most time, Din could have died with not for the help of friends. Grogu also noticed how sometimes he was unable to help Din because of his weak connection to the force. That means that Din had done most work when they were in danger. I believe the turning point is when Din jumped in front of Grogu to protect him from Moff Gideon's blaster fire. I think Grogue came to the realization that Din could one day sacrifice his own life to save Grogue. Grogue, already having a strong bond with Din, didn't want Din's sacrificing his life for him. Grogue had to make a tough choice; if he stays with Din, he would be putting him in more danger, with Din risking life to protect him. But if he went with Luke, he would but Din out of the danger of risking his life for Grogue. Grogue knew the right thing to do is to let go of Din, so Din can protect himself in danger and not worry about Grogue. This very touching because Grogue is willing to do something that Anakin was not, that willing to "let go ."
Or maybe you're just looking to much into it considering spite Grogu age, hes still a toddler in regards to how the species age, not saying he couldnt make some of the more simple connections, but I dont think a toddler of any species is analayzing things on that level, it was more Din's assessment/choice
@@dillonb5317 Star Wars is mythology, not everything has to make 100% sense. Just using my imagination to make Din and Grogu have a stronger relationship.
Why do you call him ,,Grogu" in the first half of the comment and ,,Grogue" in the second half.
Very astute observation. Makes sense, from a Star Wars perspective.
This is the way! This is what Star Wars means for us. The season finale was amazing.
I’m crying 😭 Hope we will see Grogu in next season❤️
I never was a Star Wars fan. I think they were good at best, iconic for the time, sure. But I always thought they never took the time to go deep with emotions and stuff. Mando has only two seasons, and already so many powerful, yet simple moments. So good.
The music as Luke is walking to the elevator just gets the waterworks going 🥲
Grogu was ready to say "goodbye." But Mando wasn't, and neither were we
Mando season finale is only time I seen actual grown men cried. No meme intended this was truly amazing master piece within the franchise that bought hope to starwars fans. New era of LUCASFILMs has begun.

When R2 showed up, I like thinking his boops and beeps are: “Grogu? Grogu, is that you? It’s me, R2. Remember? We use to play sometimes at the Jedi Temple. It’s great to see you again, buddy! We are going to have so much fun!” Let’s face it, those two are going to get into so much trouble if Luke isn’t careful🤣🤣🤣
17:06 that was my reaction exactly. I was like "Of course R2 was gonna show up too, I mean, I'm already an emotional mess from Luke showing up and Mando taking his elmet off, of course there was going to be more".
I was also crying like a B*tch. :D So emotional chapter.... loved... even now crying. The Mandalorian is 100x better than latest 3 Star Wars movies....

I think Grogu always want to see Mando's face. Remember the episode that Grogu is peeking while Mando is drinking. This is the last time they going to see each other. Think about Mando's feeling everytime he looks at the orb toy of Grogu. :(

Keep in mind the director of the episode also directed the two Ant-Man films.
It is not before R2 speaks to Grougu that he reaches for Luke. It is clear that he remembers R2 from the Jedi temple on Courasant and trust him.
My favorite is still the gents from Heroes Reforged who plainly said they were making jokes to keep from crying, and they chose, "Estes muy guapo, papi. Estes muy guapo."
