    @umapessoa240@umapessoa2402 жыл бұрын
    • No kidding, he did do a good job stalling, hoping help would come. They certainly could have rushed him and killed him faster, but they would have sustained some damage from him since he was still full strength. If they tire him out, they know they can attack with barely any threat to their own pack. It is nearly always more desirable to take no damage than it is to get a kill, so they were being cautious and wearing him out.

    • @@user-Void-Star Actually there's plenty instances in which 10 hyenas have killed mature experienced and healthy male lions (and a few times in which male lions have been killed by less than 10 hyenas. But this is pretty rare for sure) If that other lion had been there the whole time, they both may have been killed by the hyenas. I know that this may seem a bit crazy but hear a brother out you'll catch my drift. As you can see the reason that lion was struggling more and more was because of the way that ALL cats are very sharp, fast and ferocious but run outta energy really really quickly. And hyenas (much like wolves) are relentless and much more brutal in the way that they kill their prey (like bears) . They run their prey down and kill by "death by 1000 cuts" and often begin eating their prey when they are still alive. Had that other lion been there from the beginning there's a good chance that the 2nd lion could of been in the same predicament as the 1st one. Don't get me wrong lions are quite bad asses and 2 lions are more than a match for 10 hyenas. (And I love me some hyenas) I hope you and your loved ones are well wherever you may be. Be well friends!

If he had stayed standing up, they would’ve ripped them off, leaving him in pain and allowing them to go for his throat (which is usually their next move). He fought like a true king. Hyenas would be brave if they fought a lion themselves. Not with an entire pack that is not fair for the Lion.
